The staff is rude. I ordered a Vienna beef polish that according to their website, comes with grilled onions and mustard. I received a Chicago style polish with relish, and raw onions instead and was told Vienna is just the name of the polish. Instead of trying to rectify, I was sent away. I will never spend another red cent with them folks. Besides, the food isn't nearly as good as it used to be. Furthermore, anybody asks me about dillingers, it will definitely be a negative review. Carry on.

During or after C-19 the fries I loved changed. They're chalkier and harder. I enjoy having a 'freshly cooked burger's with grilled onions, mustard and catsup BUT here they are very 'greasy' and the bun doesnt hold up. So far their hot dogs are great, as are their Chili Dogs when the Chili is put on top. Their bowl of chili is great. I must add that they have a large menu but I haven't purchased all. I don't buy beverages or shakes as I have this at home, and I "do not" in the car.

This business opened up shortly after I moved on the border of Calumet Park, so we have a long history. I've ordered from the older owners who both have now turned it over to a younger sibling/family member. It seems that the two years of Covid-19 affected many businesses, most of whom did not survive, but this one has; however, one main thing I enjoyed here was their 2 Dillinger Dogs w/fries or Chili Dog with fries; however a 'new french fry' is on the menu and it lacks the texture of the previous so I'm not there as often as in my past ~45 years. Other than that, I see no other change. I cant speak to beverages, sodas, etc. as I never drink those, but hear others say nthey are great.

I've been a happy patron since 1987. Today, I waited on the phone to place an order soo long that I hung up and called back three times! Bad sign. I asked if this was the original owners who would never leave you hanging on the phone. I picked up my order, hard cold fries, burnt turkey burger. They're celebrating forty yrs in the business. The owner needs to relieve those workers from today 11/26/2023 and bring his establishment back up to the high standards he's always had. Disappointed!!

Grew up eating Dillingers and food was always fresh. The food is now starting to be trash. They are serving old fries, overcooked dogs, greasy undone pizza puffs and burnt chop steaks; these are the things I have always eaten from them. The quality of the food is no longer the best. You can tell they are not changing the grease regularly.

A classic greasy spoon, perfect just the way it is. Loved the fries-- super crispy! Strawberry shake is best I've had with real bits of strawberries in every sip. Good gyros sliced super thin. The burger meat for the patty melt though was pretty atrocious. It was pounded to death and kind of thin and dense like a White Castle patty. Not crumbly, just tough. Despite that, it was cooked really well on the flattop and assembled nicely. Can't wait to go back and try some other things. It's absolutely worth checking out.

Food is great! It's an old Chicago classic place to visit. This time my experience with customer service was not too great! I ordered something that the cashier, (a black guy) didn't know what it was. Instead of saying, "o, I'm not sure what that is let me ask!" He turned his nose up at me and said very Rudely, "A WHAT?" The other guy had to take over and explain to him. He was just so rude and never said o ok ma'am I know now, I apologize or anything. He was rude the entire time I was in there. If the other guy didn't step in with such niceness I would've taken my money and left. I was ordering a fairly large order, so it would've been a nice chunk missing.

I don't know what happened. It's been a while. This once upon a time treat on 127th Street has lost its flavor. We used to come here regularly, as a treat from the usual burgers and fries, recommended by a family friend who hipped us to it over 20 years ago. The Italian combo with a side of cheese fries was our traditional go-to order. But this most recent trip put us in a trick bag. The sausage was a series of smaller overcooked meat portions arranged to fit in the bun. The beef didn't merit mention. Dipping it, drowning it with cheese sauce, adding chunks of green pepper could not disguise the fact that something was amiss. Add on the almost $25 cost for two orders pretty much sealed the deal. Baby, bye! COVID recovery and inflation has ruined the joy of good tasty food everywhere. Money and time wasted, again. Daggone it.

In an attempt to call ahead to place my order, they answered the phone but immediately put me on hold, they never picked back up. The place has ample parking but the area to place an order could only hold about 4-5 ppl. Saturday night was very busy but luckily the cooks are very fast. I ordered both a Turkey melt and chicken Philly. The chicken Philly smelt and looked delightful however it substantially lacked flavor. The Turkey melt was tasty but made w regular sandwich bread and a small piece of breast. Neither item came with a soda, both slightly over priced $18 total.
