My favorite pho place on the island. First thing to love, location! I love that it's located in Market City. Close to me since I live nearby. Decor. There are sayings all over the wall, kind of like when you go to Ross and go nuts. But it gives the place a warm personality that I feel safe and comfortable. I like that the cups are cute. I feel this is a very personal touch to the owner and it gives a safe warm feeling. Now the food, my all time favorite is the beef stew pho. The broth is what I crave for! It's a tomato broth on the thinner side but it's wonderful. And the pieces of beef make this hardy enough. I always choose rice noodles but the other option is French bread. I always order the Bahn mi special combo, if you're hungry I suggest dipping in the beef stew to make the bread soft. It seems that this place is ran by a front person and back person at any time which amazes me. The service is fast usually and attention even when it's busy. Lastly, upon leaving the owner says thank you for coming friend. Just makes for a personable experience. My favorite place for pho because of these elements.

I'M SO SAD Before going the first time, I saw all the reviews about a rude woman and thought to see for myself. I got a quick summer roll, in and out, she was quick and straight to the point. So maybe that was what these reviews were about? (Spoiler alert, NO) Because of the good, reasonably priced food and quick service, I'd be coming back as a regular. I came back and brought extra friends! I found I really enjoyed the food and they offered something I never had at other Vietnamese restaurants! The same woman greeted regulars and friends kindly, but was a little abrasive toward my friends and I. I figured maybe it's a cultural thing or she's stressed. I, myself, hated working in food service so I can empathize! But this time... Not going to lie, it really affected me. It was worse than the times I got food poisoning from bad food. First, I will say to look at the storefront pictures. It is cluttered in multiple signs of food items. The same woman had walked in about a minute before us with the door unlocked. She ignored us for a few minutes as we stood in the restaurant and finally told us to sit anywhere and muttered something about the sign and the lights being off. After a few minutes, two other customers walked in and also stood there for a few minutes until an older woman gestured for her to tend to them. She muttered about the sign again and told them to sit wherever. She then said loudly, "No one knows how to read signs" as she walked to the front of the restaurant. More minutes go by, us four customers sat for a while, she finally brought over menus and THREW THEM down on each of our tables! I know I'm not exaggerating because I still remember the angry sound of the menus slapping our table. My partner asked if we should leave but I was hungry and the food here IS good. The first man left very soon after. After the three of us left sat in silence, the second guy got up to leave, swearing under his breath. And finally, after sitting for a while unsure of what to do and realizing she was not going to wait on us for a while, my partner and I left as well. Curious, I looked at the signs outside and it took me a while before I noticed the store hours in the middle of a bunch of them. We came in half an hour early. The door was unlocked and she could have told us to come back in half an hour before locking the door but instead had us sit and wait in an atmosphere filled with her aggravation. I'm so disappointed because this was a pretty good place that I was telling my family about. If you decide to go, go during busy hours when she's waiting tables so fast that she doesn't have time to be mad at you for being there.

Good hearty Vietnamese food. Fast and friendly service. Clean and nicely spaced environment. Plus it opens at 9am when most of all other pho places are still closed. We had the special house rice plate and crispy spring roll bun or vermicelli. It was all good and fresh. One thing I have to say is that the Vietnamese Ice Coffee was huge. As was the portions of each meal. Definitely worth the bang for the buck. Definitely coming back again.

After we did our Sunday shopping and visiting my friend Paul C. My husband said what do i want to eat for dinner. I said bah mi sandwich. So look into yelp and saw this place located in market city by foodland, cafe kalia, Gina's bbq and donut king. Parking lot was crowded so husband dropped me off went inside and I ordered the sandwich. Took it home and I must say it was good. Only thing if we ate it when I first bought it it would have been better but other than that I thought it was good. Bbq chicken was moist had slivers of daikon, carrots, clinatro. The bread was a baguette bread. I'll go back and try their spring rolls. The server/cashier was friendly and polite. Try them if you in the area

My wife picked up a Chicken banh mi sandwich to share for our dinner. I normally eat pork bahm mi. Well this was very good. Good taste and the chicken was moist and tender. Will be back to try the pork bahm mi or Pho. Enjoy

Da best pho is located at the market city shopping center, as you drive toward Kapahulu. There is a strip of other restaurants in that area. Maybe not "da best pho" to me, but pretty good. Combination Pho - 4 stars - for $20, the combination Pho had all that is expected, but the broth was a little too basic. For me, what makes a really good pho is their broth, and it didn't have as much flavor as other restaurants I frequent. My friend ordered the bbq beef plate. It was ok, but there were only a few strips of beef on his plate. Was filling enough since he is a small eater. Service - excellent, although I felt bad for the waiter bc the manager was scolding or arguing with him about our order. He was trying to accommodate us, but I guess the manager thought otherwise. Still satisfying and I'd probably eat here again if I'm in the area, but not often.

I live very close and we do go to Foodland occasionally and some of the other restaurants in the center so I wish I could leave 5 stars and rave because this is a family owned business but I can't. The service was friendly and welcoming so I will leave the extra star. I ordered the combination sandwich to go and I guess I was charged $14.50 because it was to go? I wish it had more meat but the pate was what I really ordered it for and that was good. I also wish the roll was crispy on the outside. A good spritz of water and some toaster oven toasting would have done the trick. The veggies were very lightly seasoned - I like it more tangy and sweet. I also ordered a flan dessert and a taro tapioca. Both were just okay - not sweet enough for our liking. I'm glad I tried it but I don't know if I would return.

Ordered take out for lunch. Wasn't busy when I went so service was great. Combination sandwich was tasty. Could use a bit more insides, but im just glad it had pate. Spring rolls with vermicelli was good. Just as expected. Summer roll appetizers surprised me with char siu (and shrimp). I think I like it with just shrimp--the char siu adds a slight hardness to it. I'll be back to try the pho!
