They don't even deserve a star! The worse rental company i have ever delt with... a bunch of liars and crooks. Do not sign anything without looking at your detailed bill. (That was my fault for trusting people) They charged me an extra $100 for insurance without even telling me when i tried to call and ask to a supervisor they kept saying a supervisor is in a meeting. I have never written a review about any company before. I did this so you are all aware that they are scamming people. Be careful! and DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!! Consider this a warning!

This place is horrible. Don't let the cheap rates be why you come here. The customer service sucks. I reserved a certain car and they wanted to put me in something not comparable to what I reserved. When I got there to the rental car location, they didn't care that I was being inconvenienced. No apologies, or offer to make me, the customer, happy. I was told they had only one vehicle left. How is that possible? It's a rental car place with no cars!? If I could give this place NO STARS, I would. Completely awful.

This was definitely the worst experience renting a car (passenger van), I made a reservation for December 24 two months before, after looking for prices I decided to give it a try, I had always rent with enterprise and Budget (Enterprise my favorite) and never had issues with them, the reason I rent with AVR was because they were like $150 dollars cheaper for the entire time, so I was excited because I was expecting to get a nice van like the one they advertise (Ford Transit XL 350 12 passengers) instead I got an old 2015 Chevy Expresss with 88,000 miles on it. I told the rude lady on the front desk that I was told to get the newest van and she told me "hell no, those are only for shuttle" I was very upset but I was in a rush so decided not to make a big deal, when I start driving the van I noticed all of the problems the van had, 1. One of the seat rows was missing. 2. Brakes were making a really bad noise, they were literally metal to metal. 3. The van was given to me with the two rear tires with half of the regular pressure. 4. Two of the seatbelts were not working. 5. All of the cup holders were broken. 6. The driver windshield wiper was falling apart. 7. Windshield wiper fluid was frozen, that mean they put water instead of the regular fluid. 8. Van was so noisy that the entire trip we couldn't talk inside. 9. When you book the van they tell you "unlimited miles" but they only give you 250 per day, all of the extra miles you have to pay them. So at the end of the day if you don't wanna go thru all of the problems that I had don't rent from this scams, make your self a favor and don't even try, don't put your family in risk by putting them in those old vans just because you think you are saving money, no you are not, you are gaining a lot of problems and being worried for the entire time of your trip, you won't even enjoy your vacations just thinking what can happen to you in the middle of nowhere. I hope this place is shut down nobody will give them business!!!

This van rental place was great. I was hesitant because of the other bad reviews, but the price was really good, and I figured that most times places have bad reviews, there are plenty of good experiences that are happening, people are just not going back to Yelp to write about them. I rented a mini van for a week. Pick up and drop off were easy and quick. The van was in great condition, and the whole thing was seamless. Would definitely look here to rent again.

Filthy dirty and deceptive!!. My wife and I arranged for the rental of a 15 passenger van with AVR two months in advance. We were promised a newer Ford transit van just like the van they promote on line. This was a concern of ours as we have three young children traveling with us including a baby. They advertise this van to draw you in apparently. When we arrived they pulled out a dirty 3 yr. old Chevy van with 80,000 miles on it coupled with filthy carpeting and two torn seats that I would not allow my dog to sit on. The attendant insisted the Ford transit vans are only used to shuttle airport passengers. Crap! This was a most frustrating experience. They are shady, deceptive and truly need to have their doors shut for unethical practices. The manager was not available to talk and they offered no apology.

Very friendly service and in and out experience. I was referred to this place from a friend who works at midway and i wasn't disappointed. I checked prices at Alamo with a employee discount and this place was will cheaper so i rented a suv for a quick weekend getaway to Wisconsin. This place specializes only in suv and vans so i wouldn't recommend them for a smaller car. I didn't get hit with a bunch of fees it wasn't a hassle to get the car or return it so i will definitely be back

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!! Where do I begin with this place? Let's start with the woman at the counter. Rude and difficult. I rented a 15 passenger van and then was given a 12 passenger van. Not the same thing. Whatever, no big deal. The real issue was the mechanical malfunctions on this vehicle they gave us. Starting with the scraping of the brakes. Obviously the pads needed to be replaced. God forbid, I'd need to stop quickly. The whole vehicle began to shake violently. The left rear tire was not full and I had to fill it twice and the dashboard warning continued to say that it wasn't full. The temperature dial for the heater in the rear of the vehicle just turned forever and eventually just fell off as we were driving along. Now to the real crux of the problem. The transmission on this vehicle was clearly failing. The van they gave us had 80,000 miles on it. Quite a lot for a rental vehicle. I kept getting warning signs that the van was overheating, going into low power mode and that I needed to service the engine. I dropped off my now terrified clients at their hotel in Milwaukee and had to figure out a way to get this defective vehicle back to Chicago. I tried their customer service department and couldn't get through to anyone, nor did anyone return my calls. I was forced to drive this dying vehicle back to Chicago during a pretty hectic traffic jam scared out of my wits that the thing was going to catch on fire. By some miracle, I made it back and dropped off the van. When I called customer service the following day, I was told that a manager would call me back to help me resolve the issue. No call, nothing. I had another reservation with them for the following weekend but I went ahead and cancelled it and paid extra to rent from a brand with a more reputable name. I booked this van through priceline and the price couldn't be beat but obviously I should have checked the yelp reviews beforehand because this place is a joke. It's sad for them because I could have given them a lot of business in the coming months but when you treat your customers rudely and offer defective equipment, eventually your business is going to fail. If I could give them zero stars. I would.

One is given a van that is supposed to be top upgrade. Power outlet and Bluetooth don't work. I managed to fix them. I was not given a credit for the cost of repair. This is the second time I am getting ripped off by AVR. Never use this rental again. Bright

This is going to be my first choice when ever I will need to rent a car. AVR is not only the cheapest but have a very friendly staff. I booked as a local customer and was told in advance about about 250 miles per day limit. I am not sure why so many people are putting negative reviews for their mileage but they have it on the websites and at least 4 signs on their counter that no one can miss it. They inform you in advance about the mileage for local residents and then it's your choice to go with them or rent somewhere else. A very nice and welcoming place with cheapest rates always. I always try to support local and small businesses as long as they do the right business and AVR passed that test.
