The porter charged me for bags when he shouldn't have. Gate agent noticed the error. He said he didn't have the authority to fix it. Another lady said to tell me to cancel it online. He said too much humbug. Come back in 40 minutes the approving person will be back. I go back and ask a different lady and she asks me what I want and then gets snooty, like I'm pissing on her Cheerios and tells me to do it online. Then the other person who originally said to do it online too (But was corrected by the SUPER ALOHA SPIRIT GUY. ), Popped out and said it's taken care of but she can't print it but to take a photo... 2 out of three awesome staff is pretty good! Mahalo Delta Appreciate the Great Customer service! And I appreciate one other employee that only needs a little more training....

I normally fly from Honolulu to Haneda Japan using either Japan Airlines or Hawaiian Airlines. Delta Airlines had a much better pricing so we flew with them. I'm happy not only with the service we received but also with the pilot who got us there safely! Our flight from Honolulu to Haneda, Flight 181, I don't remember the name of the pilot but I remember Jackie, the flight attendant, who was so friendly, sweet and so attentive during our flight. She is definitely someone to acknowledge and remember. Our heart was happy during our long flight. She is an excellent Flight Attendant!!! On our way back home, Delta Flight 180, our check in agent was Mr. Kishimi, who somehow ended up as a Flight Attendant too, along with Flight Attendant Samuel. They provided a friendly and attentive service on our way back home. Although the pilot for this trip landed too quickly and too fast, my ears were clogged for days, I'd still give a 5 stars as we had a great flight experience. Worst experience of my life I will never fly Delta again or use my American Express cards. They totally screw you over when you use the companion ticket. I was moved off of direct to stops for our layovers flying way. Out of our way we paid for comfort plus that was a joke. We booked almost a year in advance, and our flights were changed numerous times along with our seats and every time I would talk to somebody from Delta, they kept mentioning the companion ticket. You spend your money with an American Express to earn those points and then you get punished for using them. What a racket. I would give them a zero star, but you have to at least one

"Jet Airliner" - Steve Miller Band I criticized Delta 11 years ago but now I'm back to praise them. I'm glad the review was still up here because I forgot how bad they were (past tense). Flew into Dallas from Honolulu on 9/27/24 via a layover (less than 2 hours) at Minnesota St. Paul, then back to Honolulu from Dallas on 10/1/24 via layover (less than 1 hour) from Los Angeles. Was really worried about that (read on). WEBSITE: was easy to navigate and pay for flights. APP: the Delta app was fabulous, easy check in 24 hrs prior, print boarding passes, and you could see where your next flight was coming from, and their "on time" stats. It also gives connecting gate information, the map, and how many minutes it took to walk there - GENIUS! BOARDING: on time, not chaotic. Instructions were very clear. We were worried about the short connecting flight times, but each plane was one time, thank goodness! CLEANLINESS: clean airplane, not gross like 11 yrs ago. The bathrooms got gross later, but that's standard no matter which airlines you flew. PERKS: On our overnight flight from HNL to MSP they provided us with a hot meal. We could choose from Chicken or Pasta in economy; I chose Pasta and got cheese tortellini, a tossed salad, a Lilikoi cookie bar, Diamond Head cracker and Tillamook Cheddar Cheese. I thought it was nice that they used local products from Hawaii. Booze for a fee, which we did not buy. Frequent rounds by the flight crew to offer drinks, snacks. Return day flight from DFW to LAX and LAX to HNL, no meal as it was a day flight and each leg shorter than 6 hours, but w/ frequent offers for coffee, water, soft drinks, snacks, and even alcohol at 6 AM (I thought that was funny). In-flight movies, games, podcasts and lots to keep you busy. Complimentary ear buds on each and every flight, including the connecting ones. Loved the in-flight screen where you could see how long it would take before you got to your next destination. For flight geeks, the altimeter shows your descent, super cool! SERVICE: the best on a domestic flight, so far. 5-stars for the service. SEATS: on one flight, the recline feature was broken, so I had to sleep upright for 7 hrs and 50 min. My back was sore. Seats were standard sized. Leg room was pretty decent but I have had bigger legroom on Southwest going between the neighbor islands. WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER: We were texted the wrong gate information for our connecting flight. Luckily we checked our app and the in-flight screen for our connecting gate information, but it still worried us. The pilot could have also announced (as I've heard on other airlines) to let the connecting people get off first, but that didn't happen. Good thing I chose seats as close to the exit as possible (paid extra for those). The app came in really handy with the map to our next flight, and the boarding status of all the connecting flights. No one knew how to turn the lights on. We only found out after our flight attendant on the last flight, had to show us because we had to fill out those Hawaii agriculture forms, I wish there were directions on the general screen. Maybe that was by design, to make everyone sleep on a dark plane. RETURN FACTOR: 100% yes.

