I sat at the bar called Tavern just off to the side of Shor the restaurant. Rachel was PHENOMENAL! Her customer service and LEMON DROPS WERE SPOT ON! This was for lunch. I came down for another lemon drop and a lady named Allison was there. Although she said she trained Rachel, I guess she was intimidated by the compliments I gave to Rachel and her Lemon Drop. So she suggested I get my second choice of Prosecco. To me that's POOR customer service. At least TRY! I'm not hard to please AT ALL. on my way out, the MOD asked how my second round went. I advised of the above and he says, Oh ok. Have a good night!" Talking about TONE DEAF!? Otherwise the Cajun Salmon is SPOT ON! If ever in the area, please stop in and let me know your thoughts.

Went in for a quick dinner. Considering the place was pretty quiet and not many patrons, the service and food came out a bit slow. I ordered the Purple rice and quinoa bowl and added jumbo shrimp as my protein. The shrimp weren't as large as I had hoped and I just realized that the bowl was missing roasted heirloom tomatoes, as stated on the menu. I needed to add hot sauce to add flavor. I'm glad the restaurant was clean and tidy.

The food was great. My sister had the short rin and it was yummy. Very tender. The fried green tomatoes were on point. The mix of the Boursin cheese and arugula was a great combination. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. It's very cool to be able to leave your hotel room and go to a nice place like this right in the lobby. Very nice place. Would def come back.

After a long conference in the Jacksonville Hyatt Regency, we settled in for a relaxing dinner at Shor Seafood Grill -- the Tavern is a bar next door, the Grill is the sit-down half of the restaurant, and the menus are only slightly different. After grazing lazily on a Florida Greens salad (rocket, grapefruit, avocado, almonds), we ordered the linguini pescatore (deep, meaty scallops, fish, shrimp and mussels over a large bed of linguine in red sauce) and a dish of linguine alfredo with spiced shrimp. Both dishes were more than enough to satisfy our hunger, and we barely finished them off. Nice to sit and laze the afternoon away, watching the hotel denizens scramble to catch their flights. If you're in Jacksonville, I'd say it's worth it to visit Shor, no matter where you're staying.

We were in town to see a comedy show, and my husband was nice enough to make a reservation at the hotel. This restaurant is one of the restaurants in the hotel lobby of the Hyatt Regency. It was very convenient to have dinner here before the show, and the menu looked pretty good. It is very spacious with a lot of table and booth seating. We were offered both by the hostess and decided on a booth. They have appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrees. We started with a crab dip appetizer. It was hot and tasty. For entrees, we had the salmon special and the linguine pescatore. Both dishes were very plentiful. The linguine dish had shrimp, scallops, muscles, clams, and Mahi fish. The salmon dish came on a bed of spinach and mashed potatoes, with an Alfredo sauce. Service was good.

Staying at the Hyatt while attending a convention. I decided to have dinner here Friday night before getting my evening started. For an appetizer I decided on a cup of the soup of the day (potato & beef). It was seasoned very well, I loved the thick cuts of potato. For my entree I chose the Cajun salmon. This dish comes with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The asparagus was as expected. The mashed potatoes were lukewarm. The salmon was good. There was very little seasoning, let alone spice to the dish so I'm not sure what aspect made it 'Cajun' but the creamy butter sauce it was lathered in was tasty and made the dish go from bland to bearable. Customer service was lacking. It was a busy night but our waiter was as inattentive as possible. So much so that after we'd finished our meal, had our tables cleared and had been sitting what felt like FOREVER for the check, he finally returns and asks "your food hasn't come yet?" Completely oblivious! This same waiter had two other tables complain about his service just within the span of time we were dining. Safe to say, I won't be back here for the remainder of our stay.

Decided to dine here and take advantage of their happy hour specials. There are certain appetizers and drinks you can choose from. I decided on the roasted Brussel sprouts and the warm soft pretzel with beer cheese. For my drink I ordered a regular old fashioned. Service was good granted they were super busy due to the several conventions being held at the hotel. Food came out fairly quick but what I found odd was that I had to wait for the cheese portion of the pretzel appetizer. I personally wouldn't order this dish again. The pretzels turn pretty hard once they begin to cool down. The cheese was lukewarm at best. The star were the Brussel sprouts. They are roasted and served with grated Parmesan, fried pork belly and a some sort of a mustard sauce. They were good! The old fashioned was delish! A bit on the sweeter side and very strong! I couldn't finish it because I knew I had another event to attend and didn't want to be passed out! Lol! If you're looking for a quick small bite to eat in a comfortable setting then you should try them out.

It's a hotel restaurant, what can you expect? For that category I guess it's good. And with downtown Jacksonville being the Monday-Friday 7-3 place it is, this was at times the only viable option. Mayport Shrimp Boil seemed like my only opportunity to have Mayport Shrimp. The shrimp were nothing special and didn't seem that fresh. This time of year, the corn cobs were obviously frozen. But the potatoes and andouille were cooked perfectly, at least. Broth was tasty but very salty. Gumbo was ok if you think of it as a Florida-style stew rather than as anything Cajun, but I wouldn't have it again. Brussels sprouts were appropriately caramelized, but the sauce was so creamy that it I had some trouble getting it down.

Ordered Cajun salmon from here. The plate is of decent size except I felt the Cajun sauce is kinda mild. Salmon was grilled fantastic.
