It's next to the Zoo and you can park at the Zoo parking lot for $1.50/hr.  Use this procedure: park and pay for one hour at the kiosk. Make sure you put in your phone number for notifications. After being notified by text one hour later, simply put in the actual number of hours that you want to be there.
The location is great for the beach but it's a bit of a walk to the central Waikiki restaurant/shop area.
Barefoot Burgers on the beach is an easy walk for dinner. Denny's is convenient for breakfast and Leonard's is about a half mile away.

I think this was a super cute hotel, in a good location, and the staff were all very nice.
However, when we arrived we were told that the pool was out of service, but we could use the pool at the "near by" Hyatt Place.

The pool at this hotel was completely torn up, and they were working on it all day every day including the weekends.  That meant you could not eat at the hotel restaurant without very loud jackhammering etc.  Its a super cute restaurant that looked lovely but we never go to eat there or sit on the balcony because of the construction.

The nice staff told us ahead of time that the pool was not very nice at the Hyatt Place, and I did walk down to see it, and it was not nice at all.  Would not like to hang out there at all, you might as well be in an ugly backyard in the city or desert.

So no pool.  No lovely lanai and no eating on the patio.  I understand repairs need to happen, but if its out of commission entirely, they should disclose that and give us an opportunity to stay somewhere else.  We spent all the money on flights and other things, and then did not have a pool as expected.  I just think we should have been given the option to cancel and make alternative arrangements.  Honestly, was just a huge bummer on the trip, and very disappointing to not have a pool or hotel restaurant.

Asked to speak to someone at the hotel about it, and they never contacted us.

This is an amazing hotel! I could go on forever on how amazing it is. The hospitality is top of the game, the valet was superb, the room was well kept and beautifully done, views from the room and pool deck were so lovely. It's a very short walk to the beach. Loved that the hotel offers chairs and beach towels for the day. Only one small hiccup was our room was skipped one day for cleaning but overall absolutely amazing and will probably be back in the future

My family stayed here for 5 days recently and we had a great experience. We were on the 15th floor, so it was a little quieter. The room was clean and in good condition, with a kettle and a small fridge. The staff were very friendly. We liked the complimentary water bottles that came with the room, the water dispensers in the lobby and gym, and also the beach chairs and beach towels that we could borrow. The pool was closed for repairs during our stay and we were told that we could use the pool at one of the Hyatt hotels, but we never went there because the beach is probably closer. It's also walking distance to the Waikiki Aquarium and the zoo is across the street, which was great for the kids.

I had high hopes for this hotel but, unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. When we first checked in, our room was the size of a closet with small window that other hotel rooms could see inside of if the curtain wasn’t pulled (I’ll insert a photo). I immediately called the front desk and they offered a few upgrade options. Stating that in order to stay in a “better room” we’d have to pay more per night.
We agreed to upgrade to a “better” room but for the price we were already paying, I expected way more than a closet size room.

While the rooms were clean and modern, they were incredibly small, and the walls were paper-thin. Our “upgraded” room backed up to an apartment building, which not only blocked any sort of view but also made us feel like we had no privacy as the building’s residents could see directly into our window.

To make matters worse, every night around 3 a.m., we were jolted awake by a deafening garbage truck emptying large dumpsters in the alley. It was impossible to get a good night’s sleep.

I’m so sad and disappointed because I really wanted to love this place, but I can’t see myself staying here again.
