If i was able to leave less than a 1 star review i would. This place has the absolute rudest staff, arguing with tenants in front of guests, constantly talking down on the tenants in the open. Also witnessed management team yelling at tenets and then proceeding to laugh at the situation. Will NOT and would NOT want anyone to stay here. Seriously do better!

The worst experience I've had in Hawaii. The mirrors in the bathroom are 2 way mirrors so management can watch on the other side. The staff is also horrible and won't do anything about it. The manager doesn't understand anything and the short security guard doesn't know common decency. Would not recommend to anyone. DO NOT COME HERE.

I rent/live in a unit in the building and have had so many issues with the staff- parking, having guests over, mail, and most recently not being able to get things fixed. The light right in front of my unit window to my bedroom is flickering like a strobe light. I've asked for this to be fixed for 3 plus days both in person and via email to fix a light bulb. I offered to take care of it myself but was told not to. I was then told they would "get to it when they can". Half of the time the staff is too busy talking story with the valet people.. Ever since the building staff harassed me about my service animal I feel like they have purposely ignored any requests and have been unnecessarily rude. Every interaction with the staff is stupidly contentious and for no reason.

Idk about the property itself, but there is a legit Karen flexing on tourists who are looking to hit the food trucks across the street. We were literally looking to stop for a few minutes while we placed n picked up our orders. I guess even in paradise, there's atleast 1 Debbie downer. I hope she loosens up and stops being a thunderc*nt.

The building and views are great; however, the staff is THE WORST. There seems to be a lot of turnover and those staff members that have left shared similar information/complaints with me. Not sure who is in charge-there is a building manager and some woman who manages units. Neither of these women should be in a customer facing role and they both seem to really dislike each other. I had complained about a difficult neighbor who was in a unit on the floor I was renting and I was told by a woman named Sharon (maybe Sharie) that she would pass it along. She then proceeded to tell me that the other woman who manages that unit can be difficult and she wasn't sure anything would come from it. I could tell that nothing would come from my concern. My biggest gripe was regarding their handicapped parking. I had a visitor who was disabled trying to visit me and they were harassed by the security people and were told they could not park in the handicapped parking b/c it was reserved for the restaurant on the bottom floor. The restaurant was not open at the time but they were threatened by the security folks and told they would be towed if they did not move. After a lot of back and forth my guests decided it was not worth the headache. I had heard from a neighbor that they also had a visitor who was handi capable and they were also told they could not use the parking spot. They seem to not really care about individuals with disabilities and more about catering to the restaurant on the first floor. I should mention that after 5PM their S*it show of a valet parking makes it difficult to enter or exit the building. I would definitely return if the property management company would find a competent onsite manager. Sad b/c the location really is great.

I have been a loyal customer & fan of Hy's Steakhouse for 40 years. As a physician, I even cared for some staff, including their long term valets, in the past. About 6pm yesterday I was trying to pickup a VIP & her daughter. She is new to Hawaii, was lost and in a bit of a panic - on Kuhio Ave just a few dozen feet from the Hy's entrance. I pulled in to the familiar driveway, spoke to the valet, and asked if I could leave my car with blinkers on to rescue my acquaintances. He gave permission and, upon finding them, we returned within 5 minutes. As we were entering my vehicle, safely off to the right side while exiting,a short 40ish Asian male rushed me, screaming: "NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!" He was red-faced wearing darkish clothes with no identification and did not identify himself. I tried to explain I was given permission and motioned to the valet desk. Still screaming in front of my guest and her child -flailing his arms as if to attack, he continued to shout, "YOU TALKED TO MY BOSS? SHE'S A BLONDE HAOLE!!! YOU LIAR!!!" He refused to listen and stormed away, again screaming "GOODBYE LIAR!!!" I had considered taking my overseas guests to Hy's, but after that, we went to another fine Waikiki restaurant. I called Hy's management and spoke to Bob, who recognized me from my decades of patronage. He surmised that this unprofessional, immature and malicious character was possibly security for the Waikiki Park Heights -lodging that I have often referred friends to since it is walking distance to my own Waikiki residence. My son is HPD and certainly would not escalate such a minor situation as this amateur employee who, if he really is a hotel employee, is clearly unfit for such employment. He left a definite distaste for first timers in America and Waikiki and was uniquely abusive. It reminds me of that old saying, "Little dog, big bark."

