I started feeling sick over the weekend, so it was nice to pay a visit to the kind folks at Humu. Their soup of the day today was chicken noodle soup -- perfect for an "under the weather" day. The soup is not salty; chicken is flavorful and roasted; the soup had rotini, veggies, and lots of herbs, giving it great flavor without being a salt bomb. For dessert, I had the triple berry smoothie -- chock-full of vitamins and antioxidants! Again, the staff at Humu are so friendly. The owners and staff here, just like next door at Happy Mini Mart, are Korean, and they are always so kind when I try to speak in Korean to them to practice. By the way, because there is no room to sit inside, eating here is usually either a grab-and-go experience or a chance to eat al fresco. There are tables and chairs outside the door and on the sidewalk facing Richards Street.

Humu Deli & Juice has become a go-to place to grab lunch with sandwiches, wraps, salads, and smoothies. It's located along Richards Street, across from the Post Office, near Happy Mart. Metered parking only. Mainly a takeout place, but there are tables outside to enjoy your food. I've been here quite a number of times, and I've tried all their wraps! I remember my first time I thought the romaine lettuce were chopped too big making it difficult to eat. I guess they can read minds because that was the only time! Each wrap is good and unique in its own way. All the ingredients are fresh and well prepared. Generous and balanced portions, and neatly and beautifully wrapped. My favorite is Joyce's Club wrap because it has the most things! Turkey, ham, cheese, bacon, avocado, sprouts, tomato, and garlic aioli in a spinach wrap. The ABC wrap - if you want something simple. Chicken Salad Wrap is a surprised with nice sweetness from the grapes and texture from the pecans. Chicken Caesar wrap hits all the right flavors. Applewood Bacon Tuna melt wrap is good, but one note. Missing some brightness. Chipotle Chicken wrap is my least favorite. On the dry side. Defintely needs a sauce. There's also a weekly special Jumbo Shrimp Salad wrap. This one is very good. Packed with plump, crunchy, flavorful shrimp. Also, its Portuguese Kale Soup is very good too, and packed with a surprising punch of flavor and spice. The Strawberry Chicken Salad is a favorite, and quite popular amongst my co-workers as well. It's an excellent balance of sweet, savory, and sour. Make this a wrap too! Or create a strawberry balsamic jam for the Chipotle Chicken wrap? Overall, Humi Deli & Juice is definitely a top place to grab food that's clean, fresh, healthy, handled with care, and well prepared. The employees there are super friendly. It's too bad the prices keep creeping higher and higher over the years where it doesn't feel it's worth it to go (but I can say the same for many Downtown places).

My coworker has been raving about this place and having it as his kind of go to for lunch, usually getting the healthier chicken wrap. They're a nice small little spot located across the street from the post office. They can get a little busy and with people standing outside waiting for their food making it sometimes hard to tell who ordered and who was waiting in line to order. They have a lot of sandwich and panini options as well as wraps. The prices are a little on the pricier side but comparable to other sandwich shops in the area like Strotos. The sandwiches are packed full! I kind of wish they came with chips for the price. They all have juices which i saw a lot of people order while we were waiting for our food. It looked really good so I guess I need to try it next time I come here.

Humu is my go-to sandwich shop when working downtown. This mom and pop shop is straight forward with a small counter for a few customers who choose to dine in. I usually order a turkey-based sandwich, with my favorite being the California Club because of all the fresh vegetables. Service is fast but the sandwiches can sometimes take awhile to make, especially during the lunch rush. Come here for consistent sandwiches to satisfy that lunch craving!

Got to try their lunch special with pulled pork and "WOW" it was great, a very flavorful taste, with a very friendly and helpful service.

Well, I was kinda excited to try this eatery so met my gf there & the young guy behind the counter seemed very pushy! Wasn't rude just pushy to just pay & sit down . I did not like that kind of service but shrugged it off & sat down. Upon getting my sandwich I was very disappointed! My friend ordered the same thing & felt the same way. I ordered a sandwich for my son & he's not one to complain but said he could've gone to subway for less $ and more. . So will not visit this place again.

This place is Ono! I love the Joyce wrap! But more recently I've been getting the Bulgogi Sub! Oh!!! If you know, you know! If you don't, the. You need to find out! You get two mini subs too! Picture just doesn't do it justice and I had to take a few bites before posting! lol

So glad I gave this place a try! Wasn't sure what to eat but I knew I didn't want anything fried or oily. I saw "Deli" on the name and I wasn't sure from my experience of deli places but glad I checked on yelp to see pictures! Omg this panini was incredible! I also ordered the roast beef panini too but I ate it before taking a pic I ordered online but I think I'll go in person next time! I'm wondering if they have add on options for the paninis like micro greens or other cheeses. Honestly 10/10 on flavor, visual appearance, ingredients, and texture.
