I love coming here to work or study! The tables are clean and there are a lot of accessible outlets to charge devices. However, it does get crowded during work hours on weekdays so it can be hard to find a seat and there is no bathroom in the cafe so you would have to find one elsewhere in the mall. My favorite drinks are the haupia latte and kukui latte. Both drinks are delicious but they are expensive (~$8 for large size).

We were heading to Ala Moana Shopping Center when my friend said that we should get a BBL. I had a confused look on my face. We know BBL as a Brazilian Butt Lift. She clarified and said that we should get a Banana Bread Latte from Island Brew, lol. We each got a 20 oz. iced BBL $8.75 plus $0.50 upcharge for oat milk. It wasn't too sweet with a hint of banana. The expresso was strong. The drinks are pricey for what it is. They also serve breakfast all day. They offer french toast, eggs, sandwiches and toast. I saw a few people ordering food and it looked good. Next time, I'll try something from the breakfast menu.

Ordered their take on a Mexican (cayenne, cinnamon and dark chocolate) latte. Always love the cayenne kick in a mocha, and regularly order lattes half sweet with an extra shot of espresso. This came out so spicy I felt like I was drinking a hot sauce mixed with chocolate. Approached barista with a "sorry, this is so spicy, I can't drink it" and they rudely responded "what do you want me to do about it?" after a very awkward back and forth, they remade the drink "with less" cayenne only it then tasted purely like a kids chocolate milk. No cinnamon or cayenne floating on top (like the pool that was floating in the first one) and no obvious espresso flavor for getting an extra shot and half the sweetener. Chocolate was drenched all over the cup. Also overheard a coworker say "Ha! Nice one Maya!" Not sure if that was this barista's name, but the other team members were very nice and friendly. So whichever one is the sour barista is probably the reason for these recent 1 star reviews and poor order quality/service results.

Good place for a coffee at the mall. They have some Hawaiian style drinks that you can't get on the mainland. It's what you would expect for a coffee shop.

Coffee is good, vibe cool - the Spicy Avocado Toast a HUGE let down. It's a piece of Dave's Toast, sliced avocado and presumably that premade sriracha mayo they sell at Safeway. I got a butt end of bread to top it off. Either take this trash off the menu or make it worth eating. Maybe microgreens, an egg, cherry tomato, pickled onion,.... SOMETHING!!!! Worst thing on the menu, and I made the mistake of ordering.

My friend and I went to this place for a work session and grabbed a snack. This cafe was a nice spot for it. There were tables outside and inside. It was pretty spacious. Nice decor as well. There were many drinks and food option. We ordered some drinks and a sandwich to share. - Turkey pesto - freshly made when ordered. Bread was toasted well, turkey pesto really good. It came with chips on the side. - House lemonade - refreshing, sweet and sour. It'll be my go-to place for studying and chatting with friends.

Dinner in Honolulu, Hawaii... We were looking for an açai bowl at a place where we both hadn't visited yet... Island Brew Coffeehouse at Ala Moana Center was a great choice! Located on the Third Floor of the Ewa Wing, between Bloomingdales and Mango Mango, Island Brew is a hidden treasure! I had no idea that this cool place was in this corner of the Mall. As soon as I walked in, I felt relaxed and calm! The dark walls, muted lighting, and simple decor enhanced the envelope. Many customers were on their laptops or chatting with friends. Service was cheerful and efficient. I looked quickly at the menu and switched my gears from açai bowl to a sandwich. BLTA (bacon lettuce tomato avocado) sounded too good to pass up. It was delicious! The bacon added the right amount of savory. The chibatta bread was soft and thick enough for a satisfying chew. The Avocado gave it a creamy texture while the lettuce and tomato made it a fresh, healthy meal! I'd like to return and try other menu and drink items!

Not to spill the tea on this brew... The vibe here is what makes it for me it combines the relaxation with the study group in a harmonious way with various types of seatings bar top for the laptop users while we enjoyed sitting on a couple of comfy chairs beside the giant wall to floor shelving of merchandises. After a long day at work I could use a bit of refreshing treat and it was the açaí bowl I was craving and Nadine e was clever to have found this spot which on the second level in the Ala Moana Center right beside Bloomingdale's which is a nice corner away from the mall crowds though many do crowd in here understandably. The açaí bowl is stunning with its presentation in a coconut bowl and spoon as it's filled with fresh fruits and is a very generous portion. Along with a glass of water it was a decompression that was much needed. Thank you!
