I can't speak to the other reviews, but I'd say I had a great stay! I came in for a quick 2-day commercial, and loved the layout of my room. The blue was really pretty, and the room was super bright. My room was also very clean! I was welcomed with a bag (pictured) with waters and snack bars. There was also fruit available in the lobby. I don't know what the breakfast situation was, because I didn't take advantage of it. There weren't many people in the hotel, and the restaurant connected to it didn't seem to have options that appeased me, so I just Uber'd some food to me and called it a night. The staff were friendly to me! I typically don't allow cleaners to clean on such short stays, so I can't speak to how the cleaning crew did. My room was equipped with dishes, cleanware, the whole 9! There isn't much in the immediate vicinity, but it did what it needed to do for my trip.

We spent 12 days at Home2 Suites by Hilton after our home A/C went out during a brutal heat wave with a heat index of 113°. What could have been a stressful and exhausting time turned into a surprisingly pleasant experience thanks to the incredible staff and hospitality here. From the moment we checked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The entire team made us feel like part of their family. Every day started off right with their hot breakfast from 7am-10am--eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, and of course, fresh coffee. It was such a comfort to have that consistency and quality each morning. I especially want to highlight two staff members who went far above and beyond: * Jamar (Assistant Manager) - Outgoing, personable, and always ready to help. Whether the issue was big or small, Jamar made sure it was resolved quickly and with genuine care. He even took the time to talk with us like we were old friends catching up. Truly A+++ service. * Ronnie D (Maintenance) - Even on his busiest days, Ronnie always took a moment to say hello and chat. His kindness and positivity never went unnoticed. We've stayed at many hotels, but the way this staff treats their guests is unmatched. Because of this amazing experience, we will only be staying at this hotel in the future, and we'll be recommending it to all our family and friends. Thank you to everyone at Home2 Suites for your welcoming spirit, warm greetings, and for turning a tough situation into a memorable and heartwarming stay. You've truly earned our loyalty.

While we were trying the Players Grill, newer restaurant in the neighborhood adjacent to the hotel, someone stole our speaker out of our golf cart and left their trash for us to throw away. I inquired with the desk if they had cameras and told him what happened, he couldn't put his phone down long enough to care. We travel the neighborhood in our golf cart all the time, well, on the Avondale side of things, and have never had any incidents.

This place just opened after my wife and I moved out of the neighborhood to a different state, and we came back for a family emergency. I booked a room as a Hilton Diamond member, and while they didn't do the thing most Home2's do with the bottled water and snack at check-in, whatever, I don't really care about all that. The problem was how passive aggressive everyone was about having our two dogs with us--I've never had this experience at one of these places, especially ones that are avowedly pet friendly and take the $75 non-refundable pet fee up front. Shoving an ink-printed 'pet policy' in my face the morning I take the dogs out for a walk--which laughably still has all the Ipsom Lorem text from whatever Windows 95 template they used--just feels bad, especially when we followed everything on it. I guess they didn't want us to bring them through the lobby--I'm making that assumption, because they said basically nothing--but that's not even on the policy paper. If you want me to sign some sorry paper, do that at check-in. Especially after I've already paid the buck and agreed to whatever policy Hilton has in general. If you don't want pets, well, just make that the policy. It's not just pets though. No toothbrush or toothpaste, even to buy--which is truly remarkable. Snack bar is insanely overpriced, inflation accounted for. Breakfast offerings are weak and generally unappetizing. Staff works hard, obviously, and the place is pretty clean, even for a newer spot. But all in all, a tough hotel and one I wouldn't want to stay at again.

I arrived at 9 AM, well within the serving hours, but the scene looked like a post-apocalyptic food fight. Counters were smeared with unidentifiable sludge, food scraps decorated the floor, and nearly everything edible was gone. No waffle mix, no bread, no bagels--just crumbs left for the desperate. It was as though the staff had decided to starve the guests into submission. When I dared to ask if there were any breakfast items left, the employees exploded into a tirade about their management, like I'd pressed some rage-trigger button. One begrudgingly brought me scraps using the same filthy gloves they'd just been using to empty trash cans. Let me emphasize: trash can gloves. Serving food. The atmosphere wasn't just unpleasant--it was menacing. I felt like I was trapped in the middle of a workplace rebellion, with every glance from the staff making it clear my mere presence was unwelcome. My stomach churned at the thought of eating anything there, and I bolted back to my room, booked another hotel, and got out as fast as humanly possible. I am a loyal Hilton Diamond member with over a million points, but this experience has killed my faith in the brand. Most Hilton hotels in North America now treat their guests with a level of disdain that borders on contempt. This wasn't just bad service--it was a deeply unsettling experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Stay here at your own risk. Or better yet, don't. Ever.

CONTINUALLY NO CLEANING SERVICE AND SCRAPS FOR BREAKFAST OVER AN HOUR BEFORE IT CLOSES ALMOST FOUR DAYS INTO MY STAY. I've been asking daily for a cleaning. And nothing! I've been here almost 4 days and not one person has touched my room. I asked for at least a vacuum and NOTHING. Breakfast is very bare minimum. There's barely nothing left almost an hour before breakfast ends. And they don't have normal waffles. It's multigrain and cinnamon roll. Both are nasty. Oatmeal and grits are always hard and caked together. No fresh fruits or foods. The general manager is very nonchalant about the fact I haven't had any cleaning service in almost FOUR days and the rooms here can get pretty pricey. After a long day, I would've liked the service to be done when I asked, at least after day 2 or 3 of me continually asking. And STOP THE HUNGER GAMES STYLE BREAKFAST, leaving us overcooked and scraps of food.

This is not a suite! A partial, translucent curtain separating sleeping area from sofa area does not make it a suite. Hot water took at least 5 shivering minutes to arrive at the shower. Breakfast was slowly doled out by cranky staff. Coffee routinely ran out, with sullen staff slow to refill. Breakfast choices for vegetarians were oatmeal or waffles, no protein available. Disappointing place!
