There aren't a lot of places in Chicago to run in and grab a quick bite and do some shopping at the same time. Bodega Bay, thankfully, is one of those places. It's located at the six corners area at the intersection of North/Milwaukee/Damen. They have a deli counter that is making some amazing sandwiches. When I went, I tried their Cuban sandwich, new smash burger and fries and a S.E.C break sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese, with chipotle gourmaise spread. I enjoyed all of them, but the smash burger was may favorite. It's a great value at $14.99, including fries. They also have some other great values. I got a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice in a covered mason jar and a breakfast bagel for only $9.99, and you get to keep the mason jar it comes in. The ambiance is that of small supermarket. While this not the kind of place you can do a full shopping in, but you can grab a few essentials and they have a huge drink selection, including alcohol at a great value.

I was really looking forward to trying their breakfast bagel but it was okay and unfortunately kind of dry. I got the bacon, egg, and cheese with chipotle sauce on an everything bagel. The bagel was a little too toasted so that it was dry, and the sauce was not distributed evenly, so that it was only on one part of the side of the bagel and the rest was stuck to the paper packaging when I opened it. The egg was good and the cheese was cheesy, but altogether it didn't have much flavor, which may have been due to the uneven sauce distribution. It may have been an off day, especially with the good reviews. But I'm not sure if I'll be back for the bagel sandwich. Maybe I'll try the other sandwiches or their burger next time. The bodega space itself is bright and clean and has some counter seating facing the window to the street. It's a nice people- watching location, and conveniently located right at the Damen blue line and lots of bus stops.

As the name implies it's a small, catch-all mart. Snacks, drinks, alcohol, foodstuffs and sandwiches. That alone gives them four stars. They offer a decent selection of breakfast sandwiches, subs, paninis, soups and smash burgers. Note, subs and paninis are made with sub bread only. Toasted sandwiches means pressed. With that said there's little difference between a hot sub & panini. Less ingredients but stiff bread. Either way hard to hold in hand and eat without dropping key ingredients. Sandwiches in general are a three star offering. I'd grab a cold sub if grabbing to go in the future.

Good subs, nothing too special but good. They have a pretty average sub menu, but they do have a breakfast burrito and bagels. I got the Ham and Cheese sub it was good, nice lettuce, tomato, and the bread didn't seem fresh, likely it was bought not baked. I was looking for something a little more artisanal. This place does have a lot of snack options, no coffee, and beer / wine. When we got here in a Sunday during the Wicker Park Farmers Market there was 1 person in front of us. We ordered 3 items at the counter, it took about 15-20 minutes of waiting to get the three sandwiches. While waiting only a few people came through. It definitely is a good sandwich shop but I am not sure it's popular. They have a few seats to sit in. Definitely a take out type place.

Really good sandwich. Surprisingly good if I'm honest. Sometimes I find myself just really wanting a deli sandwich and Bodega Bay popped up amidst my searches for sandwiches in Chicago. So glad it did. Loved the italian sub I got. Full of flavor, tons of deli meat, tasted really fresh and was well put together. Some of the other sandwiches looked great too. Can't wait to try the buffalo chicken sandwich next. My wife loved her sandwich too. Also got the tomato soup which was a well done classic example of a tomato soup. Can't wait to get Bodega Bay again!

I've been here to grab a gallon of water before but today I ventured out and got their breakfast sandwich with some fresh squeezed orange juice. Everything bagel, bacon, egg, & cheese with chipotle sauce on the side- It was amazing! I ended up putting the sauce on it because it was spicy and more chipotle than anything else. The man who was working was super sweet and very helpful! My brother & I ate our breakfast sandwiches at the counter along the window- good music & ambiance. Overall great experience and will definitely be back to try out some other items!

When staying at The Robey, Bodega Bay is just a stone's throw away. Bodega Bay offers up some tasty, hand made sandwiches. They've got a ton of options on their menu and the sandwich masters put together delicious creations. First, this place is cute and clean. They've have a respectable selection of drinks, alcohol and snacks to supplement your sandwich selection. On top of selection, they have wonderful, pleasant folks working there. We enjoyed everything about Bodega Bay so much we picked up sandwiches twice while we were in town. I believe we ordered the Beluga and the Italian. The bread was fresh as was everything else on the sandwiches. We will be back at The Robey in October and we'll definitely make a stop at Bodega Bay.

Cozy little bodega on a busy intersection. Just about what you expect, great store for a quick pick me up snack or drinks, coffee etc. They have a great breakfast and sandwich menu, reasonably priced. They get their bagels from New York bagel and bialy so their sandwiches are an upgrade from other shops, in my opinion. Staff are friendly as well!

Coming back later to write a review on this because I can't stop thinking about it. I went here because I needed to finish off my doordash giftcard before I went to the airport. Such a good sandwich. And it's inside a bodega. So great. Not much to say about the inside but it's a nice bodega.
