Went to watch the Lilo & Stitch movie. Expected huge crowds but it was pretty empty. It was walking distance from the hotel so why not? These seats were so sift and comfortable, I thought I was going to fall asleep. Heck, with a half hour's worth of previews, you could actually do it. The 5 yo discovered that you could heat or make the seats cool if you wanted. This theatre also has a bar which seems to be the norm these days. LUCKY STRIKE BOWLING also resides in this 3 story complex.

Not a huge deal, but still annoying. I ordered ahead, just some food to enjoy with my girl while watching My Neighbor Totoro. I picked Nacho Chicken and Mozzarella Sticks through the app. Simple. Two items. What I got? Two Nacho Chicken, zero Mozzarella Sticks. Again, not the end of the world, but seriously , it's two lines. How hard is it to read that right?

Cool AMC we went to rest and watch a movie after exploring the city. The "laser" theater we saw our movie in was fully modern with not only the reclining seats, but also had heating for my sore back which was an unusual and welcome surprise. The quality of the movie projection was outstanding and the sound was comparable to AMC Dolby.

Great movie theater! It's always clean and the seats always work. The food is overpriced like every other theater, but that's nothing new. They show all the new movies, but I wish they've give international movies better timings. Showing 2 shows at 10am and 10pm for a 2.5-3 hour movie is just unreasonable. I'm sure you'd get a lot more people to come see them with normal showtimes.

This is another nice theatre in the AMC chain in the River East area. You take escalators or the elevator up and the tickets counter is on the first level with the concessions, guest services and restrooms on the second level. They have big comfortable reclining seats and restrooms conveniently located at both ends. Parking can be pricey if you drive, but it is downtown. I use an app and park in a garage around the corner for less. There are nice restaurants in the area if you go out to eat before or after.

Awesome seating. I could fall asleep in those recliners. Too bad our experience was slightly soured by staff. I tried to give lost keys to the person checking tickets who refused to take them and made me go two levels back up to customer service. When I got there, there was no one even there...

Four of us dropped in for a movie. I was not in charge of anything other than sitting down and enjoying myself, which I did. I didn't buy concessions, but others did. I can't speak to the purchasing process, but the items purchased were standard theatre fare. I was so impressed with the seating. We were not in a section that gets wait service, but I couldn't tell that by our seats. They reclined, they had a footrest, they were comfortable. So comfortable, in fact, that two of the four of us (not me) fell asleep during the movie! Many months later we were at an AMC in Newport, KY and had a very different experience. We live in Cincinnati and we're not driving to Chicago to see a movie, but if we lived nearby we might actually go to more movies at AMC River East 21. It was like watching a movie in our living room.

It's a theater with a good selection of movies and they post showtimes ahead of other locations which helps with planning. The seats are comfortable and have heat/recline options, but I did find row H to be too high in my theater, almost akin to an upper deck sports stadium seat where you look down on the action. Bathrooms smelled bad and had water all over the floor. Seemed to be enough staff but didn't go for snacks and avoided the box office after buying tickets online. It got the job done but I prefer the location on Michigan Ave.

I recently watched "It ends with us" in this AMC and I must say the experience was good. You can buy ticket online or through the Amc app. As you enter, you have to take the elevators up to where your tickets are checked in. From there you take the elevator up to the audi levels. Sometimes they ask for your ids too. There is a separate queue for A listers. You can get a combo of large popcorn and beverage in the price of medium if you are an A-lister. I was so excited for the movie, I ended booking the second row as all shows were fully booked. I absolutely loved the recliners, they are were comfortable, huge, has a heating panel. I had a good experience watching a movie here.
