The owner was extremely sweet and accommodating to my party. On top of that the drinks were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!

We were excited to try this new-ish place in our neighborhood. Went there for brunch on a Sunday. Got some coffee drinks, potatoes, and breakfast sandwiches. I'm sorry to have to say this was one of the worst restaurants I've been to in a long time. My drink wasn't made properly (almost totally different from the description on the menu), and the sandwiches were so bad I literally spit out my first bite of my turkey sausage egg and cheese sandwich and threw the rest away. The menu showed turkey sausage patty in the sandwich but mine had a few sliced up pieces of breakfast sausage links, the english muffin was very greasy, and the egg and spinach were covered in grease. My partner ordered the turkey croissant sandwich and the turkey was dried out/crunchy in some parts and parts of the croissant were burnt. The potatoes were very bland and some of them tasted sour. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and it was out of soap (it was before noon by the way), the hand dryer was broken (there was literally a part of it hanging out the bottom and the part was very dirty/old looking, there were splatters in the toilet, and there were food bits all in the sink as if someone had eaten then rinsed out their mouth in the sink. I'm so annoyed that I spend almost $50 for myself and my partner and we basically had to throw everything out. If I could've asked for a full refund of my entire order I would have.

We swung by Around the World Coffee on a random weekday. This coffee shop is open relatively late unlike most coffee shops, so that's a plus. The place was relatively empty. There are about 20-30 seats. The tables are a mix of high tops, low tops and individual working stations which make it easy for someone to work from this coffee shop. The noise levels are low except for the occasional coffee machine noises whenever the barista gets a new order. The ordering system is via a kiosk and the barista announces your coffee order once it's ready. This space shares its door with a juice shop so I was confused at first if I entered the right space. We ordered the tiramisu latte and the chai latte. They were both decent but the tiramisu latte tasted nothing like a tiramisu. The coffee mugs they came in were a bit off. Seemed like someone had given us a couple cups from the back of their cabinet that they haven't used in a long time. Overall, this is a new coffee shop and I don't think a lot of people know about it. It's a decent place to work. Taking two stars off because the coffee wasn't great and the ambience is a bit basic.

Cute new place in River North!! It's attached to a smoothie place and it was easy to order from the QR code so they bring the food out for you. I went with a group and some of us ordered the same flights but they tasted slightly different for some reason so maybe depends on who makes them. My favorite was the tiramisu latte and I got everything with oat milk. The sauce in the breakfast bowl was really good and love that there menu is huge for breakfast, lunch and dinner items! Except a little on the expensive side. I would come back though.

As someone who enjoys sweet coffee drinks / lattes, I found their latte to be overwhelmingly sweet. I ordered the tiramisu latte and I could only taste the chocolate syrup. While the staff was kind enough to remake the latte with less chocolate syrup, the latte remained very sweet from the other ingredients (?). It was very difficult to pick up any espresso from the drink overall. Definitely tasted closer to a hot chocolate than a latte.

I was a little hesitant to try this place based on some of the reviews but I gave it a go anyway. I can only speak from my personal experience and that was a great one. The employees were all very kind and helpful, my coffee came out quick and tasted delicious and my breakfast sandwich was amazing. I highly recommend adding the spicy strawberry jam to the breakfast sandwich. Yum! I will be back!
