Love the Ilikai, great location and views and we have previously booked through a different agency. Unfortunately, this time we used hawaiian vacation properties (HVP) and rented a room for 4 (room 524... ONLY SLEEPS 3 GUESTS) and upon arrival found a 'queen sofa bed' that might be as long as a queen bed's width but is about 4 feet wide, so not way to comfortably sleep 2 people on a bed smaller than a double bed:( Also NO SHEETS for the 'queen' sofa bed...I needed to email and phone them, then email again the next day before I got a response that bedding was coming but it came the next day. So we slept 2 nights with no sheets on a filthy tiny couch. In the email from HVP I was told this bed only slept one, however, when I asked where the fourth guest should sleep since they advertise this as a room that sleeps 4, they ignored me (so only a king bed and this 'queen' sofa for 1 is provided). When I asked for a cot to be brought in, they told me no extra furniture is allowed. So no solution or apology, a room that advertised sleeping for 4 and we input 4 guests into the booking site, and they ignored that this is FALSE ADVERTISING. Of interest they have also not provided me with an opportunity to review our stay which explains the reviews on their website! After offered no solution, I asked for some $ compensation and again was ignored. This is not how people should spend their vacation time so we moved on and enjoyed our week! Now back home and two of us still have sore backs ten days later from alternating who got to squish on the couch vs a saggy king mattress. Of note, this is by far the dirtiest room we have ever stayed in at the Ilikai and all other countries with marked up/chipped drywall and cabinets/fridge in need of cleaning the grime build up. HVP if you would advertise the sleeping accommodations honestly, we could have avoided this suite and booked a room that would have slept our family of 4 comfortably..... we love the ilikai and will return but will only rent from companies that are honest and care about guest experience. An honest company would revise the post and say it sleeps 3 and apologize/compensate for the misrepresentation. BTW the maid who brought the sheets confirmed what HVP rep said in the email, that this is a room for 3 and not 4, but their ad still says it is even 2 weeks after they told me it is only meant for 3 guests. To be clear I contacted HVP several times asking for bedding as well as making the problem of no proper sleeping for 4 guests as 2 couldn't fit in the sofa bed (called a queen which implies 2 people in listing when it states sleeps 4 guests) tge reply came that the sofa bed sleeps only 1 then I asked for a cot in order for this room to accommodate 4 guests and was told that us not allowed so I again replied asking what they suggest we do to accommodate 4 guests and that some $ should be returned if this place does not sleep 4. This was all ignored do please do not now say you would have jumped at the opportunity to help us. We had to stop emailing you and m as he the choice to enjoy our vacation as we already spent 2 nights before sheets showed up for the sofa bed and we were done wasting our precious family vacation time so please do not imply otherwise.

I kept getting spam texts from this company for Discovery Bay Center. I thought they were automatic texts. Someone was using my phone number or the company itself erroneously put down my number. I get a call today from a guy with number 808-782-7829 who basically told me why I was being a bitch and not responding. Excuse me? I had nothing to do with the company and I had initially told him over the phone that I was not the person they claimed I was! Extremely unprofessional and rude! If this is the caliber of property management staff you'll have to deal with as a tenant, AVOID at all costs. You know you're dealing with horrible people.

Fraud Alert! Complete Scam & Rude!! PLEASE READ! If I could give this company a 0 star I would... They clearly have their unit at the Ilikai 1329 listed on booking.com as a 4 bedroom apartment. Additionally it is listed in detail with he bed arrangements as well as showing pictures and including listing it with 4 bedroom, 2 bath. Reservation was booked months ago and paid in full only to find out ONE day before check in, that it is a 1 bedroom unit. Then when called (think there must be some mistake) I was made to feel like an idiot, talked down to, laugh at, and made a mockery. I lived on Oahu for 15 years, just moved away but still own an Investigation Business for commercial lenders ... I employ dozens of people on the island still and travel myself back and forth ofteb. As well as use long and short term rentals for my employees. I'm very familiar with the setup of these vacation properties and the way short term long term rentals work. I also know price ranges and when I was laughed at for what I was advertised as a forbedroom unit for the price I paid should never have been my fault that is on the backs of Hawaii vacation properties. They then downloaded me to booking.com knowing that it was their mistake there the ones who set up their listing. Then to screw me even more they offered me another sub par unit across the street in lesser hotel that does not fit the accommodations needed that we had for a 4 bedroom. Stating if you close the door the living room becomes a bedroom when the other 2 bedrooms go to sleep. Also offering me an air mattress. Which I found absolutely insulting ridiculous and poor business management. Then kept receiving text for follow up wanting to know where I was staying by the gentleman at at Hawaii Vacation Properties. To note my business travelers were intransit from the mainland on a layover that could not be canceled and could not get turned around. They were literally stranded when they got on island this morning with no place to check in and and scrambling for 9 days. This was a 9 day reservation! So for 9 days with less than 12 hours before arrival, I was scrambling to find 3 individual room accommodations minimum. 2 other individuals that were supposed to be staying in this 4 bedroom apartment had to be shifted to other accommodations. These 3 individuals could not share a room and/or a bed are a bed so the arrangements arrangements are offers that were made were completely ludicrous. And they knew that and left the entire time airtime that I was being ridiculous that I would not make it work and let someone sleep on the floor on a futon or on an air mattress. The entire thing has been a nightmare, one person blamed another person who blamed the booking team who blamed another person and ultimately I am the team that suffered. I would never use this company or any company that books with them. Their advertisements are knowingly false and complete FRAUD yet are still posted on booking.com. So Shame. To treat local residents like this, kama'aina like this, to treat struggling small business owners like this, and to treat investigators, in your industry, like this.... So Shame! So shame. Karma. Buyers & Renters Beware!! We booked room 2122 Hawaiian Vacation Prosperities for an 8 day stay at the Ilikai Hotel in Honolulu Aug & Sept 2022. This was a 1 bedroom with complete kitchen. We purchased groceries for the week and loaded the Refridgertor with food and beverages. Hours later we found out the refrigerator was not working and holding a temp of 68 degrees. After calling they had( US the Customer) defrost the Fridge for 24 hours. Our food had to be thrown out. Next day 24 hrs later it worked for a couple of hours and broke down again...In the meantime the shower clogged and would not drain, full of nasty hair and a huge clog. This is day one. We reported and repairmen we're sent. While trying to rest they showed up and were in hour room for at least an hour, we were told not sure what they did was gonna work. Day three the clog let up and released. No showers for 3 days ( Happy Vacation) Whoops now for no reason the toilet stopped working.......During this entire process I was working a plunger trying to unclog the shower and toilet.....(Happy Vacation).....Multiple people at HVP were notified after all of these issues and No one responded to help us. The Manager Mark & Tia were notified via phone calls and emails to the Main office. Zero response.....So today I started my reviews against HVP and they emailed immediately and acted like this was New news...LOL This is a 50 year Old building with major issues...Run, don't walk away...Run! We are awaiting to see if they will step up and accommodate us. I will continue my reviews until this is resolved!! This was Resolved on 9/28/22 to our satisfaction. M & K Ryan

