Closer to 3.5 stars for the spacing and for the more island like vibe to this United Club lounge. The seating is nicely spaced apart for additional privacy. The food could be at best considered light bites and more like light snacks. My sweet tooth did enjoy the sugary treats that you pull from a bin. Service is definitely with a smile. Not a bad option if you fly United out of HNL.

It's a below average United Club. The front desk person was unenthusiastic. Surprisingly crowded for a relatively small terminal. The bathrooms look several decades old. Lounge decor is a bit dated. Buffet was limited but the teriyaki meatballs were surprisingly good. A positive aspect is that the staff is quick to clean up tables once guests have left thus minimizing dead space. No outlets at the bar to charge phones, etc. The bartender was very nice but literally did not know how to make a martini. I talked her through it only to discover there were no lemons at the bar for a twist.

I had the opportunity to rest and relax at the United Club lounge in the HNL airport a few months back. Entrance is straightforward with the check-in process the same as any United Club lounge. The space is pretty large and seating is nicely spread out so you don't feel crowded in, unlike the United lounge in San Francisco, which is far more dense with people. Keep in mind the Club lounges are a lower tier than their Polaris lounges, which is located in only select airports for long haul flights. The food, drinks are all decent but nothing stood out for me. I ended up snacking on carrot sticks. The real value here is a quiet spacious area to relax before you flight home.

Located between gates G2 and G3, this United Club lounge is surprisingly modern and well-maintained. The main lounge area stretches down a long corridor, lined on both sides with comfortable armchairs and accented by large windows overlooking the tarmac. Perfect for a bit of quiet plane watching. Tucked away at the far end is a small bar area with a handful of round tables and seating for about six at the bar. Complimentary house wine and rail cocktails are available, making it a nice spot to unwind before a flight. Food offerings are nothing to write home about but there were some local flavors like Kalua pork, miso soup and dole whip. We visited during the red-eye window, so the lounge was nearly empty, quiet. But I can imagine it being more crowded during the day. Friendly staff all around. Pretty chill place to hang before boarding.

I love a good airport club. This one was not anything to brag about, I really was excited to go because they serve Dole whip. Getting in was a breeze, the lady at the front desk was very nice. Cleanup crew was definitely on it, and the bartender was very friendly. Though I could've used Self serve on the drinks instead of having to get soda from the bartender. I was not hungry when I went so I didn't eat much of the food, I ate fruit. When I first perused the buffet line, the Dole machine was down, talk about panic mode! Cause what the fck! I was about to have a cow until I said something to the bartender and she said oh it's probably just making the whip. Girl say less and thank you! All of that, and when the machine was back up, I was disappointed it wasn't even that good! It paled in comparison to the actual Dole plantation's version. OK fine, I didn't really need it anyway. The united club was quiet and had a nice vibe. I was able to chill there for a couple of hours before my flight, relax and not be bothered by the peasants waiting at the gate lmaoooo and at the end of the day that is what matters most.

The lounge itself was quite nice and you had a great view of the sun setting one last time before leaving paradise. The food was better than other United lounges I've been to and had a great Hawaiian twist to it. They even had Kalua pork, rice, and dole whip. Lots of seating and chargers were available for you to relax and chill in. The bar was a little small and I did find it odd that they did not have a soda machine, so I had to order soda from the bar.

A bit of a dated lounge but the staff seemed to make it work. The ladies running the bar were friendly and busy. Conveniently located right above the G2-G3 gates. It got a bit crowded pretty quickly but I was able to find a seat at the bar. I could see it being difficult to find seating with parties greater than one. The seating is pretty wide open so don't expect to find a quiet corner to tuck away into. The food is mediocre but convenient if you want a quick bite. Nothing to write home about but I did enjoy a Hawaiian sweet roll with some kalua pork. Typical cheese and deli meats, fruit, Kalua sliders and somen salad and soups. The dole whip seems to be the star here as I noticed everyone enjoying some. Overall I'd give the staff 4 stars for hustling and attempting to keep the tables bussed in the main area. 3 stars for the lounge and food amenities. 3 stars for ambiance. Cheers

I had United Club passes through my Explorer CC and decided to use them in HNL. My husband and I arrived a few hours prior to our flight. Luckily the lounge is near the G2 gate where we were flying out of so we did not need to wander too far. I had to wait for my husband to make it to the lounge. I have GE so I got through security fairly quickly whereas, he was meandering through the regular line. I did have a fun chat with the staff at the front desk who sympathized with my travel partner woes. He made it to the lounge and we were both scanned in. We found seating immediately and plunked our luggage down. We went to the bar to grab some beverages and went to town in the hot/cold food section. I liked the meatballs and noodles. I noted the miso soup station. I saw their dessert station but was excited to see their Dole Whip dispenser. I finally got some Dole Whip in Hawaii, albeit at the airport! Shoutout to the bartender who also took pity on me and poured lighter drinks for hubs because I did not need a sloppy travel partner either.

Nice staff. Quiet. But the food variety has not changed for several years. So if you are here for the first time, it is okay. If you are a regular traveler, you will start to become disappointed.

Got a bit of attitude from United Club front desk. Our flight to SFO departure is 3:30pm, we arrived at 11:50am, they could not check us in until 3hrs before departure, so have to comeback in 40 mins. Could not even use their restroom. Domestic 1st class you still have to pay for this lounge access. No really the friendly sky's
