To be honest I was going to eat at a place next door but found out they were closed today so I ended up at Pho Real. It is a small restaurant with 4 tables. They have pho, rice noodle dishes, banh mi, rice plates, and appetizers. Since it was my first time here I had to go with a standard pho to judge how they do with that. The prices was reasonable for what is the going price of pho these days and serving size was normal. The broth was hot and had good flavor. A bit on the oily side but that didn't bother me. The chili sauce on the table has a warming that it is hot and yes it is hotter than sambal so I'd put in a little to try first. Service was great and I was even asked if I wanted more vegetables which never happens to me. I have to try their other Vietnamese food but glad there is another good place to go near my office!

Da wife was craving the Pho today so we checked this place out (shot out Tommy Eats). Parking on the inside is a nightmare unless you get moped or a stunt driver. Get free parking at Ala Moana and the walk is only 5-7 minutes to get there. Shop is right next to Tanto Gyoza and Ramen bar (left of them). 4 tables inside that seats 4/ table. They can re-arrange if not too busy. No bathroom inside. We had: Spring Rolls 4pc($12) Beef Pho with sirloin ($16) Lemongrass chicken plate ($16) Spring rolls were hot and fresh. Had good flavor to them similar to many spring rolls. I give it a C The Beef Pho is pretty good, the meat was tender and generous. On a grade scale, my wife gives it a C+ The lemongrass chicken was good, but small portioned. Chicken was marinated well enough where it didn't taste like it was just a top layer. C+

Pho Real is located in the same shopping area as Hangang near Ala Moana. The restaurant is quite small with a few seats and tables for dine-in. Grilled pork-spring roll vermicelli: The grilled pork was alright. Good amount of fat and it was tender. It does have a strong char, smoky flavor which tasted kind of burnt. The spring rolls were good. The pickled vegetables were good. The fish sauce was good mixed with the vermicelli. Bun bo hue: This was pretty disappointing. You can tell by the color of the broth on the photo that this was not authentic enough. The broth color is too light. It doesn't have enough flavor for bun bo hue. I couldn't finish this. Overall, we went when they were fairly new. There are some kinks to work out and room for improvement. I heard they are known for their lemongrass chicken so maybe I would return to try that.

Location: Across the street from the KHON building. Parking is in the lot next to them or street parking. Ambiance feels like a small restaurant. Service was good and fast. Bun Bo Hue wasn't spicy at all. The lemon grass chicken and Spring rolls were as expected. I wouldn't come back but that is just me. Maybe I am just picky.

One of the newest pho places in Honolulu, Pho Real is a tiny hole-in-the-wall. Their menu is limited (currently with no seafood pho option) compared to the other Vietnamese restaurants I have been to. Since they didn't offer seafood pho, I went with the 1 meat pho and selected brisket as my protein. The food came out fairly quickly; the brisket was a little on the chewy side (with a bit of fat), the noodles were a little clumped together (nothing but a little stirring couldn't fix), and the broth was savory and flavorful. They also gave a good amount of toppings to add in and the server told us we could ask for more if we needed, a "pho"riendly touch I apprecaited. The service was warm and welcoming, especially on that rainy day, despite the place being small. It felt like you're being taken care of. The parking is in a medium-sized lot that's shared with other businesses, so it can get a little crowded especially during lunch and dinner times. It's paid parking too but "pho"tunately, the restaurant offers a one-hour validation if you dine in.

