Located across the old Pahoa Chinese restaurant which is now closed. There is limited street parking and we were lucky enough to find a parking space in front. Inside they have 2 small 2 seater table chairs which are connected and a small counter to order your food from and a small side room that they sell and stick their cookies in. We went into check out the cookies and the assorted bucket had 3 types of cookies inside the peanut butter, corn flakes and the chocolate chip and that is their best sellers. We also picked up the almond cookies container

We had a pickup at Walmart and started thinking of lunch. A recent post from Auntie Nadine C came to mind. Also Craig T had given us cookies from Lynn's a while back. We knew parking would be a problem. Wifey agreed to go in while I parked on the street fronting Lynn's. There is seating to accommodate 4 couples. She ordered the pork cutlet plate , two cone sushi, and some cookies. Note: that tbe cookies are branded Hono Ono Cookie Company which are baked there. Back to the cutlet. This plate lunch comes with Rice and mac salad. A large portion of pork cutlet with gravy slathered over it. The gravy was a little salty, I would consider it again. Service was friendly according to my wife. Enjoy

Lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii... I've only known Lynn's Saimin and Cookie Shop for its cookies. My friend, Paul C., used to order a whole bunch of cookies, bag them, and give them away as party favors! Yummy! I didn't really know that Lynn's serves breakfast and lunch! I looked at photos, drove over, and dined in! This is a small, old-school institution. There's no air-conditioning. The door is open to welcome everyone! There were a few okazuya items in the display case, so I got the cone sushi instead of the traditional triangle-shaped musubi with nori wrapping. I also ordered a Hamburger Steak plate... it came with three patties, a scoop of white rice, and a scoop of macaroni salad. It was really filling for $13, including tax! The savory gravy pulled everything together! Wow! I'm glad that I finally gave Lynn's a try! I'll be back for the Roast Pork plate. The customer after me ordered it... sounds good, yeah?

Lynn's been on the island for a long time.The food is so delicious if I'm pretty sure they've been here more than 70 years. The cookies or amazing wonderful service, beautiful people there make you feel like home. love the food.

Tried this place once liked it so and went back. I guess it was the "Cook" who was in the front and took my order . He should stay in the back cooking where he belongs he was rude and grouchy

*HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, DO NOT RECOMMEND* Tried to give Lynn's Saimin and Cookies a shot, since I like to support local and the prices were cheap, but it was a total sh*tshow. I ordered two loco mocos, and after waiting, the unko who took my order and cooked it handed me one. When I said I ordered two, he told me there was no more food and that he was pau cooking for the day. It took a lot of self control not to throw the plate in the trash in front of him. Terrible customer service. If that weren't awful enough, the place is crawling with roaches. Between the p*ss poor attitude and the nasty environment, I'll never go back. Being that I'm a broke college student, I made the difficult decision to eat the food as to not waste money. The gravy had a weird taste that made me and my partner not want to finish. Also, there is no parking. I tried to park across the street at the gas station, and the owner came out yelling that I couldn't park there (which I understand). Very inconvenient. There are many other places on island that have employees with amazing customer service and excellent local cuisine. I suggest you skip Lynn's.

Saw a review on this place by our Auntie Nadine C. Today we decided to check them out. Double park on the road and I went in. This place had a few items of okazu in the window and decided to get cone sushi bought pork cutlet plate and 2 plastic tub of cookies. Came home and ate lunch. The pork cutlet for the price was plentiful and the cone sushi I took the last. The pork cutlet plate was lots of pork thinly breaded and gravy all over on the cutlet except on the rice and Mac salad. The gravy to me was just a tad salty but other that said was worth the price. $14.00 The cone sushi was good not to vinegary just right. The cookies will try later on. Will be back to try other plate lunch or maybe just the okazu if available or not sold out. There's a man who takes the order and pack up the food in the front. He said he helps the ladies in the back who cooking and as well as baking or when it gets busy. There's a few chairs but not to much about 4 chairs with the table attached. Only thing is the parking maybe busy at times and also challenging to park.

I got to try their chop steak special for $16 and it was very tasty and uncle there was very helpful and friendly. This place had the vintage look and sure did bring back memories.

Thanks to Yelp and fellow Yelpers Donna O. (Pics) and Paul C. (Reviews). I ventured out to find cookies from Lynn's Saimin & Cookie Shop. We found the place pretty easily with the help of Google maps. We were lucky to find street parking just a few steps from the shop. We walked inside the small delicatessen shop. Initially, all you see is the food in the window and a counter where you can order food. Prices were very reasonable, however, we were in search for the cookies. I quickly observed a person exit from a room with cookies in his hands. I wasn't sure we could enter the room. The man in front said I could enter as all the cookies were in the back. A treasure trove of cookies hid in the back. Chocolate chip, chocolate chip with macadamia nuts, cornflake cookies, peanut butter cookies were available today. No almond cookies. We picked up a tub of cookies containing peanut butter, cornflake and chocolate chip cookies mix for $16. Smaller ziploc bags were also available. We picked up one each. We tried each one and all cookies had a great crunch and taste. 4 out of 5 stars. The prices have gone up per past reviews. Considering the size of the tub of cookies, it seems on par with current cookie prices. I don't recall how much the ziploc bag of cookies cost. The store is local to the max. From the food display, menu choices, to the women and man who rang up our purchase. Support local.
