Absolutely wonderful experience! We have worked with The Catering Connection in the past two years for an annual UHM event. Sherese and her team are fantastic. Our group loved the mix of classic and locally inspired pupu. Example: Brie cheese Mac nut wonton with tropical marmalde, caprese skewers with balsamic drizzle, kalbi with kimchee aioli - so, so ono! The mini cheesecake bites were truly eye candy and super-tasty. My colleagues all wanted to know how we found this gem of a catering service. Last year, our budget was so limited that we had almost given up on finding a catering service that would work with us. Not The Catering Connection. They helped us have a spread of six different appetizers, all beautifully presented, delicious, and creative with our limited resources. If you want to support a local family business with your event, don't look any further. This place is professional, service-oriented, and genuinely nice. You will be in the best hands with Sherese and her team!

Whatever your event, you need to use this company! We used them for our wedding yesterday! Great family-owned and operated business who took extra good care of all of our details! Besides the food catering, they arranged the tent, table and chair rentals. Such friendly service and high-end professionalism. We even had a slight problem that couldn't be remedied so they discounted their services to help us out! I would use them again in a heartbeat! I had the very fortunate opportunity of attending an event catered by the catering connection. Not only was the food amazing, the mixed drinks were delish and the waitstaff was exceptional. The event I attended was at Waioli tea room in Manoa. Waioli tea room is not an easy place to set up for an event because it is literally a house. However, tcc did a great job of spreading the food out in a way that wasn't awkward and there was never a line for food. Pupus included cheese wontons with super delicious fruit chutney, one of the best crispy gau gee I've ever had, chicken skewers and sliced beef bites atop crackers spread with horseradish aioli and sautéed onions. As if that wasn't enough, dinner consisted of Caesar salad, spinach salad, fried rice, fish, pork and a carving station. For dessert, we had freshly made malasadas, shave ice, bread pudding and fresh fruit cocktail. Soooo yum! Waioli tea room can't host events with alcohol, but that didn't stop TCC. They made custom non alcoholic beverages and floats. Everything was just so delicious, both the food and the drinks! I can't even imagine how great their alcoholic cocktails must taste. The cherry on the cake was definitely the friendly and attentive waitstaff. Someone was always there to offer me a beverage, take my empty plates. Every person on the staff seemed to want to be there and enjoy what they were doing. They executed their responsibilities efficiently and with smiles on their faces. I can't say enough about how amazed I was with my experience at this event by TCC. I can't wait to plan my life events to include everything they have to offer :)

Much love goes out to everyone of Catering Connection who helped with ALL of our wedding celebrations last month in Honolulu!!! :D From proposals all the way through to partying hard at the end of the wedding night, CC and their amazing staff brought their 'A game' and made our entire wedding experience pure bliss!!! Lei is the best!!! She was so attentive to my every need and want during the planning stages. She would respond to my emails and phone calls with the utmost promptness, and always had answers for all my questions (as ridiculous as some of them may have been!) She helped me pinpoint what I was envisioning, and in the end, delivered exactly that, and then some!!! She made sure all the details were taken care of. Things I would have never even thought of!! She also really helped me budget my expenses too, which my husband and I (and our bank account) cannot thank her enough for. All her recommendations were solid and we completely trust her opinion. The gal knows what she is talking about!!!! I honestly didn't have to worry about a thing, just get on my makeup, do my hair, get into my dress, and walk down the aisle... without fainting!!!! Hahaha, they took care of the rest!!! The whole night, they were so accommodating to my husband and I, always making sure I had a drink in my hand (that's what I'm talkin' about!! hehe), appetizers in my mouth, dinner servings on my plate, and seconds and thirds of our wedding cake. :P They made it SO EASY for us to simply enjoy ourselves, and enjoy our time with our friends and family. Set up to break down, everyone was so professional, so nice, accommodating, friendly, attentive, and PERFECT!! We love you guys!! I also really appreciated that the company owner Bruce took the time out of his busy schedule to be at our ceremony to greet me!! Your customer service is one of a kind ;) Thank you. Our family also inadvertently hired Catering Connection for a family get together at our Uncle's house in Diamond Head a few days before the wedding. So funny to come over and see the same folks that were going to be helping us at the wedding!! I was EXTRA excited for our big day, because we got to 'sample' their goods at the party, and everything was soooooo yummy!! They offer such a wide selection of different types of food, that we didn't have any duplicate items at the party or the wedding! We couldn't have done it without the help, professionalism and experience of Catering Connection. Thank you guys soo, sooo much. My husband and I give them the highest accolades for their work, and we can't thank them enough for all they did for us!!!!

