Wow! Truly an incredible place and experience. I was blown away with the level of detail Plus the exquisite beauty of the log structure. Easily rivals the best Western lodges in the Rocky mountains and the Pacific Northwest. I have made it my goal to visit most of North America's great lodges. This is right up at the top with the best of them. The dining room with its double fireplaces was truly over the top! The layout of the resort was excellent, very conducive to families with plenty of activities. Everything was well kept and the service was good. With everybody having a good attitude. I did think the service in the restaurants was not quite top notch But the ambiance made up for it. I will definitely be back. Also a great location in Lake placid.

This place is spectacular. We drove up from Boston for a few days up until New Year’s Day. Everything about this resort was top notch. You feel like you’re in the Montana mountains somewhere. Just a few little things to note among a list of others, that make this place stand out. My daughter wanted another complimentary chapstick so we asked the front desk. When we returned later that day a bag was on our door with one for her and fresh cookies. Also, the valet is complimentary, the car is kept underground and when it’s brought up heated seats and steering wheel were all turned on. If I had to point out one small con, it would be the movie selection. Being such a kid friendly resort, they should play more Disney movies or just kids movies in general. The movie selection was very very strange.

It’s such a kid friendly but classy romantic lodge it’s amazing. The NYE party for kids/adults was awesome as well. Everything from that to the food to the service was top notch.

Downtown lake placid Main Street has a nice Swiss alps vibe to it as well.

We are already planning our NYE trip for next year! Thank you Whiteface lodge for everything.

We brought the kids for a weekend getaway before the craziness of the holidays began. Our daughter is 4 and our son is 1 so we were limited to the activities that we could do in the high peaks region with the weather being as cold as it is so we mostly hung out at the lodge. Beautiful atmosphere, the rooms were so cozy and comfortable and it was very kid friendly. Already planning on going back!

LOVED our stay here!! We came for our mini-moon and it was a real treat! Staff. It was so cozy, peaceful and relaxing and so close to downtown Lake Placid while being tucked away in the woods. There are so many activities on-site; indoor/outdoor pools and hot tubs, bowling alley, game room, movie theatre, hiking trails, s’mores by the campfires etc. Our room was immaculate. The staff were so friendly and accommodating — Mike, a server at Peak 47, was so nice and friendly! We will definitely be back!  Thanks for a great mini-moon! ❤️

My family and I visit the Lodge multiple times a year. We have never been disappointed and there are activities and amenities for all seasons. The lodge itself is gorgeous with an Adirondack Great Camp feel. Nightly smores by the campfire and lean-tos encapsulate the mountain vibe. I have stayed in studios, 1-bedrooms, and two bedrooms, but they also have three-bedroom suites for larger families. All were beautiful.

There is a bowling alley, game room, gym, salon & spa, indoor and outdoor pool, ice rink, sports courts, and restaurants all on-site. In the summer time they provide a shuttle to the private beach club on Lake Placid where they have small restaurant/grill along with kayaks, SUP, and canoes for use.

Close to Lake Placid’s main street and surrounding attractions.

The staff are absolutely wonderful and we cannot wait to visit again.
