Got some pretty good drinks and mediocre food at this club. It certainly is better at certain times when you go. Tommy's Place is one of the popular hangouts in Blue Island. Better to go earlier if you want to save on admission. With the crappy cover prices it adds up and isn't worth it because it's often lame to be honest. Found out about it while looking for places around here to go. It's not a great area for certain so the options are limited. This was one of the few bars or restaurants we had not been to yet. Annoying things they have about it. They often charge a cover on the weekends. Go earlier and it can be avoided. It's about $6 to get a whole pitcher on Wednesdays. Choose a house liquor and add fruit juices. Pretty great value. We imagined the food would be worse. It's about $6 for chips and salsa, pretty basic. This turned out to be actually okay. Of course they have the kitchen closed most times so they usually won't even have anything. They also have the usual bar food like burgers and fries. Have to say it's not as bad as it could be. It's closed Mondays. They charge a cover later on the weekends.

They need more bartenders. The service is horrible. The bartender on 9/19/25 was a little off and maybe needed some help. Asked my order twice and still got it completely wrong after being sure to serve everyone around me first. Then gave someone else

Couple of months ago, I saw a man hoping over the fence attempting to escape the establishment from the back door. I said mmh "that doesn't look right". Therefore, I knew in my mind that this wasn't the place for me. The lounge's lay out appear to outdated. It was over due for a remodel 10 years ago. T A friends of mine wanted to go there. Sign said no cover charge but the bouncer said $5 each. The place was dead and empty. It appeared 5 people in the lounge. I wanted to go Raven located down the street. Free cover charge. The plus side is that it cater to mature crowd. The customer services was great. They aimed to please. The drink was good. However, for me the venue seem updated and not contemporary.

I haven't been here in years. I went with my friend and we sat at the bar. I always order Tito's on the rocks so you can't really get that wrong. My friend ordered an apple martini that she said she liked. The pizza was the highlight of the evening! I should have taken a pic. We didn't realize how big the pizza was so we literally was giving out pizza to strangers! It seriously is the best pizza I've tasted so far. I wish they were on Uber Eats! They had a dj that brought down the house! All I need for a good time is to keep the drinks flowing, the music popping, and the food hot, fresh, and tasty! And Tommy's Place did just that!

One Wednesday, I decided to venture out to the far, far, parts of the south suburbs. Yes, I had on my bullet proof vest. My reason for heading to Tommy's was to meet a group of friends that usually frequent the joint. Good enough reason for me! From what I was previously told, they never have a line, you just pay your ten bucks and walk in. Whelp, on this night there happened to be a line AND it happened to be one of the days in November where Chicago was deciding whether or not to transition to winter. It was a winter night. The security held the line outside for about 30 minutes for no reason what-so-ever. From those that frequent the place, they said its been much more packed than the night we were forced to stand outside. How dare they! I had on a little skirt! Other than that though, Tommy's was a cool spot. The best part about them are theur CHEAP drinks on Wednesdays; their drink specials are from $5-$7! I had to be brave and sashay to the bar and dare the waitress to give me something strong. Her suggestion was a drink similar to a "Blue Mother-*****" but with more of a punch. I asked how much and when she said $7, I said WHATTTT??!!! BRING IT! I got a nice sized PITCHER to drink. I guzzled down one because it was mixed so well the liquor was totally hidden. Big mistake. *cough* I had another one and midway though it, I felt it. Tipsier than that thang! Loved it! They also serve food. I nibbled from about four different plates of food from four different people and everything was surprisingly tasty. Not what I expected at all. Karaoke was the highlight of that night which made for a pretty energetic environment where everyone readily sang along to almost everything that was played. In between "singers," the D.J. would throw on music, turning the spot into a dance club for a few minutes. Dont worry, there is tons of space for it, so despite the crowd, you will never feel suffocated. Head on up there on a Wednesday, have a few drinks, and sing to whomever broke your heart over the weekend. #EatLiveDrink #WhoNeedsLoveWhenYouHaveFood

Great Urban Bar and club. On Wednesday nights they have Karaoke and weI never visit Chicago (From Detroit) without planning a trip there for karaoke night. Get there early as they fill up by about 11pm and they could double the 250 capacity if there was room! Have your legs streched and ready to dance as you'll be hip hoppin, booty droppin, and hot-body shoppin all night! The food is great, the drinks are priced to move and the dancers born to groove! I believe the Long Islands were $3!! Park in back but not next door where the failing shopping center suppliments their losses by towing cars all night! ($175 cash to get your car back) Expect club music and club songs so if your the stuffy oldies and slow R&B singers....well they'll still love ya but ya gotta dance! If ya sing slow stuff they'll pad the line-up with dance music so to keep the karaoke going just keep em dancing.

Hated this place and would never go back. I was having a birthday party and was assigned a space. People we didn't know tried to take our seats. The drinks were watered down. And the non welcome people wanted our food which I boxed up and put away. Security was no help. Never again.

I came to this place for the first time and ordered a drink for myself and my friend and it was not what we ordered they put a cheap liquor in place of the real vodka that we ordered.This is very sad for a business to switch out the liquor in the bottle especially when you are changing the price of the real liquor. I will be contacting the liquor commission to go check this place out.
