Just took taxi from the airport to Waikiki home. The first thing the driver does is almost run into a pedestrian with her child crossing the street. The driver could barely speak English, was old as dirt, confrontational, and charged excessively. I would never use their service again based on. my one time experience.

I'd avoid this taxi service. I tried them before and I'll get one due to impatience but they try to take you for a ride. Going from airport to ala Moana they went against the GPS and took the meandering local route of Nimitz in stop and go traffic instead of the H1. This is not the first time this was attempted. I asked the driver what he was doing, taking me for a ride then he offers to go more out of the way to get back on H1. Yeah never again.

Ended up finding Ohana after our rental car reservation failed to come through and they were the first shuttle service company willing to pick the 5 of us up without a 24hr advance reservation. They were very quick to arrive and we subsequently used them three additional times during our stay. Their prices were very reasonable, the drivers were very friendly and we arrived at our destinations without any delays.

This was the worst taxi experience that I've ever been subjected to--anywhere in the world. The driver picked us up, raced dangerously through traffic, honking non-stop, before finally pulling over at a gas station. I thought he needed gas. No, he had a scheduled pickup and was late. He ordered us out of the taxi and said that another would be along eventually. The second cab (a van) DID arrive with a sane driver, but no working seat belts. We called the complaint line and got someone who didn't speak a word of English. I couldn't honestly tell you if that was the taxi service or not. Suffice to say, the service here ranges from incompetent to outright dangerous. They shouldn't just be avoided. They should be shut down.

We had a ride with O'Hana from Honolulu airport to Waikiki. On getting into the cab, I noted the fabric seat was soaking wet and covered with two equally wet blankets. I notified the driver and she responded with "that's ok". Having no real choice I sat on the wet seat, my linen pants were seriously wet, (dripping) after the ride. The driver was rude and became argumentative at tip time, as I chose to provide 10% instead of my usual 20. She grabbed the iPhone from my hands and erased the tip saying I entered it wrong, and shaking her head at me. I said no that was right and I was just about done the transaction. She yelled and my partner and I and drove off. My last ride with this cab company. I emailed the company to voice my concerns, and the driver responded that a wet seat shouldn't be a big deal. I feel that in a cab, a dry seat is an expectation. A polite driver would have been a bonus.
