Just finished another great fundraiser with Kala Kokua Fundraising. We raised over $21,000 through both product sales and direct donations. Our School has been working with Rod and his team for a few years now, and let me tell you, they do an excellent job supporting and helping their clients get the most from their fundraiser. Our school worked very closely with Rod and are very pleased with everything that he does for us and our school. He goes above and beyond what is expected to help us raise as much money as possible. From bringing samples for us to try, bring his crew to come help and product pick up, even coming personally to deliver extras, Rod makes sure you are 100% satisfied with their product and service. Working with Rod and his crew at Kala Kokua over the past few years has allowed our Halau, Halau Na Mamo O Pu'uanahulu, Na Kumu Hula Sonny Ching and Lopaka Igarta Devera, to raise THOUSANDS of dollars to kokua our haumana to get to Hilo for Merrie Monarch, an endeavor costing our dancers thousands of dollars each to get to the stage of the Edith Kanakaole Stadium, and the Olympics of Hula. Kala Kokua offers a variety of products that are SO easy to sell, in fact they sell themselves with little effort. We have dancers that have paid their ENTIRE invoice by selling Kala Kokua products, and some that just want to raise enough to pay for their spending money. You decide what level of commitment you put into your fundraiser and the Kala Kokua team are there 150% to help you achieve your goals. As a former Merrie Monarch dancer, now a supporter of the Halau, getting our dancers to Hilo every year for MM is a task I take very seriously every year. We have been fundraising their local kine products for many years. They go above and beyond to help you through the process, especially this year, our fundraising event was completely online. The process was easy and we were amazed the distribution of the product was just as easy. They make sure we are comfortable at every step of the process. For many years now I have been involved with many local fundraisers as a PTO President, Cubmaster & Scoutmaster, active parishioner at church and as a member of Lions Club International where 'fundraising' is an on-going must. Over the years we have tried selling chili, beef sticks, restaurant/store gift cards, garage sales, car washes, cooking fried rice and chicken, etc. I have also personally worked with Rod Suzumoto and the entire Kala Kokua Fundraising Ohana for many years and we have always gotten great success with their products. Our Boy Scout Troop starting selling Kala Kokua products back in 2011 to help purchase new troop camping equipment and for the scouts that needed assistance for their mainland summer camp adventure in New Mexico in 2012. Till this day, our troop still sells Kala Kokua products. When members of our Youth Ministry planned on attending the National Catholic Youth Congress (NCYC), we used Kala Kokua Fundraising in 2012 & 2013 to get our youths to Indianapolis in November 2013. Our parish used them again to get our youths to the 2015 NCYC. Our Lions Club also sold Kala Kokua products to help with our club's 75th Charter Anniversary Festivities in 2014 and for our Admin Fundraisers.
