Mixed feelings about this hotel. The hotel tries to be nice, and is generally well kept. The serious problems can be fixed by a trip to Walmart. The problems: The windows have a screw on attachment to prevent them being opened. This is presumably to prevent anyone getting in and stealing in case a guest unlatches the window. Normally, a hotel would have these screw on with a wing nut, so that they can be removed from the inside in case of fire. At this hotel, they screwed on each with a screw with a hex head. I asked at the desk to have mine removed, they told me maintenance was not working at that time and they don't keep tools on hand, so I went to Lowes (4 miles away) and bought a hex set. The 1/8 inch hex driver removed it. A window is legally required in each bedroom, and by bolting the windows so they can't be opened, the hotel made these rooms unsafe and likely illegal to use as bedrooms. Super dangerous, and if there were a serious fire here, people would die because of this dangerous disabling of guests' ability to open any window from the inside. I was on the 2nd floor, by the way, to where someone coming in the window seems like a stretch. The mattresses have no cover other than the one thin sheet. In this day and age, just about every hotel has a waterproof mattress cover. It saves hotels money, because in any kind of messy situation, the cover washes up and pop a clean one on with no downtime for the room. Dives have the waterproof cover. A waterproof cover has an additional feature of keeping dust from passing through. Used mattresses have on average something like 8 pounds of dead skin in them. I had brought my own pillows from home, with dust mite covers, but still, the first night, all night, my nose and eyes were burning from the dead skin, dust mites, and dust mite droppings from the barely covered mattress. My son had an asthma attack early after getting in bed, and had to do the nebulizer, and I moved him to the sofa bed (which has a waterproof mattress cover on it). You should bring your own dust mite cover to put on the mattress, and your own fitted sheet, because the sheets they put on the bed will have been fully in contact with the mattress full of dead skin and gotten skin and dust mites into that sheet. The sleeper sofa in the suite did have the waterproof cover, and moving my son there got him breathing OK that first night before I could fix things up. Anyway, bringing your own dust mite cover for the mattress will fix this problem. Positives: Really nice breakfast spread. I stayed with 4 kids, and there was something for everyone. Pastries; breakfast taco bar with corn tortillas, flour tortillas, scrambled eggs, chorizo, salsa, cheese, and sour cream; yogurt; cereal selection and milk. Also coffee and juice. Common areas were nice. They have a patio area with grills you can grill on. There is a pool and hot tub. The pool area has a restroom and shower. If you wanted to visit from out of town, and host anything like a small get together or birthday party cake, you probably could do it here, as far as having nice spaces (obviously phone calls and confirm first). Suite had a full kitchen. The refrigerator was the very smallest full sized. That was important, since we were hosting a birthday party for my niece, and needed to prep and store the cake. The kitchen area had dishes, silverware, and some steak knives. Kitchen has a dishwasher. And the hotel provides packets of dishwasher soap tabs. Room was basically clean. The absolute worst for a hotel is when rooms have that nasty smell that gets into everything and gets in your skin. This hotel is not like that. It's basically clean and kept. Some Hiltons have the social hours. This one has the social hours every Wednesday 5pm, with snacks and beer. Internet worked well.

Good hotel, the rooms were dated a bit and could use some updating. The pool was awesome and they let us stay a little longer than the closing time. The breakfast was great and the staff was friendly. The location seemed safe and was close to downtown and shopping.

Clean Hotel, the staff was very helpful and nice. The staff spoke every time we passed by. The also recommended places to go for dinner and to watch the World Series. Man UGA football fans along with UF football fans staying in the hotel. The parking lot was packed. The breakfast was a hit for me. I always love the breakfast at Hilton Hotels. I commend how courteous the hotel staff was . Only stayed one night but felt like family the way the staff treated all the guest. King bed suite

Let's start with the basic amenities that were promised but never delivered. Despite several requests, there was absolutely no room service available. I had to practically beg for clean towels, only to be told to leave my dirty ones and trash outside my door like some sort of budget motel. And even when I did manage to get fresh towels by walking down to the front desk, they were tainted with long strands of black hair, which is utterly unacceptable. The state of disrepair throughout the hotel was appalling. The front door was broken, and instead of fixing it promptly, the repair person was outside chain-smoking and complaining about the incompetence of the front desk manager, whom they referred to as an "idiot." Not exactly the professional atmosphere one would hope for. To make matters worse, there was a German Shepherd on the premises that was not only aggressive but also clearly lacked any semblance of control from its owner. I felt genuinely unsafe walking through the hallway with that unpredictable animal around. But wait, there's more! The carpet was a disaster, with lumps and bumps everywhere, posing a serious trip hazard. And don't even get me started on the paper-thin walls. I could hear every single word of my neighbor's conversation, making it impossible to get any rest. To add insult to injury, the front desk staff seemed utterly incompetent. Despite repeatedly assuring me that my concerns would be addressed, nothing ever changed. They promised to make notes about the room service issue, only to conveniently forget about it the next day when I called to follow up. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this establishment unless you enjoy subpar service, shoddy accommodations, and a general feeling of frustration and disappointment. Several people complained to management and she just stated "we will be doing renovations".

Traveled to Homewood Suites Jacksonville Florida. My visiting days were from Thursday, May 23rd 2024- Monday, May 27th 2024. The room was dirty, the carpet smelled and was ripped up. The shower door did not close completely and water just came onto the floor when showering. This room should not have been rented to anyone. I accidentally left my iPhone charger in the room. It was stolen and no claimed to have seen it. Homewood Suites should top taking consumer's money. We tried to change rooms but nothing was available due there being a Jazz fest THERE that weekend so we stuck it out. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. I only gave it two stars because the staff was nice. Otherwise it deserves only one star.

