We were there on Saturday, November 8 at 11:30 and the gentleman who helped us was very friendly and gave excellent directions to be able to find our car. He explained everything through the contract and answered all of our questions. The Avis desk at the hotel is to the left of the main lobby if you're entering from the street. And then the rental cars themselves at least as of the time of writing this review are on the top floor the seventh floor of the parking garage.

This location is a hotel-based Avis branch with limited hours. I arrived 10 minutes before my reservation time; nobody was there and I had to wait. (But to be fair, it was one guy and he has to have lunch too.) The pick-up process is fairly smooth, with the cars located on the top floor of the nearby parking garage. The guy told me to take a picture of instructions on his phone, and it was all pretty accurate and easy. Drop off was similarly easy and convenient, even after hours. No in and out privileges, so you'll have to pay for parking separately. Reserved a Full Size car and got a Nissan Altima, which we were able to fit two adults, three kids, and five med/small suitcases. Car itself was in good condition but a little dirty inside and out. It was fine for what we needed. (But if the car was clean, this would be a 5/5 star review.) We were looking for a short term rental for our Waikiki stay, and this worked out perfectly. I would rent from this Avis location again.

Convenient location, drop off after hour, quick if you have known how to rent or book ahead as preferred member. Dennis helped me both days, too quick and fast so better prepare to ask questions and slow him down. Understand the form and consequences before initial and sign. Car are not new or best form but take pictures all angles and details and odometer. Return instructions for location is not that intuitive. Return: From level 5, take elevator to level 3, walk across and out side to restaurant round, turn right and see the sight for security, turn right and left toward the end, take elevator up 4th level. Go through double door and left, you will see the Avis key drop box on the right at the end of the corridor. Minus 1 star for the confusing return instructions

I reserved my vehicle using the online Avis website. I selected a Jeep for one day use and that process went well. The AVIS staff Kobi at the counter confirmed my reservation. He was kind and a fast talker so make sure you're listening. The low Yelp review is for the condition of the Jeep. I'm okay with a little bit of sand particles throughout the Jeep, but you can tell the Jeep was not throughly cleaned inside/outside prior to my pickup. I could barely see through the side mirrors due to them being dirty. The valet person at the hotel I'm staying at was kind enough to wipe down all the windows of the Jeep for me so I can have clearer view while driving. I used wipes and Lysol spray to sanitize the inside of the Jeep. There was trash left inside the middle console & water bottle and comb under the back seat. Also when you're checking in to receive your vehicle you're given the vehicle key and paperwork. There's no AVIS staff going over the vehicle with you and checking for any damage. So I suggest taking pictures and videos of your rental vehicle to cover yourself.

Avoid the Avis Rent-A-Car business at the Sheraton hotel in Waikiki like the plague. They brought us all the way to them to pick up a vehicle with a written confirmation and when we got there said sorry we don't have it but we have other more expensive lesser value vehicles. I guess they think most people don't have the time or energy and just take whatever they can get. the guy working the counter didn't seem like he could care less. Avis is a terrible business that should be shut down for disappointing people on holiday with fake confirmations and schemes.

Always go with Avis. Newer vehicles than others. Corporate pricing allows me to get vehicle at discount. Outside this it may be one of the higher end rentals.

Avid car rental is second to none!!! as Tourette's and locals alike, enter the office they're greeted by Alden and another team member at the front desk, who are extremely well trained by Alden and their ability to make the whole process as efficient, quick and full Of Aloha as possible is just amazing to even just watch. Their offices are immaculately clean, as are their cars and other vehicles that they rent as a licensed office of Avis budget Rent-A-Car. They truly will do whatever it takes to make sure that you're happy and satisfied and give them a five star review like this that is not just given haphazardly but truly shared to attract other nice people to a place that's living Aloha.

It seems obvious, but it's very easy to overlook. Inspect your car before you leave! Got to the hotel and valet reports they can't park it because the registration was expired in May (rented in November)

This is my favourite Avis In Honolulu. Through the years, I've been attended to with so much Aloha by Ryan and Cobey. I loved my Nissan Rogue SV 4WD and was thrilled to rent it for two months. Mahalo and well done!
