I could not be more displeased with how they handled my wife and I's rental with them, and what was supposed to be our perfect honeymoon trip to Hawaii. First and foremost, I booked through Hotels.com and VRBO, for which Happy Vacations had listed the rental condo I had reserved since approximately May or June of 2021. My wife and I planned to come to Hawaii from October 23rd to the 31st, so we felt that this was plenty of time out to book our reservation. Fast forward to two weeks until we depart for Honolulu, and we get an email - no phone call, no prior heads up, no nothing, that the condo we reserved had sold, and they canceled our reservation. TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE FUCKING TRIP. Who does that? I would think that they would update us to let us know there was a possibility that we may have our trip canceled, so we could plan ahead of time. That is too much to ask apparently. Not a damn phone call, courtesy heads up, nothing. Fortunately, we were able to find other lodging, otherwise I would have been very upset and furious. They returned our money spent on the condo as slow as possible (we wanted to put the money from the old reservation into our new lodging reservation), and barely got the money back before we departed for our trip. Also, they kept the $113 service fee, even though they canceled and it was no fault of our own. Horrible agency, horrible communication, rent from anybody but them.