Every stay here has been above expectations. This current stay is due to Apt water damage. The same staff is here. Including Mgmt when I first moved to JAX Jun,2016. The front desk is magnificent. Eager to help. And, very efficient. Wether it's Day, Evening/Night Desk Staff, Mgmt here have a magnificent crew. They Provide a Full Hot breakfast. And, Hot Dinner. Including Soup, Salad Bar, or Specialty Salads. A Menu is provided posted on your Full Size Refrigerator Freezer w/ Ice make in your Room. Still, there are Ice Machines in the Halls. A fully equipped Gym. And, Laundry facility or Dry cleaning/laundry pick-up available, (Enquire w/Desk). Yes, China and Silverware. On rare occasions they will have to supplement with disposable dinnerware. They still keep it in good taste. Providing black disposable plates After a very large crowd is passing through. But, these ladies keep replacing the Hot Food as soon as it looks like it's going quickly. They still keep it in good taste. Providing black disposable plates No dried up looking food in the Hot Chaffing Dishes. It's Happy Hour Monday-Thursday. Complimentary White or Red Wine. Other non-alcohol Beverages provided. Fresh coffee/Tea, including Herbal. Full Bar Service. Provided everyday in the evening. Seven days a wk. may want to ck if opened on Legal Holidays(Bar:-) Emily makes an Awesome Butt Kicking Margarita. Last time I had one just like it was in Coronado San Diego, CA. Woooo:-! They host Company Group Stays. * You may Enquire. If you have to Reserve for a Group Stay. Wether, it's a Family Reunion, Business or Vacationing. Temporary stay due to relocation. ***This is AN EXCELLENT CHOICE. And, location, Shops, restaurants across the Street. Including, Publix. Nail and Hair Salons. Explore The Town Center an Outdoor Mall. With stores to please, just about anyone. Treat your taste buds to an adventure. From the Endless Choices of Restaurants, Craft Beers, Confections and Frozen Treats. Movie Theater and Games across Southside. Aprox five min away. Great Chinesse Food (Delivery). If you'd like a relaxing quiet Evening. May want to Catch a Movie on HBO/Show. A clean and very well maintained Pool with lounger sitting available. Not to forget, tables to have an outdoor lunch. Excellent sitting area with a Fire Pit. Sounded by attractive, cushioned outdoor furniture. This week a group celebrated a birthday. By cooking ribs, chicken and sausages( Yum). On one of the two Stainless Steel Gas Grills. That are provided. Kept clean and very well maintained. It's difficult to make it back to your room or suite. Since, you meet the friendliest people here. Must not forget the young ladies taking care of the Bar and the guests. Ready to assist the kitchen staff. They work as a Team. And that is a good sign. When it comes to smooth operations in the Service Industry. My most Sincere thanks. They offer. Studio Rooms with a kitchenette very well equipped . Flat Stove, full side refrigerator, dishwasher. Glassware,Plates, even a toaster, Lrg. Microwave,(No reg Baking Oven) . I personally am totally ok w/ that. Yes, pots and pans. If you must use those. I am in a very comfortable Suite. One bdrm w/ king size bed. Nice tub/Shower bath. Having a separate living Rm is a plus. 2 Flat Screen TVs. "" NO LOUD UNCOMFORTABLE WINDOW A/C UNIT"" Central Air. This one works Magnificent. Amen:-) Clean, just a couple of miles from the Disaster Of Poor Excuse for Apt I am contending with Now. With Wood Rot. Became a Health Problem. I am big on loyalty. Boom. Love me some Homewood suites. This one is no exception! We checked in for Welcome to Rockville. You'd think people were over seeing a bunch of rockers ready to party for 3 days but that was the complete opposite. Every single front desk employee was awesome! Asking about our day. If we're exhausted or not. After 12 hours of walking and rocking, we were pleased to see they had a pool and a hot tub. Both times we went we didn't have towels there but I'm not even dinging a star because I just went up to the lobby and asked and they squared us away. The rooms as always with Homewood, were super comfortable. Nice big cozy bed. Nice little kitchenette. Nice living room area and bathroom. Location is groovy too. 10-15 mins to the stadium. Right next to a Publix and a CVS along with some places to grab a bite. For the price. For the location. For the staff, I really enjoyed my stay!

Do not stay here. It smells, dirty, has a roach problem. No place to hang your clothes just a shelf with some brackets underneath. No utensils, stain on the floor, stain on the wall, dishwasher door won't close well and last guest left a load full of dirty dishes in it. Staff refused to clean it and said at some point they will bring utensils up butUnfortunately kids had to wait for dinner. Ran late to our events. Handicap accessible room with roll in shower was given away to someone else after we booked it months ago. Was given a tub and told there's nothing they can do. So could not take a shower for a few days. The hallway stinks and the room smells worse when you walk in. Unfortunately everything was booked and could not find another hotel close enough to the event. Does not deserve the 3 or 3.5 stars that it's given. Horrible excuse as a Hilton facility

The reviews in my opinion, do not at all accurately reflect the quality of this hotel. I checked in and was sorely disappointed to find the rooms were quite shabby. The toilet seat didn't fit. I don't even know what they were using for a door handle on the bathroom door - it isn't like anything I've ever seen. And they definitely went cheap on the materials for the kitchen. Customer service in my experience was terrible. I wasn't able to get a receipt, and was basically treated like crap by the hotel staff when I asked for it. The girl was really very rude.
