Friday night movie and music was exceptional. Fun event with talented musicians. Encouragement from the conductor to be present with our reactions. Great way to introduce my son to live music at this caliber. Great event. With the screen, our seats were perfect - back orchestra.

A place for amazing shows. They have booths for snacks and drinks where you can tip. You buy tickets for shows. Ambiance is always different depending on show. Service is fantastic always. We love to come to shows

Nice theatre right in the beautiful riverside area. They host many Broadway plays and we will be back in January for Mamma Mia!

This was my first performance to see the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra and did NOT disappoint! We attended their Holiday Pops concert. I loved the fact that their coffee series lasted one hour and five minutes. Enough time to keep my kiddo entertained, but not too long where he loses interest. The conductor was personable, lovely, and played a wonderful trumpet. The singers were amazing, especially the young gentleman, Campbell, who did his rendition of Mary Did you Know, which was touching and just beautiful. The list of songs were delightful and loved the balance between instrumental and singing.

I attended a Major/Minor concert here last night. This is where high school students or "The Musicians of the JSYO" play with members of the Jacksonville Symphony. Honestly, I was dragged there while saying to my wife that the Yankee game was on, and I wanted to watch that....... The last concert I saw was Alice Cooper like 20 years ago. The orchestra isn't my thing, but I really enjoined this show. Both the professionals and the kids (they were very professional, too) played great. The music was entertaining, and you could tell the kids really took this seriously and practiced hard. I'm only reviewing the venue and the adults. The concert hall is very nice and the acoustics are outstanding. What I saw and heard from the Jacksonville Symphony, I would go see them again. Even if the Yankees were playing. If you've never seen a show here, do yourself a favor and try something new.

For an amazing evening you must not pass up an opportunity to attend a concert at the Jacksonville symphony. The orchestra is top notch. Not a bad seat in the house. A variety of seat choices and pricing to meet most folks level. Try it you will not regret it.

Any major city has a symphony and Jacksonville is no different in that area; we have a great symphony ( it appears about 60 musicians)! I believe they try very hard to attract all types of people like with their Pop Series, where they have performers who present music more current then Gershwin and Beethoven (not that they don't play them but they are in diff series then the Pop series). This tribute performer, Michael Cavanaugh, has performed with Billy Joel music all over the world and was actually chose by Billy Joel to perform with him in a Broadway Musical called Movin' On. It appeared to be be a sold out event and the crowd was certainly happy!

I have a new found respect for the JSO. I'd never heard them play live but when they announced that they would be doing Motown songs AND right before Mother's Day I had to bring my mother to see them, HAD TO! Hearing them live in the Jacoby Hall was simply magical and watching my mother and others of her generation getting up and dancing like they're teenagers again made me so happy. Also, I got a real kick out of watching some of the musicians having fun during the performance as well. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house but we were seated in the fourth row in the middle and you can just close your eyes, listen, and have your soul soothed.

The orchestra, chorus, and talent they bring in never disappoints. We are enjoying Rodger's & Hammerstein Celebration this evening. every seat is terrific and the acoustics are wonderful.

My girlfriend and I went to see the Jax Symphony a couple weeks ago and we were just amazed by their great performance. We were both music majors and really enjoy listening to some high quality performances. It was their annual free event where they showcase what different styles they can perform and will be performing for this coming season. There was some pop music, classical, show tunes, and a little movie magic. All of it really showed off their incredible musicians' talents. We started looking at their upcoming schedule to see what else we can get in on. Really recommend going!
