Stayed at 1835 for 10 days early April. Missing basic amenities like a dishwasher and kitchen was sparse. Wrote a review on the website but they only post good reviews. BE WARNED. If you want to rent there, read carefully and ASK QUESTIONS if you're not certain.

If something goes wrong you are on your own because.....in very small caption after you make your full payment to Waikiki Beach Rental, it is noted that any technical or appliance problems does not qualify for any form of compensation at the owner's discretion!!!Also, if your review is not 5 start, they will not post on their website !!! We arrived late to find out we cannot access unit 1214 . After phone calls and talk with security, we find out unit has no power and that we were advised via email and would we like another unit for the night!! I understand with this age of tech, communication is by email or text but it would have helpful if a note was posted on the door. We were told the next day that power has been restored but that stove needs to be repaired. We thought for one day , not a problem however we were then told the next day the control board needs to be replaced so basically we had not form of cooking for the rest of our stay which was one of the reasons we chose the Ilikai . I noted very favourable reviews on this unit and realized that yes, unit is nice , beautiful view however noted that when reviewing on their website, the is no spot for star rating yet all reviews are 5 STAR. I understand if this was the kettle or iron or even the microwave not working but the stove?!!! Additionally, we were not compensate for the first night because it cost the owner $$ to put us in another unit. It appears staff were trained to say Sorry for the inconvenience but we will refer you to the owner who then advise of the "policy" The only compensation we received was a late check out. We had rented 10 Units of the Ilikai through Waikiki Beach Rental for a family wedding however will use other forms in future to stay here...Maybe

Stayed at #2603 of Waikiki Beach Rentals. It is our first time staying at the Penthouse of Ilikai Hotel and I must say that the view for the top is simply gorgeous. The apartment itself is massive; it comfortably accommodated our party of nine with a lot of space to spare. We were celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary so we splurged and got this rental. We have more than plenty enough room to seat all of dinner, and all the amenities were working properly. The bed, sheets, and pillows were comfortable enough so overall, we had a great time here in the property. But for boujee amount of money, I expected everything to be perfect, of which it wasn't. First off, we arrived on time at the property and the apartment was not yet ready as it was still being cleaned. I expected a perfect assortment of china in the cupboard but was greeted with a mishmash of different shape and sizes. The storage area where beach stuff are stored was a mess and also a storage of different things for the room. Without a doubt, the property is beautiful, with excellent views. But I wished it reached the vicinity near of perfection since we were paying top money for the room.

Stayed Recently at the Ilikai #1539. Decent unit but not the gourmet kitchen as advertised. Mismatch of plates, bowels, cutlery etc. older pots , pans. unit could use a good deep cleaning. Dust on furniture, inside cupboards and on cupboard doors.

i would say firstly stay clear of this booking company. We rented a privately owned Penthouse 2603 in the ILIKAI. Waikiki Beach Rentals was in charge of this rental. While the space and views were beautuful. We found many issues with this condo. It had huge massive heavy sliding glass doors (three sets). Once opened, they were almost impossible to close. fan in living room not working, pot light flickering, light in laundry area burned out ( no repkacement bulbs). website said free local/long dist calls to US & Canada. Phones plugged in but not working. Hand held shower head in main bathroom. made strange noises and had no water pressure. bifold doors to third bedroom difficult to open and close. Stench coming from kitchen sink drain Needless to say we were not impressed. i think when you spend a lot of money on accommodations you should anticipate something in better condition. i also sent a review on PH. 2603. It has yet NOT been posted. I assume they will only post positive reviews. S h a d.y I suggest AVOID Waikiki Beach Rentals. They dont care! .

