I had a taste for brisket, so hubby and I tried Sweet Auburn. Nice setup.However, I like my food HOT, but the brisket was cold and the macaroni was lukewarm. I did not tell the bartender about it. BUT, when the chef forgot to add poached eggs with hubby's steak bowl, we had to say something.  The chef also forgot to put poached eggs on the guy's hash bowl who sat next to us. It took 20+ minutes for the chef to make poached eggs because the tool broke and he had to do it manually. The manager should have offered us a discount, but he did not. Probably will not be back, even though the food tasted good.

For starters, the service was great. All the barbecue sauces were tasty, including the new Asian one they're testing and the spicy one that you can request. The jalapeño cornbread had good flavor, but was too dry. The fries were crispy and the sweet potato fries were good as well.

The baby back ribs were very tender and were truly fall-off-the-bone. I liked the inclusion of the green onions on top; even if just for garnish, they added a bit of extra flavor. The pulled pork was also very tender and the mac was solid. The chocolate cake was soft, perfectly sweet, and you get a sizable slice. The food was on the pricier side, but barbecue usually is, so that's not a major knock against this place.

I love this place and I am vegetarian! They have a tofu plate and it is yummy with some green beans, corn bread, or Mac and cheese.
My husband has had BBQ everywhere and he says they have the most tender smoked meats and best sauces around. They also have pecan pie or bread pudding which are both very southern-style and authentic.
The inside is super cute with lots of warm wood touches and cool art. The bar tender was friendly and easy to talk to. Everyone was super friendly and seemed to be happy working there. The drinks are always well balanced and also unique. The house wine is not just some cheap stuff, it’s actually high quality and pairs well with the BBQ. The only downside is that it is not a huge dining room so it can get busy at times. They take reservations so that helps. Parking is in the deck across the street for free or pay at the lot. I have had their food take-out style as well and found that it traveled well and wasn’t just tossed in a box but arranged thoughtfully so the sauce would not spill in the car.
I have been back a few times and each time my experience is consistently awesome. I can be picky because I worked in the restaurant industry for ten years. I will be back!

We had dinner here on a Sunday a few weeks back. The service from Adam was exceptional. I was pretty disappointed with the food, though. We shared a three meat platter and none of the meats were warm enough. The flavor was good, but I’m not sure why the meat was all room temperature.

Just received my Uber Eats order from Sweet Auburn barbecue. I usually don’t do this, but I’m posting a review today because I’m just disgusted with the lack of value reflected in this meal. I paid $6 extra dollars for what looks like 2 tablespoons of extra Korean spiced meat. I paid two dollars for what looks like one tablespoon of coleslaw. I just want to say shame on you Auburn barbecue for treating your customers like this. To top it off you left the fries out of my meal. Do better!!!
