The jibarito comes with rice and mayo ketchup. It took about 15 minutes to get my food. When I got the food, it wasn't hot. The steak in the sandwich was the least amount of steak they could have put in and on top of that, they gave me mostly fat. It was a chewy letdown. I am more than willing to try them again but will not try their carne asada jibarito. The mayo ketchup was also very spicy so I don't think it's a traditional, that is something to watch out for....

The food here is ALWAYS soooo good! Every time I come here I always get the best service. I loveeee getting the verde enchiladas or bistec and let me tell youuu 10/10 RECOMMEND!!!! By far my favorite restaurant to go to in Berwyn!!

The service was not all that great. The person who is taking care of me, was on their cell, phone, the majority of the time, and then proceeded to touch my food. I was not too happy about that but the food was OK. I would probably rate it a three out of five.

I know I've lived in Chicago for more than a decade now, all told, but I'd never had a jibarrito and frankly the idea sounded a little implausible. ("Yes, Brain, but why would somebody make a sandwich out of plantains?") But that is what they are famous for, I was nearby, and I figured I would try it. It's good! Just like you'd hope, the fried plantain slices are substantial enough to hold the meat and fillings without getting soggy, yet soft enough to make the sandwich reasonably tractable. I would have liked less mayo, but I understand that it's highly traditional. And somehow the slices weren't too greasy either. I still don't entirely *understand* it, but I would eat one again.

Even though the serving sizes have decreased some compared to before, the food is still cheap and most importantly, good!! They have Latin American food, mainly Mexican, Puerto Rican and Cuban and the menu is not so big but the food is very good and fairly priced.

While we at work have not eaten out in a while, my birthday was in January so we wanted to do a little something for the occasion. We called an order in and brought it back to work. We ordered the jibaritos which were AMAZING! We have never had a bad experience here. We have also dined in - it is usually not crowded during lunch on weekdays. I have tried various items from the menu such as empanadas and even just rice / beans and sweet plantains. Everything is cooked to order and delicious.

Best arroz con gandules and the best chicken empanadas. If you're in a hurry call ahead because they do take some time to prepare the food. They're very generous with their servings and it's such a friendly place to experience.