This is an organization that everyone in real estate should aspire too, I have been a real estate agent for 12 years in Newport Beach CA and have yet to work with better people. Thank you for all your hard work, diligence and follow up.The Windsor is a nice little building very conveniently located in Waikiki across from the Ilikai and Hilton Hawaiian Village. Walking distance from all the shops entertainment and dining.The building its self is older but well maintained. Unit 2604 was a nice, comfortable, clean unit with great views and good amenities.I would rent it again should the need arise. The whole process of dealing with HVP was so great that I would never work with anyone else. The landlord is lucky to have you.

We always stay here! HVP has helped us with everything we needed, from setting up a pack and play for our kid to helping us find a place to rent baby equipment. Housekeeping care right away when we needed something, and booking online is super convenient. We keep coming back to the same location and are always thankful for the amenities like a full kitchen and extra bed. We also love the location and the view. We recommend to our friends coming to Hawaii.

Rented Ilikai Room 508 condo on a last minute booking through Hawaii Vacation Properties about a week before our arrival and things could not have been better. We were the first renters of this unit since the owners put it on the vacation rental market. Kat, the vacation rental agent, was very helpful in getting us setup. She provided a very detailed e-mail of the procedures and general rules for the rental. No need to pickup a key since they provide you a 4 digit key code for the condo. A well-equipped unit with a great harbor view. Lots of new linens and a fully stocked kitchen really helped things. Some very thoughtful little extras like beach chairs, beach towels, an insulated beach bag, extra towels, and more. A new flat screen television mounted on the wall and sofa bed really made things comfortable. A real oven, stove and microwave were available and a full size refrigerator with ice maker was a real treat. The kitchen utensils were extensive, making the use of the kitchen very realistic. Pool passes to the hotel pool helped out as well (be sure to bring the passes to show to the pool attendant). Unit 508 is surprisingly quiet. The AC unit was amazingly quiet and the ceiling fans kept the unit universally cool. We went with the $25/day valet parking which was a bit of hassle when they were busy, but the valet guys were never just standing around. They took care of our parking up front and we never had a problem after that. The Ilikai is a great place to stay when you want a quick exit out of Waikiki and easy access to Ala Moana Mall (don't miss the food court). A quick walk to the Hawaiian Hilton Village next door is available if you are so inclined. As veterans of vacations on Oahu, it is nice to be out of the timeshare/activities overload of Waikiki. The only real complaint is for the hotel property - the pool is fairly deep with a depth of more than 5 feet for about 60% of the pool with a maximum depth of at least 8.5 feet or more. There is no diving (completely understandable) but no jumping in, which is pretty weird. I guess people don't like to get wet at the pool! Since the Ilikai is both hotel and condo, the pool area is actually not very crowded. Laundry is available down the hall but be aware that you'll need $5.00 in quarters to do a load - $2.50 for a wash and $2.50 for drying. There is no change machine so bring your quarters!

Looking for a place to rent on a 6mos term. Was told by woman named Kat who unduly changed stories and made me feel as though everything discussed in the 10 minutes prior was a figment of my imagination. She is the agent there. I waited patiently since she ushered me in! As her phone rang, people walking in, all the while not pausing for me even though I arrived before the phone calls and people, then she says " I'm busy" & "I didn't say I had that place available, these other people are probably going to take it". Lie. She was going to show me the place this Sat. And photos of the studio. I don't like people who twist words and then turn it around like you're the one that doesn't hear "correctly". I booked for my parents 2 weeks and that booking they can now kiss goodbye. Bottom line, lacking of congenial customer service...only interested in quick flips and demomstrated low level integrity when I offered my hand to shake hers- she ignores. Chronic double speak. Look out! It's ALL about $$$$, not people, clearly, customer service is not their forte!

We thoroughly enjoyed our room. It was perfect in every way. Great view, large balcony, kitchen and comfortable, large bed. We were close to plenty of stores and beaches. Valet parking was a little expensive, but the service was great. Really enjoyed the two pools too. Everyone in the hotel from around the world and the workers were very friendly and we made some friends. We highly recommend. Thank you!

We have rented condos for our annual December trip from HVP the past 3 years. The Ilikai is a great location with ocean views and walking distance to Waikiki dining and shopping as well as Ala Moana shopping center. Booking process is easy and HVP accommodates our special requests whenever possible. From our experiences the entire staff is very friendly and helpful.
