Very lovely experience at Pascual tonight.  Three of us dining and trying many different plates, each of which was perfectly delicious. We truly enjoyed every dish.  Their signature taco appetizer was excellent, we especially enjoyed all of the vegetarian appetizers. Fantastic dining. Highly recommend and we will return.

A tiny restaurant with a big personality!  A refined and fresh take on Mexican food from a top tier chef.

Don’t skip the guac service, it’s incredible.  The menu is very seasonal so recommendations are hard but every bite was outstanding.   Basically go with a group of 4 and just order the whole menu.

The room happened to be filled with restaurant industry the night we went from James Beard award winners to  industry leaders in both food and beverage.  Always a great sign to see the culinary community supporting their colleagues.

This was our first time at Pascual, and we went with friends who had been before. We decided to sample almost everything on the menu, sharing each dish around the table, and not a single plate disappointed. Every dish was packed with flavor, perfectly portioned, and beautifully presented. The staff couldn’t have been kinder or more welcoming, adding to the wonderful experience. The drinks, though, were the real standout. Our group tried at least 5 different cocktails, and each one was a 10/10. Our favorite drink was the Verde y Verde, which has a green chile flavor. We’ll absolutely be back for the food, but the complexity and craftsmanship of every drink alone are worth a visit. The team at Pascual truly outdid themselves!

Dining in DC, is paying for ambiance.  Pascual was a wonderful ambiance in learning the finer elements of Mexican cuisine.

NO SALSA IN CHIPS

Guacamole was tasty but it wasn't until I built the perfect bite with the braised lamb neck did I appreciate the understatement of its balance. My friend very much enjoyed her Octopus, she got crispy she'll to accompany her dish.

The bunuelo was a nice finish, but there was the option of flan w/chocolate.  The flan was good but had bitters from dark chocolate that gave the taste of espresso.

I would not dine here again personally, but it makes for a really nice backdrop of a lovely dinner.

Some very high highs here at Pascual. Tacos, sweet potatoes, steak tartare, and shrimp were superb. Loved them. I'm normally not a guac guy but can appreciate the spread. I thought the lamb was decent.

Allt på Pascual var fem stjärnor (eller bättre! ) . Menyn är intressant och inte alls som den vanliga mexikanska maten som du är van att se. Vår servitör var kunnig och mycket hjälpsam. Och maten var bara bra. Vi hade en huvudrätt (lamm Barbocoa) och tre små rätter. Allt var noggrant gjort och utmärkt. För lammet, skiva köttet av halsen, tillsätt det till tortillas tillsammans med några grönsaker, sås efter smak och njut. Bästa tuggan var dock chokladtamalen till efterrätt, men konkurrensen var hård. 

Två flugor i salvan. Det är inte billigt. Middag för två, en huvudrätt, tre smårätter, två desserter, och ett glas vin kostade 240 dollar, inklusive dricks. Värt priset, men du bör vara medveten om. Den andra frågan är buller. Inuti är mycket bullrigt. Det finns en utsida också, om du vill.

Bord är nära varandra men vi tycker ofta om att chatta med andra matgäster så det gör inget. Vi var mycket varmt hälsade och sittande, servicen var effektiv och vår server var helt charmig. Maten är utmärkt! Vi började med guacamole och taco al pastor följt av förkolnad aubergine tamal och lammhals. Lammhalsen var måltidens stjärna, mör och smakrik. Vi var för mätta för dessert och lämnade mycket nöjda. Det påminde oss om några av våra favoritrestauranger i Oaxaca.

Vi stannade här på väg till en vän och vi fick en oväntad överraskning av stor chic atmosfär och extremt bra och sofistikerade vegetariska alternativ. Vi valde flera små tallrikar och de var alla kreativa sätt att servera grönsaker med en sofistikerad blandning av smaker och en mexikansk touch. Desserten var en delikat balans av smaker utan att vara för söt, bara perfekt. Vår server var mycket hjälpsam och glad. Det enda problemet var att musiken var för hög för att chatta