Delta has become on of my two favorite airlines to fly. The prices are high for all airlines, however the flight attendants for the most part make my flight. Delta seems to be cheerful, a mix of older and younger, but all kind. This can make or break a trip. I know passengers can be unruly, rude, and basically a pain, but in customer service you need to have thick skin. Most flight attendants I have traveled with Delta have been superb. Humans are humans but I feel Delta has been on time and pleasant with passengers. The food is plane food, the seats are plane seats, and the fares are all high now so the difference within all airlines is how you are treated when also being respectful. Thank you

Their customer service and check in agents are horrible !!! No reason given why they canceled my friends flight to Hong Kong before check in. They couldn't be bothered , and didn't care. My friend barely spoke any English, and I needed to come back to the airport to help him. Good thing I booked their flight through my credit card and the credit card concierge was able to get them on the flight with a few minutes left.

Last Saturday, September 6, 2025, I was sitting in my seat 10F on American flight AA164 still at gate E10 prior to takeoff. It was about 3 - 3:15 pm local time. A Delta airplane was docked at Jetway E8, and the cargo/luggage areas were being unloaded. Specifically, the strollers, walkers, and other large objects. The Delta luggage person at the top of the conveyor belt was putting the large items into a chute attached to the conveyor belt - the person at the base of the chute was supposed to catch these large items as the slid down, but the person in the plane's cargo area was slinging them down too fast for the person at the bottom, and items were bouncing off the pavement after hitting hard - I watched as a stroller designed to carry two infants cartwheeled to a stop. I would be very surprised if most of the items handled by Delta that day were not damaged as almost all of them were literally flung down the chute too fast to be handled. If you fly Delta, I'd suggest you not check your walkers, strollers, golf clubs or other large stuff. I'm sure other passengers on my flight also watched this as our plane was full. Hopefully one of them got a video. It was a total disregard for the customers of Delta.

Do not fly Delta- traveling with family from Hawaii to LAX- we were all boarded then found out a starter needed to be replaced. We were on the plane for 1.5 hours while it was repaired and then a computer was down; scary to be in plane falling apart. We were asked to deplane and what was an 8am departure time became a 12:45PM. Delta's reparation? Food voucher for $15. I made a formal complaint and this was the response. We are currently sitting on the plane and have been waiting for 15 minutes without any communication. Fly Hawaiian Airlines! Update- they realized they need more fuel, so we are heading back to the gate to refuel. Horrible!

The flight to Honolulu on the Delta One in first class was well worth all my points I have saved for the past two years. It was a seven hour flight and the option to lay down and rest was perfect. It has spoiled me a little. Now I want every flight to be the same experience.

Very disappointing, rude service staff, unprofessional service, lack of communication I'm very discouraged with the airline representative, no apologies, yelling back, I booked my plane one month ahead and now they changed my daughter seating without notifying me, this airline is unacceptable. Why did they had to move my daughter away from me? We were sitting together and now they moved my daughter to a different seat now she is sitting with someone that she doesn't know, and I am her biological mother and staff member can't do anything about that. Called the customer Service, but still yet they can fix the problem. Now me and my daughter who is 10 years old we're not sitting together on the same plane. I am very sad and disappointed with this airline that they had to switch my daughter with somebody else to sit next to me and my daughter is sitting with somebody else that she doesn't even know, this is very unprofessional. What kind of airline is this switching seats without notifying me as her mother. This airline is prejudiced because I'm Asian. Now my daughter is sad because we're not sitting together on the same plane going back home for 7 hours. I think not only me but everyone else had this kind of situation. This should stop and I hope the CEO of this delta airline read this and he or she should fix this matter asap.
