STAY AWAY!!! They have crazy policy deposit policy $1000, and I has been over a month and the deposit was NOT returned in full amount. They will give you 50% weeks after the car was returned and you will have to beg them to send the rest. So far they returned 80% of the amount and they stay quiet, like nothing happed. This is despite multiple txt and calls. The car that I received, Toyota Camry, was scrunched all over and the check engine light was on, the steering wheel was shaking during the drive as the wheels were going to fall off. You basically wonder if you going to make to your destination. Overall horrible experience.

Save yourself a headach and stay far away from this car rental place. They have no intention of returning your deposit. David will also charge you $55/day insurance even if you provide a copy of your auto insurance (well above NYS $12/day maximum). Still waiting on my deposit from 5 months ago. place is run by thieves.

TL;DR, if you accept car rentals at 8pm, be available at 8pm. If you require proof of liability insurance, state so up front, before people rent from you. Booked a car via economy bookings for 8pm to 8pm. Yesaway contacted me about a day prior, and confirmed 8pm pickup. We arrived about 7pm, and spent a fair time trying to find their pickup location, as they are offsite at some weird industrial area. I called and texted, and was informed they had closed for the night, and I should take an Uber to the pickup location. This was about 730pm. After wandering another 15 minutes to find the Uber pickup location, we finally made it to the pickup area, which was also far from self explanatory. They sent me the rental agreement via text, saying the dropoff was 7pm, not 8pm. I pointed this out, and they at first tried to negotiate an earlier dropoff time, then ghosted me (I never did get an updated rental agreement). The day of dropoff, they called me arpind 2pm, and tried to get me to drop the car off around 5pm, as they wanted to close at 6pm. I refused, but said I'd be there when I could. I ended up being able to make it by 5pm, but seriously annoyed they rented a car for times when they weren't open. On top of that, they require liability insurance, which they don't disclose until about a day before you arrive. If you require liability insurance, tell people before they book a rental with you, seriously. As we are not NZ residents we were actively avoiding this requirement as we weren't sure how travel insurance would apply. IF Y0URE GOING TO BE CLOSED, DONT RENT CARS DURING THAT PERIOD! IF YOU REQUIRE LIABILITY INSURANCE, SAY SO BEFORE PEOPLE BOOK, not a day prior to pickup. End to end a ridiculous company.

I want to praise the service of Yesaway, in particular the above-and-beyond assistance I received from a young employee there named Harvey. When I walked in the door, Harvey could see I was sweaty and exhausted. This is because three taxis in a row at the Honolulu Airport quite rudely refused to take me to Yesaway and I was forced to walk, lugging my bags in the July heat for two miles. He immediately offered me some cold water and insisted I take a breather. He was genial and extremely helpful, the exact opposite of the "service" I received at the airport. Noticing my military ID, he even gave me a discount on my rental price. The airport taxi drivers started me off on the wrong foot during my stay in Hawaii, but Harvey and Yesaway put me back on the right foot! Seriously, Yesaway higher-ups, give Harvey a bonus or an Employee of the Month recognition or something!

This was my first time renting with Yesaway and I had a great experience. I gave them my insurance info and drivers license info ahead of time so on the day of car pick up it was less than 5 minutes to get the car because all my info was typed in by them ahead of time. On the day of pick up they texted info with photos on where to wait for the shuttle in Honolulu. My family walked to a designated pick up area and we were picked up by a very nice gentleman in a Mercedes SUV and driven to the location of car pick up. We were very satisfied with the car rental experience. We had a Toyota Camry to drive which we loved. Yesaway's prices beat out the top competitors Hertz and Enterprise. I would definitely use them again.

STAY AWAY! They have a crazy policy that requires written proof of your car rental insurance. I was standing around for 30 minutes trying to get my credit card company or car insurance company to send me some thing. Obviously they want to force you into buying there insurance. Car was not clean. Pick up was difficult as they never sent me instructions to which the person answering the phone kept referring. Overall horrible experience.

This car rental place has great service. So far they've been sending me great text instructions on how to pick up where to go and they even include photos of the area. Their response to your text is super fast and they make checkin easy ahead of time via digital methods text or email. You will not be disappointed!! Their rates are far better than the other car rental places.

My first time renting a car, so I didn't know what to expect, however when I landed in Honolulu they had a shuttle waiting for me, they took me to their office and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Would definitely recommend them

//Sep 21, 2021 two days before rentals I am told to PURCHASE SLI due to the fact that I do not have my personal car insurance// when you book READ RHE FINE PRINT. I cancelled with a service fee less then 24 hours which I didn't mind., as I looked around for Real USA car rentals the price would be the same ( with NO LDW, BUT MORE TRUSTWORTHY and not jacking you around two days before your rental, which IMO, are worth less stress with a company that I can rely on...lesson learned )with full insurance.. Just saying. ! The make you spend $$$ and you need YOUR OWN INSTANCE, which I prefer not to attach too ...

It seemed like a good price at first but, there were additional fees added during check in. Our reservation was also completely thrown out it seems as I paid extra for a compact car and they handed us the keys to another. The shuttle from the airport was also confusing as the first person we talked to told us to wait outside and a shuttle would come, but after an hour we were told by another representative that we needed to go across from the baggage claim. Would not recommend.
