Fairly new to Honolulu so I needed to find a good shop with a good mechanic. Velohana came highly recommended after I posted something on a Facebook Cycling group. On the last ride of 2022, my left crank arm completely fell off my bike. I did the DIY fix on my own but wanted to have a professional look over my work and re-index my gears. Didn't want to be on another ride and have a complete breakdown like that again... Sent Will a note on Yelp & received a prompt response. The shop is not too far from where I work so I dropped my bike off at lunch on a Monday and it was ready the next day. Will explained that a big part of my issue was a cheap bottom bracket that came with my Canyon which I also agreed with cuz I noticed my old one had come loose and forced the crank out. And that the safety clip thingie that had broken when my crank came off needed to be replaced. He suggested replacing it a Shimano one which was a little more reliable. He also said he had a Kogel one for like $200+ but didn't recommend it for my uses. So no attempt to oversell anything which I appreciated. Will texted me pictures of his work and problematic areas which was cool.. He charges a fair hourly rate for his time/labor. The hours are a little atypical -- I think he opens at noon or something. So make sure you check before dropping by. If you're in Honolulu and find yourself needing a bike mechanic or new bike, I'd give Velohana a shot. Turn around times are very quick at this smaller shop and Will seems like an honest dude.

Walked in to take a look and find a helmet to buy. Dude didn't say a word and barely looked up. Granted he was talking with another customer, but even the customer seemed to care more if I needed some help. So I tried on a helmet or two, looked around for a little. No "let me know if you need anything" or "I'll be right with you". Not even poor service, more like no service. I never leave yelp reviews, but after that i had to

I reached out to Velohana and Will the owner, mechanic, coach and guide got back to me promptly and was able to put together a ride for me last minute. He set me up with an appropriate bike based on my needs. Garmin mount and choice of pedals supplied. Will only does private small group tours and gets to know the cyclists and their abilities prior to heading out. We rode out and did a fantastic climb based on my time constraints and it was absolutely amazing. Will also included a little historical but significant history as part of the tour and ended with a nice beer at the end. Highly recommend a visit to Velohana. Thank you.

While on vacation with the family at Aulani, i wanted to add to the "experience" by riding in Oahu. I found Velohana on Yelp and Will was very accommodating & responsive to my inquiries. We met, he had a brand new rental bike ready & fitted to my size & what followed was a very memorable life-experience that offered all you can ask for in a cycling tour of Oahu -- countryside, beach side, climb to multiple breathtaking views, as well as city riding! Also got some tips on how to improve my cycling. At the end of the day, i added myself to those who call Will -- Coach Will! Thank you -- i already have & will continue to refer Velohana to my cycling friends on their Hawaii visit!

Will was super helpful with my electric bike! Able to fix my tire very quickly, less than an hour! Showed me how the problem happened and how to take better care of my bike so it doesn't happen again. Very cheap repair prices for the quality of care and knowledge

I was desperately looking for somebody to take me on a ride on Oahu since I didn't know my way. Most companies never answer their phones or got back to me at all. I almost gave up hope, until Velohana reached out and took charge. They found me Will Mathers who was awesome! He gave me multiple options and told me the pros and cons of all of them in the road at my pace and keep me safe. He set me up at his shop and off we went. Thanks Will you rock!

Didn't know what to expect because I have been riding along time and never went to a sizing for a bike. So I was greeted by coach Will and a smile to start.(through his mask of course)! Then he made me understand more about riding and the right way then the four years of racing I had under my belt. Sizing - too ensure your bike is set up right for no pain Coached - me to make sure I'm doing it right Parts - needed to buy some stuff and was able to order it right there on the spot. Hands down going back again after 400 miles
