First time here at Sushi Robot located outside of Don Quijote Kaheka to the right in the small food court area . Use to be Bale now it's Sushi Robot along with Pearls Korean food. I decided to have a quick bite they sell all kinds of pre-made bentos also Musubi . A breakfast bento caught my eyes so I purchased it and it was very good . Comes with red hot dog, shoyu spam, egg omelette over a bed of rice . I would definitely purchase that again nothing to heavy but just right to carry you over until lunch . Support local

Sushi Robot! Ok...there's no robot...and no sushi...at least not in the sense of raw fish on rice. But...there's an amazing selection of tasty bentos and musubi at affordable prices. Located in the same space as Pearls in Don Quixote it's a great stop for a quick lunch or breakfast on your way to work. Counter service. There are some tables inside but this is really a grab and go spot. Get there early for the best selection as they do run out of the good stuff quickly!

I used to love this place, and ate here several times a week! Unfortunately they have raised their prices way beyond my comfort level. I can buy a bento inside Don Quijote for $8. But the bento's at Sushi Robot are now $16! $16 for a room temperature medium quality take out bento is a no go! I'm not making more money, and they doubled their prices in short time. No thank you! I now unfortunately have to buy bentos from other places. I'm not writing this to be rude, I'm hoping the owners will hear the feedback and consider offering better priced items. I'm looking for bentos that are $10 or less. Don Quijote sells Chicken Namba for $8.99. I would pay up to $10 for it. Maybe you need to do smaller portions? I'm not paying nearly $20 for a quick lunch so please consider having more better priced options.

SUSHI ROBOT = bento to go In January I noticed they were gone from the spot they occupied for 15-20yrs outside DonQuijote and I was bummed. In April I happened to see the SUSHI ROBOT sign by the DQ carts next to Pearl's, so I went inside and THERE IT IS! I was so happy to see the guy. The name SUSHI ROBOT is misleading, as this place specializes in bentos and there's no robot. Teri chicken, karaage chicken, musubi, fried noodles, fried rice, breakfast bento, and BUTTERFISH bento, all READY TO GO. The mochiko chicken w musubi is the perfect snack size bento and it's $5. The elusive butterfish bento is $19 but you get a lot and it's hard to find a decent butterfish bento, so theirs ranks up there. CARD ACCEPTED now! THAT IS AWESOME! And they didn't raise their prices (yet).

20 % price increase. Convenient. Grab and go breakfast bento. Was $5. Now $6.30. Other Japanese bento to go. Priced inconsistent. Tables dirty dine in ambiance not clean . Service is ok . It would be nice for them to help keep dining area they share clean and sanitized and not blame.

We went to Sushi Robot today and boy, what a surprise it was. We were just getting a cart and I told my daughter to hold up because I saw Sushi Robot sign. It was right by the carts in a small sit down area next to Pearl's Korean food. It looks like from previous reviews, it used to be outside. I think they have another vendor there now. We went in to just check out what they have. They have a whole bunch of bentos. Everything looked so good. They had mini bentos that had one musubi (either furikake or shiso) and mochiko chicken. I asked how much was one and she said $5. What a deal. I told her we would could back because we actually came to go to Don Quijote. I think she didn't believe us that we would come back so she tried to convince us more, but I assured her, that we would come back. After we finished shopping we came back and bought two of those musubi packs. Such a deal. They also had egg musubi pack of three which was also $5. We got one of those too. We decided to eat there. It's so much better to eat there than when you buy your food from one of the outside vendors outside of Don Quijote. This place has a nice indoor seating area and the tables looked pretty clean and new. It was quiet and there weren't any bothersome pigeons around. We loved the meal. The chicken was really tasty and crispy. My daughter loved her musubi and chicken too. She also was surprised how cheap it was. We tried the egg musubi but I guess I expected it to be a little bit different. I was hoping for more of that Japanese style sweet egg instead. It was just a plain fried egg but still good. After we ate, I couldn't resist, I went back up to the lady and said oh can I get two more. I told her it's so cheap and good. I'm going to save these for lunch tomorrow. You really can't go wrong with this place. Even the bigger bentos have so much food. You could probably buy one and eat it for two meals. Those bigger bentos are about $15. We will definitely come back here. Maybe this place should be featured on Cheap Eats...

Takeout lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii... I've passed by Sushi Robot so many times because this vendor is right outside of the entrance to Don Quijote on Kaheka Street. Knowing that my mom needs to eat more protein, I wanted to bring her some lunch. I let her choose between salmon and butterfish bentos. She chose the Butterfish - it looked good, but one of the pieces was the spine of the fish. Shucks. I ate the salmon... the thinner part was on the dry side, and the thicker part was better. The tsukemono (pickled radish) was yummy, and the rice was fluffy! I went back a couple of days later to get the Butterfish bento for myself. It was really good! I looked for a box without the fish spine. It did have bones, but they were removable. This isn't the most cleanest nor most modern environment. It's outdoors where birds roam around and the wind blows particles in the air. You could stay and dine at the tables and chairs nearby, but the clientele might not be the best company. Service is straightforward and efficient. Customers were reminded that it's a CASH ONLY business. I appreciated the free parking, package, chopsticks, and napkins! It's just a convenient place to grab a quick meal!

I usually get the Miso Butterfish bento, which has a big piece of butterfish. The cost is $18.00, today I got the Miso Butterfish and Shrimp tempura which cost $24.05. It is pricey and whenever I tip the guy, he always throws in a musubi or bottled water, today he gave me croquets. The service is great. I hardly ever went to them when they were on the main walkway because they only took cash and I never seemed to have cash on me but now they take debit/cc cards. I miss their jap chae but since they are right next to Pearls Korean BBQ, they can't serve that anymore. I left my cold brew canned coffee there the other day and when I went this morning, I asked if he enjoyed it. He said that he saved it for me because he knew I would come back.

Great value! Omg 5.00 mini breakfast bentos. It sells out fast. Combos of mini smoke sausage, with scrambled or sunny side up Egg and bacon or Portuguese sausage, or spam combo. mochiko chicken with musubi... They open at 6 am. Order ahead . They moved from the front of Don Quixote Kaheka to just next door same property where Yummy's is. Local family business. I have to ask for their phone # to order. They haven't updated Yelp. Large lunch and dinner bentos. Service is good. Simple yummy fast food good value. Clean an reasonable!

Sushi Robot is now located right next to Pearl's BBQ where Donki is. I'm honestly so shocked by the pricing and freshness of the food! The owner was so friendly, he gave me a musubi after my purchase and I was caught off guard bc I just wanted to tip them They make this food daily and you can tell by the freshness of the fried tempura in the huge bentos they sell!! Will definitely come again, thank you for your service and ono food!!
