I usually love this 9825 San Jose Blvd store but today, not so much. The guy (no name tag) with a buzz cut making the subs was loud, obnoxious, and annoying but appeared to be training the young man with him. The quiet & professional young man working with him smiled and told me to have a good day when he handed me my order. That was the only pleasant experience I had there today. When TJ is there, I have a smile when I arrive, while I'm there, & when I leave. He's the best and it seems like the buzz cut guy could benefit from additional training or maybe find another line of work where he doesn't deal with the public. My subs today weren't that good either and the buns didn't seem toasted and it seemed like it was missing a few of the ingredients that were selected. I didn't know if the guy with a buzz cut was in a bad mood bcuz of the language he used while making the subs behind the counter or if that's just how he is since I'd never seen him B4 but I won't return if he's there. Maybe I'll try another Firehouse next time like in OP.

Best service in Jax. Location always clean and staff very quick for amount of customers. My fav is the tuna sandwich. Consistency is key so they have my vote.

Great location, clean and spacious dining area. Customer service was excellent. Employees are welcoming and professional. Shoutout goes to Scott who helped me with my "Name Of The Day" order today and ensured that I had a pleasant and good dining experience. Food and beverage we're great tasting at this location.

Took forever to get our food. They're doing kiosk orders now. One worker explains it to you. The rest stand behind the bar and probably do door dash orders while sit down customers wait half an hour for a sandwich. Also it was $46 for two meals with tip

I never know what the menu board will offer. Today's special is choice of medium sub with with roast beef, ham or turkey for $4.99. I usually get turkey or meatball subs but prefer Italian. The quality is so much better than other sub shops. Their new steak sub with beer cheese has been in test in Memphis where I used to live. Can't wait to try it in October! I haven't gone thru the drive in at their new location on Baymeadows but hope to soon. I can spend over an hour in traffic getting home from work.

I have mixed feelings about Firehouse Subs. The service is always good and the store is clean. They have a variety of different meats and sandwiches. They have the coke freestyle machines so you can have almost anything that coke makes customized to your taste buds and the sandwiches have good flavor. The bread is just okay, nothing special but not bad. The meats are fine, they taste like standard deli meats that are steamed which releases some flavor. The amount of meat on the sandwiches though is a bit disappointing. Charging over $6 for a sandwich with maybe 2.5 to 3 ounces of meat is a lot. I think pretty much every other sub restaurant in town gives you more meat. For the price of Firehouse I can go to Publix or subway and get a sandwich with more flavor on bread that was freshly baked in store. Firehouse is something I may go to once in a while but it will not be on my frequented restaurant list.

They were quite busy late this afternoon when my friend and I went there for lunch after car shopping. Unfortunately they were very short staffed, having two people called in for the day. I have to commend the staff because despite the large number of people there and being shortstaffed, they maintain a positive attitude, a working together team effort, and they were upfront and apologetic to the customers. They did not make excuses they did the best they could and for that I give them five stars.

This is my main location for subs! I love firehouse, I go so much some of the team members know my name. Lol Food is fresh, as of 6/19 the current team they have are very good. Everyone working together to complete each order. It's not easy finding people who put 110% into making the customer satisfied, but they really do their best!
