Friday night. The bar area was full and there were plenty of tables around 6:15. We sat at the bar and the bar staff was very attentive. I ordered French toast for dinner (craving ). Beer selection was ok, would have preferred more craft selections. The atmosphere is always great when we come here.

Went here and had the Queen's cinnamon French toast and the Hail Caesar salad. The French toast was good, I'd give it a 4/5 because I felt like it could've used more raspberry sauce, but overall it was tasty! The Caesar had an interesting flavor, but lacked a decent amount of Parmesan which prompted me to ask for more. This was a massive blunder. Do not ask for additional Parmesan unless you want an extra charge on your bill! As for the service, it was extremely mediocre. The atmosphere was nice but the music was a bit loud.

Went on a Friday night before a football game and expected it to be crazy busy. It was not. We had 5 in our party and the wait staff was great in answering our questions, getting our drinks and taking good care of us. Food was not exceptional but pretty darn good. Couple of us had the chicken, another steak and a salad. Ambiance not too bad, thus the 4 stars. A bit noisy and hard to carry on a conversation, not to mention the live music in the other room but you know what, all in all a great experience.

When in Lansing, we enjoy coming here. The chili is so good! My husband absolutely loves the Ruben, he says it's the best he's ever had! And I can tell you, he's tried plenty. On the weekends, they have live music which is really cool. We sit at the bar to watch sports on the TVs and all the bartenders we've had are all so nice and helpful suggesting foods to try and answering any questions we may have. There's a parking lot near by so parking is never a problem. Would recommend!

Brunch was good! We had the mimosas as well which was a cute bottle of champagne and juice of your choice. The pancake was delicious and the beggar's breakfast bowl was great. The service was great and this place has a lot of seating.

Came here on Christmas Eve. It was empty when we arrived but was absolutely packed by the time we left. If you plan on coming in, get there early! Our server was great! She took care of everything we needed! No complaints! The food was ok! I had the chicken and waffles sandwich and washed it down with a Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary was boozy! It was good but very strong! The place itself is nice. No complaints about the restaurant overall. It was ok, nothing to write home about. There are a lot of options in the area. May return if an opportunity presents itself.

Great burger, sandwich and breakfast. Very nice wait staff. In a downtown area so parking is a challenge, but parking garage is in the back and there's a back entrance. Full bar, too. Cozy booths.

Came to Beggars on football weekend with our daughters. It was a Thursday night. We were hoping to have a great meal to reminisce all the good meals and times early 2000s. That did not happen. Our server was sweet and attentive. However, our dinners were the worst meals we have EVER had in a restaurant. Our six different orders were horrible. The fish and chips was unrecognizable as fish. Batter was oppressive and burnt. The burger was so overly spiced. The Brussels sprouts were just bad!! I could go on but trust me the food was awful. Come on. Limit your menu and take some pride in the food you send out to customers! It's not that hard!

Service: OK, but were ignored past the happy hour deadline and then denied the happy hour appetizers. Food: What happened to you guys? B2 used to be fine gourmet dining in a quirky university setting. We ordered three entres. Fish & chips, burned to almost inedible. Stroganoff with a non stroganoff sauce which made the dish merely blah at best. The duck dish was reported as tasty, but looked like cat v****t. Cocktails: White russian, good. Black russian, good. Whiskey sour, undrinkable. Didn't stay for desert. Have been visisting this place since 1974, but now, sadly, must say goodbye.
