This place was so cute and filled with such amazing pastries, cakes, and easy to grab to go sandwiches and salads. The variety was almost overwhelming. I had to grab a bunch of different things to bring home to share and try. It is super clean, easy to select and pick out your favorites. They have a tray area for you to prep a tray with parchment paper, and you put on a glove. The. You go around and load your tray. Walk it up to the register where they will box it all up for you, at that time you are able to order the drink of your choice. They had me wait outside for the drink to be prepared as there is not much room to wait inside. A staff member brought it and a straw out to me. They have a nice area for you to be able to enjoy your goodies outside with cover umbrella to keep you shaded. The pastries we got were a hit! Perfectly baked! We ate them all up in the next couple days. The Dubai chocolate tart and doughnuts were my daughter's fav. I love the fresh and flaky croissants . This is a must try if you are downtown or looking for some excellent desserts, pastries or sandwiches. The eggshells sandwich was so good! And well stuffed with the egg salad and slices of cucumber.

Paris Baguette currently occupies the former Bishop Street Starbucks, which has been a fixture in the downtown Honolulu corridor for many years. I was disappointed when Paris Baguette moved in, but of course, change was inevitable. And so, when the grand opening was held, I saw a really long line when i was headed to the gym. After the gym, I got in line and decided to check things out. It was a small store that basically was a Korean fusion bakery that seemed pretty cool. The parent company has multiple locations outside of the United States and its origins in Seoul, South Korea. And so, I stood in line and waited for a chance to check things out here. For all intents and purposes, Paris baguette is a bakery. A bakery in the heart of downtown Honolulu. It was a cool idea to have this concept here to jazz up the community. It took me about 10 minutes for me to get in the door, but once I was in, it was need to just look around to see what the frenzy was about. I ended up spending about 10 minutes on what I wanted. And then selected what I wanted. Checking out was a breeze too. The portions of these cakes and breads were cute and the prices weren't as bad as I thought. They are priced properly and it is a nice addition to the downtown Honolulu community. It's a nice treat for me after working out at the nearby 24 Hour Fitness around the corner. Or on your way to work in and around downtown during the work week. The service here was friendly and nice. Hope to be back soon and see what more I can purchase. The location is perfect, although parking can be annoying. Best to come early enough to secure paid garage parking or street parking where you can find it. The overall experience here at Paris Baguette - downtown Honolulu was good and casual. It felt being at a Starbucks since Paris Baguette also sells coffee drinks, either hot or cold, and various flavored frappes and smoothies to accompany the pastries and other assorted goodies. Being that Paris Baguette occupies the former Starbucks space, it felt like being at Starbucks but not being at Starbucks. Cozy. The ambiance was nice but they don't have seating area inside the store, at least I didn't see any. There is a small seating area adjacent to the store, next to the parking garage ramp. I ended up purchasing a couple of pastries and a strawberry smoothie for my 1st time here. For the most part though, it is in a centralized location in downtown Honolulu, where you can find solace in pastries, coffee, and other products they serve here. The prices here are interesting and competitive. I used to think about $2.00 pastries at the local donut shop, but this place elevates it to be boutique level. Its fancy and elegant in its own way. If you find yourself here in downtown Honolulu and have a sweet tooth, consider coming down to Paris Baguette. Might just be your hidden gem for sweets and lattes. Their strawberry smoothie was on point. Paris Baguette is located in the heart of downtown Honolulu, in the former Bishop Street Starbucks location. It's physically located at 1000 Bishop Street, 96813. They accept major credit cards as well as well as cash. As far as parking goes, parking in downtown Honolulu is at a premium. Best to find parking where you can find it and walk on over. If you are a fan of Honolulu's public transportation system, many bus routes travels thru the downtown area, either on S. Hotel or on N King Street. You can locate your favorite route that pertains to you. For my own experience though, it is nice to have a sweet treat nearby when you are near 24 Hour Fitness. Makes you want to go to the gym to have a treat here at Paris Baguette every day. lol. Definitely recommended if you are in the area and craving some sweets. And if you still want to come, Uber or Lyft can provide you services too, if finding parking gets you annoyed in the downtown area. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. Support local! B

