Super underrated spot in Miami. Beautiful and super calm, nice to take a walk or lay down and chill… I wouldn’t really swim there as an adult but it’s perfect for kids since it’s shallow. I put 5 stars because I just wanted a calm spot to walk and chill at however: you can’t grill, no games (no volleyball, frisbee, anything that can be thrown… you can bike and ride a scooter though), no glass and it’s not really a beach to swim at. No pets either.

Parking is a flat rate of 7$ which I think is amazing, plenty of parking space. Clean bathrooms, showers and changing room. What more could one want!

This is one of the most beautiful public parks in Miami.  Palm trees everywhere and I saw the lagoon with the line of Palm trees surrounded and I have seen the pictures on the internet all the time.  There is a nice restaurant with nice music.  There was a wedding on the beach.  Happy place in Miami.  Miami is beautiful

It's a really nice clean swimming area. Keep in mind the ground when swimming is not like the beach, it is sort of slimy so we brought water shoes. The last week of October 2024, some of the roads were flooded, but it wasn't an issue in my Honda CRV. There are lots of mangroves when driving into the park, so the smell of stagnant water is sort of harsh, but once in the swimming/atoll pool area, there is no bad smell. I came for a beach clean up with my daughter, and we found some foam cups, a toothbrush, and other random items. That being said, it was much cleaner than beach cleanups we've done in Las Olas, South Beach, Miami Beach, and Biscayne Bay. We saw at least 4 different groups taking everything from family photoshoots to pregnancy photos. The swimming area has several lifeguards on duty and a restaurant on property into a historic coral building. If you sign up for texts with the restaurant, you can snag a free dessert or glass of wine. Overall, I'd come back for the nice scenery and the relaxing alternative to South Florida's crowded beaches. Parking is pay by phone. There are plenty of picnic tables around the beach area and kayak rentals within the park.

Lovely park with a view of the Miami skyline and Key Biscayne in the distance.  Lagoon with a nice small beach . Kayak and kite rentals. Boat marina and slip. Noma Beach at Redfish restaurant with romantic outdoor seating. Indoor tables as well. Different hours of operation during summer season.

Great park!

You CANNOT grill at the private beach area. But you can grill at the entrance of the park because you enter the crossing gate thingy.

I recommend you grill at the beginning and pack up the food tobring to the beach area after. Or sacrifice a few of your people to cooking duty before going back to the main beach area.

Fun place to bike as well. Bike path is right there that leads into the city for biking.
