Best made to order shoyu chicken wings are tasty and moist. Other flavors may be just as good, but shoyu is my favorite and sticking to it. The only downside is there's minimal side orders.

This Vons Chicken is located in Palama's food court on Makaloa. Parking is available for free, though spots are limited and people tend to drive a little crazy here. I called to place an order for half soy garlic and half spicy (hot) fried chicken. The order was made in just 20 minutes! The female staff that assisted me was kind, but she was on the phone with her friend when she was helping me. I found that a bit interesting, but I'd support this business again nonetheless. The chicken was fresh and delicious! Only complaint is some pieces of the chicken weren't coated evenly in sauce. There wasn't enough sauce to coat each piece. Still delicious and decently priced. KFC can get pricey, so I appreciate Vons' rates. You can choose to eat in at the food court, though the ambiance isn't aesthetic. It's very clean and homey.

My favorite KFC. Heads up -- they make everything fresh to order, so it can take a bit. Best tip: call in your order ahead of time and go grocery shopping next door while you wait. I've ordered from this location previously. Today I was about to place my usual order of snow chicken wings and mandoo - satisfying either hot or cold - when I saw they have fried chicken gizzards! Yesssss! Not impossible, but hard to find in Hawaii. And oh they were worth it. They were properly fried so they were done, but not over-fried. They were juicy instead of dried out. A little greasy, but not so much it was disgusting. If I had to share, it would be necessary to get two orders. I will definitely order from this location again and get the gizzards. Kudos to whoever was staffing the fryer today - both the gizzards and the snow wings were exceptionally well-prepared.

Vons seems to be a franchise eatery all across the island. Their Korean style chicken is sooooooooo flavorful plus nice and crunchy. But it's pretty pricey. It comes out to like almost 2 dollars for one small piece of chicken, but I always get it because it's worth it. My favorite is the crispy shoyu chicken and the snow fries. The dumplings are always on point and crunchy and hot.

Loved everything we ordered. Hot- fresh- properly packaged so it didn't get soggy on the way home. I recently had snow chicken and I'm obsessed! The flavor is so out of the world and hard to place. The Korean corn dog was super chewy yummy breading- sweeter than I expected but the added side sauce of mustard was a solid choice. We will definitely be back for the more. The aunties were so nice working and the ambiance was clean and speedy. You can tell they are busy with college kids a lot of times!

Food: crispy shoyu or garlic chicken wings are my favourite. They are well seasoned and fried just right. I like to add a side order of Korean pickled turnips and Korean hot sauce. Service: friendly. You do have to wait at least 15 minutes after placing your order. Their wings were made to order, unlike the other "KFC" that have chicken pieces already fried and kept warm. Ambiance:.... Food court ambiance.... But not too noisy and have plenty of space most of the time. But I like to order take out so I can eat them with my preferred beverage at home.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Von's in this Palama Supermarket and that there were different offered items on the menu. In the beginning, Vons only offered drumsticks and in big quantities. Much more than I could eat in a week, so I stayed away. Not anymore, not with this new menu. I ordered the boneless chicken plate with a side of french fries. I was told it would be about 15 minutes. Not a big deal because we had also ordered food from Palama Snack Corner. My order came out piping hot. The lady said not to tie up the bag and let the steam escape so the chicken does not get mushy. The french fries were also extra nice. The container did not sit next to the chicken plate in the boot of my car. Instead, my mom opted to "hold" it up front. Yeah, right! Lightly coated before frying and seasoned after, made these fries so special and yummy, not to mention they were hot and fresh. Did I already say that? Crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The seasoning was....I don't have words to describe it, but it was great. I suppose it was just seasoned salt or something similar. Whatever it was, it was good enough for mom to polish of half the container on our way home, stating that they were so good, with each bite. The chicken was still fabulous, even after 15 minutes of travel time. Still hot and still crispy on the outside and juicy juicy on the inside. No disappointment whatsoever. I will definitely be back to try the wings and of course, get another order of fries!