This review is based on customer service and timely responses. I was tasked to set up a last-minute intimate function and have called multiple catering companies. Majority (if not all of them) of the catering companies I contacted did not respond or gave me the run-around. When I called The Catering Connection, Sherese (Leong) answered the phone. I let her know of my situation and what I needed. She stated she would check with which chef would be available and call me back by 12pm. As promised, she responded quickly with the information I needed. I called her and provided the choices for the menu items. She was patient with me and went over what else was needed for the event. She was even willing to meet me on-site to solidify layout and what else we could use. Unfortunately, our meeting was changed and we no longer needed to use their service. I really appreciated Sherese's quick response and willingness to work with me and my million questions. She really helped ease the anxiety of planning the event. I'm sure we may have an event we would need catering services and I will definitely think of The Catering Connections first!

Event: Wedding Breakfast Date: Friday, June 20th 2014 WOOOW!! The Catering Connection was AMAZING in all aspects of dealing with them! From their QUICK replies & follow ups...to their super ONOlicious food! They worked with our budget & even helped create a breakfast menu for us even though they don't normally cater breakfast events. My family also caters for a living and they are definitely a TOUGH crowd to please when we don't use them...but they absolutely LOVEd the food! They even agreed that we should definitely use The Catering Connection for future events. It wasn't just my tough-family who enjoyed the food, but literally every guest complimented & raved about it as well. The portions were generous too! Enough for everyone to make several trips through the buffet AND even eat more for lunch too! Definitely a PLUS for us local eaters! Hahaha... Sean was also a great help as well...not only did he setup the buffet, but he even helped us set the tables for the guest as well! Wow! Talk about above & beyond!!! We LOVE The Catering Connection & have no issue recommending them or using them in the future :-)

I had the catering connection cater to my destination wedding on March 26,2016. My husband and I are from Las Vegas and decided to have our wedding on North Shore, HI. The whole process of booking, planning, menu planning and day of event was beyond more then i can ever ask for. We hired the catering connection for the whole shaabang. food, service,chairs and tables.They were GREAT! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYONE!!!! We had about 73 people at our wedding which is above average for a destination wedding. A blessing to us which meant we had to adjust our budget a little. The catering connection helped us stay within budget without any judgment. Sarah *Sweetest girl youll ever talk to* advised and help me stay stress free every step of the way. Planning a wedding from another state was hard but with how organize the catering connection was they got the work done. Sarah really knows how to keep her clients at ease. We had chef Grants food menu and the feedback from our guest was all positive remarks. I was actually really nervous about this because my husband and I are from a traditional Vietnamese background. We all know how picky elders can be, so we are crossing our fingers the whole time. We chose foods that were relatively close to what they were use to, fish, rice, Asian pear salad and a few other meats. During dinner we got all positive feeds backs, the prime rib was moist and flavorful, the chicken was also moist, the rice and grilled veggies were nice and warm. Everything was just amazing, even a little surprise for the kids they provided chicken nuggets. I wasnt expecting them to provide that , which was a nice little gesture. DAY of event, they came promptly on time. Being the bride myself I barely saw or had to boss any of the staff around. They knew where to go, what to do and when to do it. They made sure I had water when needed, if i needed anything they were there to cater to my husband and I. We had a buffet style dinner but my guest still felt the luxury of being catered to. Friendly staff and amazing service deserves another 5 stars on its own. On behalf of my whole wedding guest and family and husband. If you're looking for a caterer, go with Grant. He was an absolute pleasure to work with, and he even drove out to help us with some liquor logistics. The food was hands down amazing and exceeded our expectations (prime rib, poke, crab stuffed shrimp and more). Thank you so much Grant!!!

WOW! I can't say enough about this company. We booked them for our wedding on relatively short notice (a couple of months) and crafted a menu and venue design quickly and efficiently. We used them for catering, tables and chairs, place settings, serving staff, etc. The wedding was held in our yard so they had to customize everything to our location from food prep to serving. We worked easily with Sarah and the team for planning and then had an incredible experience with the wedding day crew from setup and serving and then breakdown. I can't say enough about how well everything went on the day of the event. I just want to call out some of the perfect details: - The setup crew showed up exactly on time even though it was a holiday weekend with lot of traffic. - The set up was fast and efficient. Joel was awesome and made me feel so comfortable with the process. - Again, the serving staff showed up right on time and completed the preparations perfectly - Ryan was the perfect "Captain", and truly made an impression on everyone at the party. - Even though we didn't have time to enjoy the food as much as the guests, we loved it. Everyone raved about the food from the appetizers through the desserts. - Lastly, breakdown went just as smoothly and after a very long day, everyone one of the staff was still smiling when they left. - And, in true Aloha fashion I got goodbye hugs from the staff and congratulations. All in all, they made a special day even more special. Mahala, mahalo, mahalo - keep up the good work.