Paris Baguette opened in the former Starbucks location in downtown Honolulu on 2/22/24. Founded and owned by the SPC Group of South Korea in 1986, the Honolulu location is one of 4,000+ locations worldwide. The chain offers pastries, cakes, and breads baked fresh daily, and sandwiches and salads prepared daily as well. The Honolulu location is intended to be a grab-n-go operation for office workers working in downtown with future expansions in the Ala Moana area and Pearl City. The So. Korean pastries are lighter and not as sweet as American pastries. Pastry fillings are often whipped cream that tend to be airy instead of being rich and dense. Breads are softer and less chewy. Lavazza coffee beans are used in making their coffee. Paris Baguette's goal is to do two things better than any other bakery/café franchise, i.e., to provide a comfortable, inviting guest experience and having the highest quality of baked goods and coffees. Its target audience is the upper-class consumers across Asia and the US. With 200+ menu items on rotation, there are display cases filled with pastries, and refrigerated sections with decorated cakes, sandwiches, and salads. With the exception of cakes, all items are self-serve. You get your tray, then a paper liner for your tray, and a plastic glove to grab your pastries (no tongs used here). When you are ready to pay, there is a container near the cash register to dispose your gloves. With so many choices, it's hard to decide what to choose! For the few times being there, I've tried the following: * Mochi donuts. The 3 mochi donuts that I've tried - red strawberry, coconut flake topping over a glaze, and fine sugar topping, are delicious! They're the perfect texture and the right chewiness for mochi donuts. * Sliced ganache cream cake. For chocolate lovers, the creamy chocolate ganache has a rich flavor that just melts in your mouth and is so delicious! * Sliced rainbow cake. While it's pretty to look at with all the different colored layers, the cake has a mild flavor and melts in your mouth. * Jumbo twisted donut. Made with sweet rice flour and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar, it was chewy and tasted like a very tasty churro! It was so large that it had to be bent to fit in the box! * Fruit pastry. The fresh Kiwi, raspberry, strawberry, and mandarin orange complemented the flaky crust. It was very refreshing! Staff is friendly, helpful, and efficient. There is always someone restocking the inventory of pastries, so it's easy to have your questions answered by that person. When you're ready to pay, additional staff is available to box your goods and ensure that your payment has been applied to their rewards program. The interior is bright and clean. As the area is small, sometimes there is a line of people ready to pay who are blocking part of the display case. And because there are a lot of customers going in and out, be mindful that a few flies might wander in. Hours of operation are daily from 6a to 6p. As the bakery is geared to office workers, there may be less inventory on the weekends. If you do not work in downtown, parking may be a problem. There is hard-to-find metered street parking or nearby private parking lots that do not validate parking. It's best to have two people in the car, with one driving and waiting nearby, and the other getting the pastries. Don't forget to sign up for the rewards program of earning 1 point for every $1 spent for future discounts. You also get a free cake slice during the week of your birthday. So glad that Paris Baguette is in HI with plans for expansion elsewhere in HI! Nice to have a choice of pastries, and Korean too!

I have been a customer since the opening of this first location in Hawaii. Have to admit, wasn't the biggest fan of it in Korea (they have stiff competition in bakeries and cafes) yet have come to know and love PB for their variety of both sweet AND savory treats. And I have come to love the excellent service of the counter personnel and generous heart of the owner here. Will miss my favorite counter person and her phenomenal service, yet wish Oiwell all the best. ALL the staff I have interacted with here are super helpful! ...Exceptionally service oriented. They have helped me with loading up my car with meeting treats every Saturday. Thank you all! And what do I get? For the group I try to spread my purchase as much as I can and that means lots of "mini" pasteries, mini croissants, mini cream cheese garlic bites (one of my favorites). For me, my favorites are anything with their yummie sourdough bread, the memorable egg salad sandwich stuffed with cucumber slices and basil (could use a pinch of salt but I love that its healthier without), my all time favorite pastry... the pecan tart (too bad that's just seasonal). Parking is non-existent. Have found a host of "regular" cars pulled curbside with hazard lights on to run in and quickly pickup (perhaps I shouldn't encourage that)... if staying to linger, your best bet is street metered parking or one of the many municipal parking close by. Or, if you work in the area then ...just walk. They do have a lovely outdoor seating area! Located just across the street from Tamarind Park on Bishop, just before King Street. Will I be back? Definitely on Saturday tho... thinking of coming this Monday now too..!

I've been buying cakes from Paris Baguette and friends/family have been liking their cakes. I've bought an I Love You Mom, Strawberry Soft Cream Cake for Mother's Day. This cake was only around during Mother's Day. My mother and family enjoyed how soft the Cake was and not too sweet from the cream. I bought a Strawberry Soft Cream Cake for my friend's birthday. We enjoyed it. I like how their cakes are not dense and super sweet My friend's bought me a soufflé Cheesecake for my birthday and it is hands down my favorite cake from Paris Baguette. Its so soft and light. I shared slices with my family and they ate it up. The prices ranged to over $40 to almost $50. Its pretty high but worth it. Their service is great and I was told that they only make 1 of each cake per day. You can order online a head of time and do a pick-up. I recommend ordering a cake from Paris Baguette.

Updated review (August 2025): Aside from the parking situation, Paris Baguette continues to keep me happy! Shoutout to Abby who went above and beyond to make my day! Everyone works super hard, and the pastries are well made, beautiful and delicious!

-- Ambiance, loved it, pasty galore, so many options but little space to move around and a lot of people. -- Parking, street parking (seen someone's window shattered, probably happened over night ) & need to pay the meter. Free parking on the weekend. OR there is a parking structure next to it, Executive center: $4/hr but seen negative reviews, or Alakea Garage. -- a little cheaper than Okayama Kobo but quality definitely isn't the same. Their (Paris baguette) salted butter roll and butter cream bread isn't as good. * will be back to try more pasties tho * ｡^‿^｡ -- Dubai chocolate matcha : loved how there was Kataifi inside, definitely tasted pistachio syrup (Torani?), a lot of chocolate cold foam, didn't taste the matcha at all because it was mostly ice. * maybe if they offered a bigger cup I could taste everything and mix it well.. & this was $9

Everything has been yummy. Near where I'm staying and was recommended by my hotel. I've tried the strawberry croissant, the bacon egg croissant, the blueberry brioche twice - it's self serve and always seems busy. I sat on the patio and enjoyed my croissant and coffee. Very enjoyable

We stopped by here today after going to the bank and before picking up lunch. Also right around the corner from 24 hr. It's a small space and was pretty busy during lunch hour. You'll grab a tray and liner and use a hand glove to pick what pastries you'd like. They'll package it at the register. Tried the fruit pastry, pain au chocolat, and the crookie. They were good! Some of the corners of the pastries were a bit dry and crunchy but maybe that can't be avoided. We were looking at the cakes in the chilled section which looked gorgeous and delicious, but decided against it. Will probably not be back unless I happen to be in the area. In general, parking in downtown is difficult and cramped. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area, but there are a handful of other local bakeries and cafes that might also float your boat!
