So I travel light and $50 bucks a night this place is great. The bathroom is clean, the room was comfortable, the bed was OK. This is a motel and you felt like you were at a motel. If you're looking for something a little nicer, maybe go try the Hampton Inn or if you're bougie, then go stay at a more expensive place. In regards to previous reviews, mentioning rude, housekeeping, staff, I didn't notice because I wasn't in the room except to sleep. And regarding theft, I had nothing to steal because I traveled light. This motel served its purpose for me. I would recommend if that is the same thing you're looking for.

It's a motel. Nothing fancy whatsoever, I've definitely been to nicer motels. It's right across the street from a Walmart. Our room is missing the door latch, our soap dispenser was either broken or out of soap, and there were a few tiny bugs roaming around. Honestly, none of that bothered us, if there was an option to give half starts I'd give a 2.5

The motel is infested with roaches.spiders,and holes in the bathroom.They like to blame the guest for the pest infestation.but they should have fumigated the motel before it becomes open to the public.That is disgusting to expose the guest to those roaches and spiders.

I booked my 11 night stay through AARP/Expedia to keep costs low while visiting family in Jacksonville. The motel is not fancy & the bed was not the most comfortable, but due to chronic back pain/issies, NO motel bed is ever comfortable for me, so I will not criticize the beds here. I found all the staff to be very nice & every day the housekeeping staff stopped by to ask if I needed towels, trash removed, etc., or if I was gone when they stopped they made the bed & left clean towels, etc. The shower water pressure & temp were fine. I had a room with a microwave & fridge to buy/cook food while there & with a Walmart directly across the road, it was convenient to purchase snacks, soup, fruit, etc. One thing for the motel to consider is providing mini coffee makers because I like to drink coffee all day long. I ended up purchasing a small Keurig that I used every day & then gave to my family when my stay was done. I felt safe; other motel guests were not noisy or bothersome at all. The motel rooms are brightly lit from the outside, adding to my sense of security since I was traveling alone. I highly recommend this motel for the courteous staff, low rates & room size & sense of safety. I noticed when I checked in that the front desk has several monitoring/camera systems for each side of the building, including a great view of every room & the parking lot as added security. I saw only one large palmetto bug (cockroach) outside my room that I easily killed & never saw another one during my entire stay. if you're seeking an inexpensive motel that provides the necessities, I recommend The Midtown Lodge. I will stay here again when I return to visit family.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone unless you wanna be watched 24 7 like you a criminal and none of them communicates and my biggest problem was the housekeeper guy who cleans the 200 building is very rude and don't know how to talk to a woman he yells when he's talking to you and they knock on your door like the FBI agent I'm like damn I couldn't have one day there of relaxation cause they wanna come in and clean bathroom I had my own cleaning supplies and kept it clean and I watch one of the housekeepers come in wipe down a toilet seat which was already cleaned and then walks out didn't even bother to clean the dusty fan in bathroom. That housekeeper guy got lucky my husband was at work when he talked his shit to me and by the way maybe that's the way you talk to your woman in your country this is America we don't allow our man to disrespect us so go somewhere else with that.the housekeeper guy also doesn't change his cloves he keeps them same gloves from room to room cross contamination and they clean every room with that same mop and mop water that's just grossed.

i will not give this place a positive rating because while staying in this lodge i was disturbed on a daily basis by their housekeepers while there. i was ill and in severe pain and just needed quiet andvto be left alone. i also had personal property stolen from my room on a consistent basis daily whenever i had to the my rented room for appointments. bottles of water i had purchased and placed in the refrigerator, portable air pump $59.99, sparkling water $16.99 several containers, food items for my personal consumption $30.00, medications $45.00, other personal property $150.00, for anyone considering staying in any of these so called economically priced mon and pop or family operated out of the way so called economically pricedbplacesplease beware!! you will lose in so many other ways including other charges to your credit/debit cards you may not know immediatedly about to contest withbthis place. i have found this to be so with any and all of these so called economically priced places to stay. please do not stay at these places or you will pay dearly in the long run. stay away from these places. i have found this to be so especially here inbthe jacksonville, florida area throughout. this city so called economically priced places to lodge is a sham. yuou end up losing more than you bargained for in the end and anyone i can help this notbto happen to is worth this with my honest and truthful information. a word to the wise.
