You have to be careful at this stop because it is unmanned and there are no announcements for incoming trains people get hit pretty frequently (9/8 and 8/28).

This is a nice depot, ticket counter is open during business hours, covered, people are *mostly friendly here. Parking pass needs to be purchased at Berwyn City Hall for about $1 a day.

If you want to enjoy a bike ride in the city, drive your bike there. If you are thinking to bring it on the train, don't. They say in the website that you can bring it on off peak and weekends, but they truly will not accommodate you. They only allowed 3 bikes on a 60 foot train and turned the rest of us away. The staff was extremely unpleasant, made fun of customers for trying to load and then were left behind, and laughed as the train pulled away stranding us. TIP: Update your website so people (Even the poor old man with a trake helping him breathe) don't wind up stranded in 90 degree heat when the station is closed on the weekends...

This train station beats any commute most people I know who live in the city of Chicago deal with. It's about 20 minutes, depending on whether you get an express or not, and you always have a seat. The station is 2 blocks from my house. There is a nice heated indoor area to hang out in the winter, and the ticket lady is very friendly. By the way, I used to commute at the Rt. 59 train station where everyone would run over each other in the parking lot to fight for spaces, and then push people out of the way to get on the train first. That was the yuppie/anxiety corridor. Happy to be away from that. Berwyn is the best.

Its sad I have to give this station 2 stars! Lets start off by the rude, nonchalant ticket attendant at the window! Being my first time in the area I had no idea what I was doing, where to park or where the nearest garage was. I was at the station around 6:45am I asked the ticket attendant man If I can park along the streets. His answer "No". Thats all he said. I asked for a round trip to Union station he didn't even tell me my total like I was suppose to know?! Sorry im not a regular and I don't take public transit as much so excuse me for not knowing. The next day after getting the 411 from the regular commuters on where to park and where the nearest garage was I went up to purchase my tickets. He was holding a conversation with another man for a good 10mins and there I am standing behind him waiting to purchase my tickets. He seemed more interested in his conversation than helping out the commuters. I purchased my ticket not a thank you, hello, have a nice day, NADA! Im sorry maybe this is me but if your working with people you must have a good demeanor and interaction with someone. Your the first person they may see and the first impression you imprint on a person a day. This station gets 2 stars for the cold, non chalant, rude male ticket attendant.

Wonderful turn-of-the-century train station that was saved from demolition by the Berwyn Historical Society. It's not particular awe-inspiring, but since I live in Berwyn and I use the station nearly every weekday of the year, and I have an appreciation for historical building, and I belong to the Berwyn Historical Society and I do volunteer work for it....I could go on - I enjoy it. And I suppose this is supposed to be a Metra review to a degree - and I must say, I truly appreciate the fact that I can walk to the station in less than 10 minutes and get downtown with a 15-20 minutes train ride and another 10 minute walk to work....it SOOOOOO beats driving!!! While Metra has it's delays, they're generally not related to things that are under Metra's control, so in general, Metra ROCKS.
