Surprisingly exceeded my expectations big time! I've been in the Berwyn area for many years & have always wanted to try this place & I'm glad I finally did. Their Pad Thai was great & flavorful & everything I wanted in a bowl. No complaints on the entree and I even got the famous Korean Soda to go. The service was good & quick , so definitely no complaints on that end either. The entire experience was overall good & nothing out of this world. If you've never been, I would say definitely give it a try! Plenty of parking as well, did not have any issues on that front either. Also, to mention we went on a weekday during the day and it was pretty empty, unfortunately but I did not mind that at all. Personal Review: 7.8/10

Service was great. We got seated right away and the waitress gave us enough time to pick out what we wanted. The food came out fast and it tasted so much better than other sushi places I've been to. The restaurant itself is very clean and very nice. Definitely coming back.

Best fried rice ever. Sushi was great but the seaweed wraps were a little chewy. HUGE crab Rangoon. Literally the size of a fist. Pretty low key during the week. Gonna miss this place !!

Sushi is typical and ok, nothing special but their attitudes are bad, especially on their carry out side. They are not friendly, dry and combative with customers. I mean how hard is it to smile and greet customers as they enter your establishment? And say thank you after the transaction. The young lady with glasses and the young man who take orders are not friendly. Customer service is a very important part of any business. There are many Chinese and Sushi restaurants in the area so be appreciative that I choose to spend my money with you because until their attitude change I will not.

Had lunch here with my partner. The food was delicious & I'm a lucky eat so that says a lot! They had Chinese, Japanese, & Thai available! Our server was sweet & quick. She was able to answer any questions I had. The vibes were adorbs. It was so giving balanced feng shui. And the coolest part was the sushi chef makes all the sushi right in front of you!!

I had one of their new specialty sushi rolls called "Rock N Roll" and avocado smoothie. Both were great. The fried sushi roll had good flavors and it was also crunchy. The avocado smoothie was creamy and delicious. It was a big serving so I drank half of it and brought the rest home. The price was on the higher end, but it wasn't too crazy, considering its nice atmosphere and quality. Would re-visit when I need to get some cheap gas near this place again lol they have other kinds of Asian foods (Chinese, Thai, etc.) and I'm interested to try next time!

7-25-24 Server Jie LI Bill : 65041 My order to go total for $46.34 did not contain any hot mustard. I request only 1 hot mustard and was surprisingly denied. I was rudely told "if I want mustard I have to pay 50 cents for each one. According to the server "I don't care about the cost of your order and being a long time customer, mustard does not come with any order unless You must pay 50 cents for each mustard because the manager/owner Jason said so".

Strip mall/plaza sushi doesn't sound so appetizing out of context, but an exception could be made when Sushi Junki is the restaurant being talked about. On the outside it is a standard looking building, almost unnoticeable as you're driving down Roosevelt in Berwyn where it looks like it shares a wall with another Asian restaurant, but the 'Junki's' make up for it with a tasteful interior design in their dining area. Lots of options for seating that include tables for bigger parties, while having a nice selection for a dinner of 4. Love to have a sushi restaurant like this with the chefs preparing the rolls in the front of the house instead of the back. I catch myself watching them before and after my meal with awe as they are perfecting their craft, satisfying yet another grateful customer to a delectable and cultural experience. Any who, it's time to eat. Hold the phone, they don't just serve sushi here! This is practically a pan-Asian restaurant, serving up Thai dishes, Chinese dishes, Korean dishes, curry dishes, ramen, noodles, fried rice- all listed on one side of the menu, while the other is dedicated to the restaurant's pride and joyous rolls. You got your classic and signature rolls, the nigiri, and sashimi too. You can order them by the roll, or you can get a deluxe serving (for a larger party, I imagine) that neatly presents the sushi in a cute wooden boat or bridge (they may have other designs too, but those were the only ones I saw during my visit). This wasn't a sushi night for me, luckily I was impressed to see all of the other options they had on tap. Speaking of tap, they got a nice selection of beers, wine, liquor and sake; all very affordable too, especially the wine. Back to the food though, I was scouring their non-sushi menu trying to find something I never had before. It didn't take long until I discovered that they serve Korean chap chae noodles here, which is a very thin and almost cellophane-like type of noodles served with any protein option (beef, chicken, pork, etc). I got the beef, and the dish is served to feed two; it was that big! So, I was delighted to find something I've never seen in a restaurant before, and was equally as delighted to figure out that chap chae noodles rock! I mean, they were incredible and is something that I will keep my eye out for in future Korean/Pan-Asian restaurant excursions. So we got great quality foods here at Sushi Junki. Not just sushi. Alcohol available at the restaurant. Amazing prices too. ~$50 (tip included) for two people is NOT bad at all in my opinion. Very lowkey spot where not too many people are coming in to eat. It seems to be a great addition to the Berwyn area on a popular road. Get some sushi and judge for yourself on where it would rank among the greats in the Chicagoland area. Or try something new here like I did. Or get the curry, cause curry is delicious no matter where you get some. Stop on by and enjoy the meal.
