Island Brew Coffeehouse is one of my go-to spots when I need to get work done outside the house. Free parking in the South Shore lot is a huge bonus--such a rare find in Honolulu! The space is relatively roomy, with outlets conveniently located along the walls near the booths. One of the biggest selling points for me is their hours--they open early at 7am and stay open until 8pm, which is perfect for both early birds and night owls. It's one of the few coffee spots on the island that doesn't shut down mid-afternoon. As for the coffee--it's not the best you'll ever have, and the menu is definitely on the pricier side for what you get. That said, the coffee is still decent, and they offer a nice variety of lattes. If I had one other gripe, it's that the tables are a bit small. I get it--it allows for more seating (and this place does fill up), but a little extra surface space would go a long way, especially if you're working with a laptop and notes. All in all, a solid spot for remote work or study, especially if you value convenience, outlets, and flexible hours.

Ambiance and vibe are always *chef's kiss* But the food and service was definitely horrible review worthy. I Ordered a Cranberry Chicken Salad sandwich... refer to rhe picture first 2 bites were all bread, most of the (few cubes) of chicken fell out, but what they managed to scrape together and get between my bread slices was yum! Best friend's matcha was super watery, the Hawaiian Honey iced latte i ordered was "less sweet" but ended up tasting like black coffee with a splash of milk, no honey in sight. But my little sissy's Strawberry Matcha was great! Sad that the staff today wasn't particularly interested in being involved in serving customers today, because I'm typically a very generous tipper. And such beautiful women behind the counter, but the attitude and eye roll when I asked if my order was ready really made all that disappear.

Coffee latte is not the best, baristas seem inexperienced. If you order food. Make sure you tell them you want your bacon crispy otherwise it's just warmed in the microwave and served uncooked on your sandwich.

I ordered a mocha and the guy didn't know how to ring it up, after min or so, he asked his coworker. I also ordered a water which they charged $1 for. After 12 minutes I still didn't get my order so I asked the guy where my order was. He asked what did I order. I told him a hot mocha with no cream and a water. ***Reminder, I was the ONLY customer in the past 15 min. He said we have been calling you, which he hadn't. He handed me the mocha but no water. I asked him where the water is, he said it's a dollar. I told him he charged me already! This place is only good for the location!

Island Brew's Ward location is one I visit often, though more out of convenience than anything else. Their matcha is good--not outstanding, but still better than Starbucks (which sometimes is all you can really ask for)--but more often than not, there will be small clumps of powder that haven't been fully combined. As a strawberry matcha lover, I find their Strawberry Dream Matcha to be too sweet, but I much prefer to request adding strawberry purée to a regular iced Matcha Latte. Unfortunately, the $1 additional fee doesn't give you much strawberry purée. Their prices in general are kind of high, but not too unreasonable. Service is pretty good, some workers are very friendly while others are average, but I've never had a bad experience. There is also ample seating both indoors and outdoors, making it a good cafe to work in. Probably my biggest issue is that the straws are unwrapped and left in a self-serve container. While I can assume this is an effort to be more eco-friendly, I find this very unsanitary and hope they would consider alternative options. I've also Doordashed from here before, and my delivery person, in addition to apologizing to me about the unsanitary straw situation (which, of course, was not this person's fault), struggled to transport the drinks because they weren't provided with any sort of bag. Again, I appreciate this business's effort to reduce waste, but I ask that they consider other options to improve the customer experience as well!

The girls at this place are great, however the owner (same as all locations) is a complete creep. There have been countless reports of misconduct and inappropriate behavior from him, as well as "miscalculating" tip amounts on multiple occasions. This has been an ongoing problem for years that he refuses to take accountability for, and his wife is aware of, but does nothing. The coffee is decent depending on your barista, but everything is wildly overpriced for Costco ingredients. As a young woman DO NOT WORK HERE! There are so many other great shops in town that aren't train wrecks. It's unfortunate.

Very average cup of coffee that was moderately priced. There is a giant list of brewed coffees that are Hawaiian roasted and all local. The flavor of the coffee is pretty light. Vanilla macadamia nut flavor was relatively sweet. Free parking in the garage in ward village. Good atmosphere for sitting and working. Lots of comfy outdoor seating and couches, some with shade.

This place is alright, kinda like any standard coffee shop. If anything its a little pricey. They have a wide selection of drinks and do have food/pastries. They initially made my drink iced despite ordering it hot but they quickly fixed it. Their lox bagel was good, but nothing special. Inside has a lot of seating but can get a little stuffy when busy, but there is outdoor seating as well.

My friend likes to come here for coffee in the morning, so we came per her recommendation. This place has every Torani flavor you can think of. I decided to order the raspberry mocha latte and my boyfriend got the dark chocolate mocha latte. Both were amazing, but I wish I could taste the coffee a little more. The following days we came, I got the biscotti latte- because it tasted like marzipan/almond- and he got a caramel latte. Still I wanted to taste the coffee more, but if you like a sweeter coffee it's perfect. We also got a cinnamon roll, which was amazing. It was flaky like a croissant, but also fluffy. I really enjoyed coming here, as the staff was nice, and the seating options were great inside and outside. They had tables and a booth inside, with large booths outside that were very comfy.

Nice ambience that is your minimal, chic feel with concrete slabs throughout, splashed with some Hawaiian flare with the chairs, outside seating, and plants. Drinks are good, nothing spectacular, but they do have some signature drinks that remind you you're in Hawaii. However, they're all pretty hiked up in price, starting with the smallest drinks at the $5 mark. I also waited 5 minutes once to order but other times it's really quick and they're generally pretty nice here. All in all, nothing to write home about but if you're in the area, it's one of the few trendy coffee shops with a bit of a local touch
