We had the best time staying at the Lotus. Great location, steps to the beach and amazing views. The Amenities were greatly appreciated. We loved the bikes, beach chairs, and the gorgeous gym and the living room area really added to our stay. Katie, Melvin and Anne at the front desk were so lovely and helpful. We felt like they really cared and enjoyed talking with them. The cleaning staff were also very accommodating and lovely. We would definitely stay here again.I’m

Stayed here to be on the quiet end of the strip and we were so glad we did! We wanted to be farther from the mall and it was so pleasant. We heard birds chirping and roosters crowing at sunrise and it was serene, then spent each morning watching the sunrise over Diamond Head and the beaches to the East. We LOVED our view. The room was clean and comfortable. Shower- a little on the small side but no reason not to stay here. The hike up Diamond Head- worth it. The quiet beaches nearest Lotus- so much better and calmer than the party/busy beaches down the way.

My husband and I shared our first experience in Hawai'i at the Lotus at Diamond Head, and it was spectacular.

The staff is friendly, helpful, and responsive to residents' needs.  There were a couple instances where my husband's card was charged, but the front desk took care of it immediately as soon as they were notified.  They greeted us every time we walked in and out of the hotel with a warm smile and an "Aloha!"  And the room service was great at ensuring our room stayed fully stocked, cleaned, as they were, too, punctual and kind. True hospitality at its best.

The hotel room was the perfect size for the two of us, with a king-sized bed, delicious ILY coffee every morning, and a GORGEOUS view of Diamond Head Mountain and the Pacific Ocean.  We were able to spot a few whale spouts and watch the surfers ride the waves from our balcony.  It added to the experience with providing a beautiful and peaceful start each morning.

Arden, the hotel's restaurant, was truly extraordinary!  The menu has the chefs' unique takes of versatility in different types of cooking methods and ingredients.  This was our favorite restaurant after leaving our vacation of five days - and we've eaten at quite a bit of restaurants.  HIGHLY recommended - may need to make reservations.

The hotel itself offers a complimentary yoga session on Saturdays at 8AM with a beautiful instructor, Salina, who loves her job, and her class radiated that.  It was a gorgeous way to start the vacation - yoga beneath a tree that resembled a green shield against the clear blue sky on the wide-open field just steps away from the hotel.  Embrace the moment, take a few deep breaths, and it will only enhance your vacation moving forward. (Try not to be late)!

They also offer in-room massages!  My husband surprised me with one, one morning.  The front desk called me to let me know the masseuse was running a few minutes behind because there was traffic due to a marathon that was taking place that day.  But only 5 minutes behind didn't hurt the experience one bit - Nicole, a contractor, is spectacular in her line of work!  Highly recommend treating yourself while on vacation, because why not?!

And lastly, the location of the hotel was PERFECT.  You're surrounded by tropical trees, parks, beaches, stores and restaurants.  Walking around will only enhance your experience there and allows you to take in the tropical weather, the soft sand, the sounds of the birds, and the delicious taste of coconut drinks just about a half a mile down from the hotel.

While there are plenty of hotels located in Waikiki Beach, we are so glad we chose to stay at Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head for our first time being in Hawai'i.  Highly Recommended!

Good first impression, helpful cheery staff, a lovely welcoming drink and refreshing cold towel. Unfortunately that was lost when we got to our room to find a half drunk bottle of coke in the fridge, a dirty microwave and a toilet still in need of a clean. Look, it happens, but a hotel charging high rates really should be better. On the plus side, the issues were rectified within minutes. The building is probably a bit tired now and it shows. Only one very old elevator to upper floors (12 in total). Had to walk to the tenth once due to elevator malfunction. No pool but a cute little quiet beach 50 metres away and the hotel offers complimentary beach chairs/towels. Get to the beach early as it will be full sun by 11am. Located in Diamond Head, we deliberately chose Lotus to be away from the hubbub of Waikiki and were glad of this decision as it is nice and quiet. It’s a flat 15mins to the hustle and bustle, easy but hot if in middle of day. A lack of eateries around the immediate hotel area means you will do that walk a lot. The locations
also offers a great 7km walk around Diamond Head itself. Restaurant is good but closed Monday and Tuesday. In summary, it’s a comfortable place to stay, just a little old.

Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, and fairly quiet. The AC was quieter than your average hotel AC (no clanging lol). The restaurant in the hotel (Arden) was also great albeit a $$$ choice.

I think this location is a good balance between being in walking distance to the “tourist containment zone” and having a quiet night’s sleep away from clubs/nightlife.

We had a great stay and would come back again.