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. We booked unit 1727 at the Ilikai over 8 months in advance and used their search engine to specifically choose a unit with the privacy wall, lots of storage and a warm Hawaiian decor. We needed the privacy wall because my husband has health issues that have him up in the middle of the night. We needed storage because we were staying almost 2 months. We arrived to find the unit we chose had been completely gutted and changed to a unit with no privacy wall, a tiny 2 foot wide closet, and no storage at all. And the decor was cold, harsh, and very sparse. There wasn't even a coffee filter! No measuring spoons or cups, no laundry basket, 1 kitchen towel, no hooks anywhere, and the only glasses were 6 giant tumblers, The toilet seat had been changed to a bidet style that wobbled back and forth and was so tall that your feet didn't touch the ground. Our complaints were basically met with disinterest. They did come to fix the toilet but did it by putting in a completely new toilet exactly like the old one and reinstalling the dangerous bidet seat. We had to insist that they just put a normal seat on. The loss of the privacy wall made our stay very uncomfortable and we had to live out of our suitcases for 2 months. They finally refunded $185 for the cleaning fee, but that was the extent of their reparations. They also never warned us that the electricity was to be turned off at 10pm one night either. The manager hung up on us when we tried to explain our distress. I would strongly recommend that you NOT use this company. Also, the Ilikai has taken a strong dip in quality as a place to stay with numerous false fire alarms, no working escalator (one has been out for years) and poor handling of power outage with a tiny sign outside the elevators.

We have used this place for Ilikai bookings for many years but have noticed these last few years that their service is not what it was. Urgent complaints such as door not able to be locked, can only be done via email and took over 24 hours to be resolved. Ilikai unit we have just stayed in was dirty, black mould in shower, dirty handprints on doors, needs a thorough deep clean to make it safe to be in. Cant trust this rental company to care

This is the worst management company I have ever encountered in my entire 75 years of both using and working in the hospitality business. They just don't care. We were left, waiting to get into our room for an hour and a half after we arrived, standing in front of the door, trying to use a key code that didn't work. I shuffled back-and-forth between the door, the front desk, and the security office to finally get a temporary security code to come into our room. I was told I would get a permanent security code the next day, but that never happened. The closet door is falling off of the ceiling and I was told it would be fixed on Monday, but it wasn't. I was told it would be fixed on Tuesday but today is Tuesday and it still hasn't been fixed. Nothing but lies and empty promises.

Do not let this company ruin your Hawaii vacation! I am typing this review as I sit in the lobby of the Ilikai condo building. After flying half way around the planet, I walked into the condo that was reserved for me only to find a complete mess of another party's luggage and belongings. I contacted Waikikibeachrentals and was told that there was a mistake by their agent and that they will contact their guest and have them leave the condo. I requested that the condo be thoroughly cleaned due to the covid pandemic. The agent repeatedly insisted that the guest had just checked in and that the condo was safe to stay in (see pictures, this is clearly not the case). After being disgusted by the company's unprofessionalism and refusing to stay in the condo, the agent "Miho" took several hours to respond by presenting several substandard condo replacements. She even had the audacity to try to upsell me on another condo. I was sent to a dirty condo that had a box fan instead of an ac unit and a second condo with missing tiles on the floor all while having the agent insist that these units are "upgrades" and are "nicer than the unit that was reserved". It is very evident that this company has no standards for cleanliness let alone covid-19 protocols. This company is an absolute joke and should be avoided at all cost. Ilikai security advised that waikikibeachrentals is a cut rate agency and this situation is extremely common due to their negligence and general disorganization. They also advised that they typically do not see this issue with other rental agencies that operate in the building. It is now 9pm HST and my family and I are essentially homeless in Hawaii. Dealing with this company is worse than dealing with those people that call about your "vehicles extended warranty". Thanks waikikibeachrentals....

The Ilikai is poorly managed by Waikiki Beach Rentals. They lack in customer service in all aspects. If there is an issue with the condo, they will attend to it at their convenience or not at all. If you continue to report a problem, their response is the same. "We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused". The guests are not a priority. The manager doesn't reply to the emails, it's a variety of staff members and the response is the same from all of them. Also at the end of your stay an automated email is sent asking for a review. I sent one in and it wasn't posted. The reviews on their website are only positive so I believe they only post the good ones. If you do decide to rent from them, after reading my review and many others hopefully you don't have any problems with your rental unit. Just stay away from unit 2033. Looks good in the photos but not in person. There are no drawers to put your clothes into so your only choice is leave them in the suitcases under the beds and it becomes annoying very quickly, there is no dishwasher and the kitchen sink stopper doesn't fit the drain properly so the water drains out, the kitchen is small and there isn't any cupboard space to store your food, there is a ceiling fan but it's just for show, the paint was just slapped on, it's loud on the lanai from the AC noise coming from the building across the way, constant city traffic noise coming from between the buildings on the right, lanai furniture is old and should be replaced. There are no extras in this unit.
