I have never experienced such an incredible personal and hospitality approach than I did at the Carillon. Alex leads his management team to excellence providing us with a home feeling, first class treatment from the moment we checked in until the moment we left.

Day pass experience:
Their marketing strategy involves displaying pictures of an attractive and spacious swimming pool, which you cannot access with a day pass since it is exclusively for their guest rooms.
When you express dissatisfaction with what they call a 'manager', she laughed in your face while having zero knowledge of customer service or good marketing practices. You cannot charge what you are charging and use pictures that do not correspond to what you will receive.
With a day pass, you can go to a small swimming pool where kids are screaming and running around. It's unappealing and not comparable to the picture they use. The spa it's not worth it at all.  If you're looking to waste both your vacation and money, this is the perfect option! The hotel's only positive attribute is their nice staff, but the rest is a scam!

Reviewing the spa & facilities. Booked a Groupon for a massage and use of the facilities for a day trip. The sports massage was nice & helped with some muscle soreness. The facilities are just ok. I would have been disappointed if we had paid full price vs the Groupon, as some of the features were not working and it could have been cleaner. However, the private beach access with full service was wonderful.

Nice enough hotel and people were generally nice, although many random things weren’t right or didn’t work properly. Internet service was almost entirely unusable for the whole stay. Restaurant was closed Monday/Tuesday. Random stuff in the room wasn’t working, no hand soap, etc. Took over 24 hours to get a delivery actually to me.

This is not a wellness resort. Beware the 'wellness' services especially OYA services - this is a complete rip off and the hotel takes no responsibility for it (see description below). For over $4500 for 3 night stay, I am appalled at the experience and would recommend going to any other 5 star resort in the same area because the beach is beautiful.

Pros of the resort:
- beachfront, beautiful beach

Meh:
- rooms are updated but fine (questionable if worth $4500+ for three nights)

Cons:
- food is double the price of eating at an outside restaurant, and isn't good. We paid over $100 for a Caesar salad, fruit bowl and coconut water.
- service at the restaurants was lacking, they forgot to bring us a plate to eat the meal they served, forgot the water we ordered, food took a long time to arrive (+45 min from ordering)
- wellness services are questionable: specifically referring to OYA health but brings into question hotel's practices and customer service as they have ignored our concerns. The description of services you see on the website aren't what you're going to get.

OYA experience:
For $699 you get:
- to sit in a dingy, small room with cloth banners taped to the wall and a blinding overhead light
- the practitioner asks you a bunch of medical, physiological and physiological questions (answers are scribbled on a piece of paper) and then you are given a set of basic headphones
- if you google biofeedback, you'll see on reputable sites like Mayo Clinic that there is usually a sensor pad placed on you to read your body...nothing is placed on you...just headphones!
- the 'scan' then starts and the practitioner plays zen music on their phone and tell you to breath etc.
- (halfway through my session the practitioner took a phone call with IT totally throwing me out of my 'zen')
- you lay there for almost 90 minutes (I was freezing and had to go to the bathroom) and the practitioner clicks away at the computer screen
- THAT'S IT

Two days later you get a three page templates report that doesn't provide any real detail and is full of spelling mistakes - questioning its credibility. You are then invited to have a 30-min phone call with, who knows?, to discuss your results.

Does this seem worth $699 to anyone? Quick online search shows the biofeedback sessions range from $35-85 per session.

OYA is a scam and Carillion Hotel is supporting its customers getting scammed.
