Ambiance - massive space, fairly empty during lunch, modern/asian fusion vibe Service - servers greeted us right away and checked on us often, received our food fairly quickly after ordering Food - super generous with their cuts of fish (salmon nigiri was fresh and cold), dragon on fire roll (didn't really get the spicy at all, but shrimp tempura was super crispy)

I've never ordered sushi and not been given wasabi. Completely changed the flavor and experience for me. I did a carry out order before closing. There is an open shared parking lot. The rice was ok. 2.5/3 out of 5. Hopefully all your expected condiments are in the bag if you give them a try.

We were delivering an order nearby and decided to stop in and try this restaurant. When we first walked in the main door, there was a giant Buddha statue with lots of money piled high in his arms (see photo) When we opened the second door, we were greeted right away by the sweetest woman. We were seated asap! Our waiter put large ice waters on the table and I was so happy because I was very thirsty! We ordered the fried calamari for our appetizer and is was so delicious! There were mini rings (see photos) and some of the octopus looking pieces as well. All were very crispy / crunchy and none of them were rubbery! I definitely recommend this appetizer. I ordered the Miso Soup it was temperature hot and had lots of tofu and nori! I also ordered beef lettuce wraps (they are on the appetizer menu, but they were exactly what I was craving today! They were so good and the perfect lunch size portion and something I would definitely order again! I wish they gave me more lettuce but eating the left over meat with my chopsticks was also very delicious! Yummy! My husband ordered the Beef Pad Thai! It not only looked amazing it tasted amazing too! They say you eat with your eyes first... the shredded veggies looks so good and fresh! My husband said hewould definitely order this again! My order came out at-least 10 minutes before my husbands... I think because it was an appetizer. I waited for his food to come out before I ate. Will definitely come back when in the area! The dining room is decorated beautifully and the booth we sat in was very comfortable! This is a great place to take a date or important person because it is very impressive! There is a full bar (with blue lighting - see photos) when you first walk in and a couple of televisions placed well in the dining area as well. Out waiter was amazing he checked in on us often and even gave me a cup of ice water to go. Will be back for sure! Love the service with a smile!

Tuna Dumpling--this is a sushi lovers dream appetizer. Very flavorful and packed with ingredients so you actually eat it with a tiny fork. For $8 this is a must The Tom Yum soup blew me away. For $5 it's quite a hearty portion and I had 3 large shrimp in mine. Very rich flavor profile but the vegetables could have been a bit more tender. The only real disappointment was the Mexican roll. I don't like when rolls are so round, it's almost like they didn't roll the sushi tight enough and then it makes it difficult to eat. The flavor profile on this was also a bit lacking, I didn't get any heat in this and considering it's a spicy tuna with jalapeños as well. Overall this fell flat for me. The Cucumber-tini was ok, tasted a little watered down and sweet I think she put sprite in at the end to fill the glass which was odd. So I opted for hot sake for the second drink

Wonderful service here. I forgot our servers name but she was outstanding! My friend and I barely see each other so we try to meet once every few months. It was a pleasant experience, the food was delicious, the Dragon on Fire Roll was . It's worth a try, I definitely enjoyed my sushi with my Pear-tini!

A good place for quality sushi and more. Dao is among the best places in Burr Ridge. It has a pretty convenient location to get to. Has kind of an upscale feel. This actually is however pretty casual and the prices on sushi are hard to beat so you can load up and not lose a whole lot in the wallet. Good place for a sushi date. It feels pretty upscale but it's cheaper than it looks. That's why it's a favorite of cheapskates like me. Menu is full of sushi but there's also other items. Why not stick to what they're known for because they do it well. Of course you can also get drinks. These are more expensive than the actual sushi. I had the Fig Mule. It's $10, which is the worst part. This is made with fig infused vodka. It's lightly sweet and tastes like a fig. The sushi is why we came though. I got the AAC Roll and she had the Sweet Potato Tempura Roll. It's $5 for most rolls. The one I ordered has asparagus, avocados, and cucumbers and was quite a lot for what they charge you. Also they have other menu items. These are typically more expensive than any rolls. Get sushi cheap. It has a convenient location off Interstate 55 at the Burr Ridge exit. This is in the big shopping center a ways back so it can be hard to find if you aren't sure where.

We have been going here for more than 10 years, we only ever get the hibachi, the chef is excellent. The show is excellent and the food is consistently better than the other major chain option in this food style. They recently added noodles to the hibachi freebies, we be had steak, chicken, shrimp. You can't really go wrong! Be sure to make a reservation first!

Traveling for work and thought I'd check this place out since it was a quick drive from my hotel. I had some reservations about my service after reading some reviews but seeing as how the food was good, I figured it was worth the risk. The restaurant is refreshingly clean. There was only one server, Joe, who was amazing. He was very attentive and polite. His service came off very genuine. He had excellent attention to detail on specific requests to my order and made sure I never felt like I was being rushed off. I wish I lived closer to make this a regular spot. So long as there were more Joe's there.

My family and I have been going to Dao Sushi for 5+ years. We have never had any issues or complaints about the food or the service. Every time we go we have an amazing time and leave in a food coma. This time around things were very different. The service we received this night did not serve very well. Some of our party did not receive any cups of water, we had to get up and ask other waiters for things because we could not find ours. My husband had to wait in front to find utensils for our party after dinner was already served. All of our empty plates did not get removed from the table. It was so bad we had to move our empty dishes to another table and our drinks were never refilled until we asked. I definitely wish we would have made our reservations for a different night or had a different server. Dao Sushi is not a cheap restaurant but she definitely made it feel like we were in one.
