I stopped to have a bite today after work. I was warmly greeted by the staff and who I believe to be the owner. I ordered the two hotdog special . The food was great and the potion was large . The customer service was really great . I'll definitely be coming back for more .

Don't be fooled by one star! Terrible! No service! Ordered online via site (hot dog combo and burger) Got there time expected, two women ahead of me. They must have been waiting a while because they left. one staff, maybe owner ? who was cooking. I was up next, not acknowledged. after few minutes, he "apologized" about a big order before and my order wasn't even started. I asked for a refund he said I would have to cancel. I left, found out that the restaurant has to cancel,went back. never received refund.

Ever since John left the new management and staff has got really horrible. The food quality has lost its flavor also. Sad to write this but it use to be one of my favorite place until now. Hope this review helps the food and service to improve

We ordered a gyros plate. The nastiest fries I was ever served, dark brown limp and grease soaked and into the trash. One pita was hard like a cracker and grease soaked. The sauce was poured into one of the little compartments as was the salad and everything was scattered together, I remember little containers for the sauce. I have eaten here many times and could not even imagine the food being like this. Never again and will not recommend ever.

We had ordered from here bc I'm always down to eat a gyro. My husband had a burger, which he said was below average and he didn't finish it. 2 of my girls had chicken tenders and fries. They didn't even touch their tenders. They didn't like them. It was like their oil they fry them in hasn't been changed in awhile. They said the ketchup tasted weird too. Which it did but more bbq sauce then ketchup. Another daughter had a hotdog. She said it just tasted like a hotdog. Nothing special. I had gyro. It tasted like just a typical gyro. The tzatziki wasn't as good as others I've had before. We are in from out of town so we figured we try and grab a quick bite here. Food is less than average. There's a million other places in the area that are much better. I wouldn't waste your money.

Yep. This is exactly what I look for when I travel. A cozy little restaurant. When I walked in, the owner(?)/cook(?) was in the dining room chatting with a couple folks. Maybe just regular customers. Maybe family or friends. Either way, it was a pleasant environment to walk into after dealing with traffic. Rocky's delivers a quality Gyro with a smile. Though I didn't see it from the dining room, I'm sure the gyro meat was cut from a rotisserie on premesis, as opposed to the frozen gyro meat "planks" some other places offer. The meat was juicy and tender, smoky and flavorful. The handmade tzatziki sauce was very good, and obviously something they are proud of. They charge 63¢ for each additional cup, but it's worth the extra change. I ordered my old faithful onion rings as a side. That counts as a vegetable, right? They were good. Not great, but not bad at all. What really "did it" for me at Rocky's was the service. The lady who rang up my order and served the food was genuinely patient and friendly. The food portions were quite large, and the quality of the ingredients is impressive. I'm holding back on the fifth star, because the dining room could use some cleanup (ceiling tiles.) I won't hesitate to go back. Rock on, Rocky.

Where do I start? I've lived in the neighborhood for almost 30 years. Don't get me wrong, I've given thought to try this place. But obviously not much thought. It's truly a hidden gem when it comes to Gyros. Because it says Rocky's gyros right? So I asked a family member, about Gyro's and I thought about Aristons first. Which is another staple in the neighborhood. But he said NO, try Rocky's. The tzatziki sauce is much better. So not only did I try the gyro once, I had it two days in a row! That's how good it was! The meat and the sauce is FYE! And apparently they fry their fries in fresh oil. Because both times, I got good hot fries! I'm from Chicago/ born and raised! So greektown has some of the best gyros. But for a greek ran suburban joint. You can't go wrong! See ya soon ROCKY'S!!!
