New fan of SRO here - they bring the energy and fun to your event... They played mu corporate event at AON Ballroom on the Navy Pier and we had a wonderful time. They played some funk, pop, 70s & 80s and some new stuff as well. I hit the dance floor when my m favorite ABBA song of all time - GIMME GIMME GIMME - came on. I didn't want to leave the dance floor but, sadly, had to head home for an early Sunday commitment. I wouldn't hesitate to hire SRO for any event where you want people to have fun and dance.

It is never easy and always nerve wrecking choosing a band (especially without seeing them ever in person), but we must tell you that you should have the utmost confidence when booking Standing Room Only. We booked them for our dream Chicago summer wedding at the University Club of Chicago and they exceeded our expectations. They sounded phenomenal, their set-list was perfect and they were the crowning piece to our unforgettable reception. So many people came up to us after the wedding that they had never seen a dance floor so packed throughout the entire 3 hour set which is all because of Standing Room Only's performance. Kara made this entire process so turnkey and she was there every step of the way in making us feel comfortable and confident for the MC and Band of the reception. Adjectives can't describe how happy we were with their performance as it was a night to remember. Some of their final songs were so incredible that some guests were still humming and singing the lyrics at brunch the next morning, including the epic Hey Jude rendition to end the evening. If you want a band for your wedding that you can depend on and that will have the people on their feet dancing the night away, Standing Room Only is the band for you. WOW - this band has it ALL! My husband and I wanted a band, but didn't budget to pay the typical 10K+ for the Chicago market. Thankfully Matt found SRO, who believes that good music should be affordable. Great price, great band! Not only do they sound fantastic, but easy to work with and read the crowd perfectly. People we on the dance floor ALL night. Can't say enough great things about this band!

I can honestly say that the band made our wedding a hit! Mike was so easy to work with, and was able to accommodate all requests. We had a live jazz guitar during the cocktail hour and the 7 piece band during the reception. The jazz guitar was very classy and perfect for cocktail hour! They also sang all of the songs that we requested from their playlist, and put them in an order that transitioned really well. Mike and the band also kept all aspects of the event on time, and did an awesome job with all of the announcements. Mike also went over all name pronunciations in advance, and it showed during the reception! We had so many guests comment during and after the event on how impressed they were by the band. Standing Room Only I recently had the pleasure of working with Kara and Standing Room Only for my wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at Danada House and would highly recommend their services. They provided excellent communication, great music and professional entertainment for our guest. Kara who is the main contact is not only knowledgeable, but an expert in the wedding and music industry. Kara helped plan our event from day one and was very detail oriented throughout the entire process . She understood our vision and helped that dream become a reality. Standing Room Only handled all the arrangements for sound equipment, coordinated with our caterer, and managed setup and tear-down, so that we were able to truly enjoy our event. On the day of our event her team successfully executed the plan with minimal guidance and offered outstanding entertainment that kept our 170+ guest on the dance floor all evening. Amazing amazing amazing wedding band! They truly made my wedding so special. I think almost every single one of my guest commented on how great they were! They kept people dancing, their covers of songs were truly phenomenal and they were simply just perfect. They were so fun and so entertaining. They played old songs and new songs and really were able to follow the crowd. Booking them was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding! I am really shocked they don't have a million reviews on yelp stating the same thing. In the beginning I kept going back and forth in between dj and band because I am not a huge music person. However I am sooo sooo soo happy I went with SRO. I told them about 5 songs we wanted to hear that night and from there they just read the crowd. Live music done right defiantly trumpts dJ!They also learned the song my husband and I wanted to dance to for the first dance and they really rocked it! I seriously have nothing but nice things to say about them and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an extraordinary wedding band.

A solid 5 stars to Standing Room Only! They recently performed at our wedding in downtown Chicago on 9/24/11. Mike and the entire band was AWESOME! The dance floor was packed the entire night. We've had countless guests tell us that the band was awesome, or the best band they'd ever seen! We checked out several well-known wedding bands prior to selecting SRO and no one compared. The energy SRO brings to an event is unmatched! The best part is...SRO was less expensive than many of the other bands we checked out, but they were much better. We couldn't have been happier with our selection of SRO. If you are looking to have a fun filled, high energy event you should definitely look into Standing Room Only Orchestra!!

Wow is all I can say! This band is absolutely amazing and we could not have been more impressed! The dance floor was packed from the moment the music started. We spent months looking for the perfect wedding band... and we found it. The least we could do is pass on a 5 star review for Mike and SRO, the best of the best. Their 9-piece band kept everyone on the dance floor for the entire 3-hour set at our wedding a few weeks ago! We had an April 2, 2011 wedding and reception at Prairie Productions in the West Loop (chicago). While the space is smaller, Standing Room Only came and set up and were ready to rock. We had them do a 7 piece set up and we could not have been happier with the sound. The male and female lead vocalists were absolutely awesome and the entire band did a great job. I didn't have a referral or anything, and based my hiring them on their website and weddingwire.com reviews. I have to say, there were no complaints and everyone couldn't believe how good they were. Lots of folks said they were one of the best bands they've ever heard. Thanks go out to Mike and SRO!