Is it Pho Real that we are having pho today at Pho Real? Yes. hehe. This nice, new, Vietnamese shop is Pho Real, they specialize in Pho and only 4 different types of pho soup ( combination, chicken, oxtail, Veggies, and 1- 3 meat choice pho) , & our opinion about the pho, Pho Real good! I read that the shop is tiny with only 4 tables so I called the restaurant to see if there was a table for 2. Yay, table was available. Cute little restaurant tucked in between Jugo LIfe and Tanto Ramen. I didn't know this place existed. I can imagine finding a parking spot will be hard during lunch and dinner rush. Pho Real was recommended by my foodie/chef brother and also from seeing the Instagram reel on the lemongrass chicken, I had that on mind to try besides the pho. Out orders: oxtail pho & lemon grass chicken rice plate. I was happy to see culantro on the plate of garnishings. Our pho comes out steaming and it was a nice size, perfect for me and my momma to share along with the lemongrass chicken rice plate. The oxtail came with a good amount, 4 small pieces and a huge piece of oxtail. The only minor complaint I have is the pho noods are overcooked which I like my noods more firm, and the oxtail is not as tender, despite that, we enjoyed the pho. OMG... The lemongrass chicken is super super good, the reels are true, I loved it so much, the chicken is tender and so flavorful. It has been years since I had lemongrass chicken, hit the spot! The iced coffee was so nice strong with just the nice amount of sweet. Ann, the owner's daughter was super nice and provided great service, we also got to meet her mom Kim. They are the nicest! Driving home from our lunch and talking to my momma, she mentioned the food was so good, momma approved! Besides my favorite spot in Aiea, I am adding this to my go to in town. All in all, approved by me, my momma and my brother, I just loved our visit! Please support this nice and new pho business, the food, the pho, the service, the prices, is Pho Real awesome! I can't wait to be back & try other items on the menu.

Delicious pho! So glad there's a new pho spot in Ala Moana / Kakaako area! Very small mom and pop shop and seating area, but not impossible, better with takeout though. Tried their combo pho a few times. Most times the rare beef was thinly sliced and delicious (one time it's too thick). The broth was delectable with depth and the right amount of sweetness and saltiness. The meats were of good quality. Don't forget to try their house special chili sauce! (It's quite spicy!) I also once got their grilled pork and shrimp bun to go. The protein was done nicely and the veggies were fresh. The fish sauce could use a little more umami flavor though. The lady was the server and the guy was at the back cooking. She's very nice and friendly! I asked if she could adjust the AC vent direction for me, she just straight up gave me the remote control and said it's Korean and didn't know how to read it haha. Hope they stay busy!

When I saw there is a Vietnamese restaurant called Pho Real, I might have said "fo real?" Thankfully, Pho Real is for real and not some restaurant trying to be funny with dumb puns with "Pho" to get customers. The food is what brings customers back. Pho Real is a new Vietnamese restaurant. It's located near Ala Moana - Nordstrom side, along Waimanu St. Between Bernini and Hangang. There's an open, scan via QR code, private parking lot. First hour is free. This place is SMALL. Not the cozy and comfortable small. It's quite tiny for a sit down style restaurant. There's literally only four 4-top tables with just enough space to be comfortable. Not sure how busy it can get, but after lunch hours was okay. The menu is straightforward with the basic variations of Pho, Bún, Banh Mi, rice dishes, and appetizers. Combination Pho was very good! The broth was excellent. Fragrant, rich, and deep with flavor and spices. Nice amount of meat. Sirloin was fresh and tender. Could have put more tripe in. Veggies were very fresh. Always love it when I get culantro outside of Chinatown. Lemongrass Chicken Vermicelli was delicious! The sauce on the chicken actually had bits of lemongrass. Tender, fragrant, bright, and full of flavor. The accompanying nuoc cham was on the light side and lacked the punch and burst of flavor. Their Saté was good. More on the oily and spicy side compared to others. Overall, a nice meal with spot on flavors. Service was good. Friendly server. Food came out quick. A simple, small, straightforward restaurant. It's always a nice to find more authentic Vietnamese restaurants outside of Chinatown. Can't wait to come back to try other things!

overall had a solid experience. It's a tiny spot--only about 4 tables inside--so we had a short 20-minute wait, but they do have a few seats outside, which helped. We ordered the pho, papaya salad, and spicy beef noodles. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The pho broth had a nice depth, but I do wish it was served hotter. The papaya salad was crisp and refreshing--great balance of sweet and tangy. The spicy beef noodles had great texture and flavor, though it wasn't very spicy (more of a mild kick). Service was quick and super friendly, which made the experience even better. Definitely a great new addition to the neighborhood--just be prepared for limited seating. I'll be back to try more!

The pho was good. I had the spicy beef noodle was good. Fresh egg rolls were good. I got the lemongrass chicken banh mi but there was no flavor there. It had a curry color, no taste of lemongrass and bland. Not sure if I will try the banh mi but will go back to try other foods. Service was a bit slow since it was just the mother and daughter running the place. There were only 4 tables for dine in customer.