This is for Unit 1801, not any other in this 23 floor Condominium property. So take reviews by the unit as just that, not for the entire property! THIS REVIEW IS NOT FOR UNIT 5! I booked it thru AirBNB without a hitch. It is managed via Hawaii Dream Realty/ Elite Realty, their offices being just across the street. The property is 2 blocks from Waikiki beach, has Hy's Steakhouse on the ground floor level, has a 4 story parking garage, full 24 hour security, with user card elevator access, and a private pool. Unit 1801 is a corner unit, with 3 sided views, of makai (Waikiki beach), partial Diamond Head, and mauka view (mountain side). It is typical Honolulu condo size (smaller than mainland,.. hey brah, dis dakine island, not Texas brah!... except for those new micro apartments in SF), but very clean and efficient. The living area is small, combining a convertible couch/full size bed, integrated with a large kitchen island/dining/counter area, with a large LCD TV on the wall, and an all AEK stainless steel kitchen. But there is a decent Lanai with table and chairs viewing the ocean and Waikiki. It has full AC and a ceiling fan, but the island breezes flow through the unit from front to back. The bedroom is larger than the living/kitchen area, with a king size bed, closet, chest, basket drawers, night table, and a full length window with Ala Wai canal/golf course/mountain view. I suspect the owner is Japanese, because the bath is a Japanese design, with a flex head shower and tiled rinse/cleaning area, and a separate Ofuru (bath), which is short and deep, like Japan, meant for after scrubdown/rinse soaking and relaxing. And the separate toilet room has a Japanese Toto Washlet electric commode, with water jet rinse front or back, and air dry features, with those remote controls mounted on the wall in front of you above the TP. It is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, linen, towels, pillows, coffeemaker, waterpot, knives, utensils, blender, and a vacuum and boogie board in the closet. WiFi is included. The complex has a laundry facility in the basement, and the pool on the 4th floor. Hawaiian Dream Realty met us at the front door when we let them know our arrival time, to get our keys. The parking space was included in the price, which is great, because we like to get out and about, and parking could add $20/$30 a day in Waikiki. Hotels on Waikiki, depending on quality, time of year, and amenities, typically range from $150 to $600, with better chains being in the $300+ range for a basic room. (Hilton, Westin, Hyatt). Here, with 1 week, free parking, taxes, etc., it was about $200/night, for a full 1 bdr condo, which could sleep 2, 3 or 4 potentially. The advantage is we can just buy groceries for the week to eat breakfast, lunch, pack a lunch for the beach, etc, and just concentrate spending on dinners and shopping, which is all walkable from here. I like the more local-emersion feel than the hotel-service-got-to-go-down-to-eat-somewhere feel that it gives.

The location, proximity to beach, views from 2 lanais on the 22nd floor , 3 bedrooms, safe parking and price make this a 5 star rating. BUT - check-in was an inflexible 3pm, the disposal and coffee maker didn't work, view bedroom has twin beds, a/c doesn't really work and the back bedrooms are flood lit by security lighting. Kitchen is very poorly equipped and the washing machine floods the kitchen floor. Did I mention that it has just one bath? So it's shoddy maintenance and amenities, weighed against location, 3 bedrooms and a kitchen. Would I recommend it? Yes - if value and location trump amenities.

This review is solely to complain about the RUDE employee working the front desk named Joe. When I approached and said hi, he barely even looked up. Very unfriendly. Then when I asked him to help me locate a lockbox to check out, he scoffed and said "I don't know, how am I supposed to know, you gotta figure it out". Somebody please tell him that he is working in HOSPITALITY.

I would not recommend this place and here's why: -the place is rather tiny -their full kitchen is not quite full with dismal burners (ours were actually broken when we came in) -the shower floor looked gross (bring shower shoes!) -no light in the shower -theybkeep storage in plain sight in the room -11am check out time (literally, the lady knocked on our door at 10:59 and waited outside the door until we were all out. I have NEVER experienced such bad hotel service) -no parking (the have multiple garages with empty spaces.. like consistently empty, yet they still expect guests to pay for parking..shouldn't that be complimentary?) There are some pros. Its 5 min from some of the most fun bars and 2 blocks from the beach
