We had our wedding at City View Loft in August 2020 and we could not recommend the venue more! Because of the pandemic, we had to make many changes but working with Jamie made everything easy and stress free. She was extremely patient and worked with us as we went back and forth trying to make decisions throughout the months leading up to August. She responded quickly to all our questions and always had a bright and positive attitude, which we really appreciated during that time. Jamie was even able to allow us to come the day before to decorate since there were no events going on. Working with Jamie made the venue that much more special to us! The venue itself is beautiful. All the photos came out stunning and beautiful. We had our ceremony and cocktail hour downstairs in Kitchen Chicago and dinner upstairs. Both areas are beautiful and very photogenic. The view of the city from the upstairs windows is breathtaking and a perfect backdrop for photos. The food was amazing as well. Our friends still talk about how the food was so delicious and a few of our friends have even tried to recreate the salad. The cake was done by Sophie at Vanille. She was amazing to work with as well. We walked into our consultation completely clueless and Sophie guided us to our dream cake! It was beautiful! Overall we're so happy we went with City View Lofts! We appreciated the professionalism and positive attitude of every staff and vendor that served us. It was not the wedding we originally envisioned when we booked the venue last year (pre-pandemic), but it was better than we could have imagined and turned out to be a memorable day we will never forget. We're so grateful to CVL, all of their staff, and the owners for working with us and being flexible during the pandemic to make this all possible and done safely. We've heard so many awful stories of friends being swindled out of their deposits and/or being strong-armed by the venues they've booked with. If you're cautious about booking with a vendor due to trust, please know that Jamie and CVL will take care of you and will work with you as they've done with us.

We chose CVL for our wedding reception on 8/31/19 (Kitchen Chicago for our ceremony). Although the building itself was a little hard to find at first and not in the most glamorous looking area, we knew it was the venue for us after seeing the open space, exposed brick, and beautiful view of the Chicago skyline. It's also reasonably priced compared to other venues we looked at in the city, flexible with vendors as long as they are insured, and did I mention they offer a BYOB option? :) Jamie Bacon was the cherry on top of it all, she was so easy to work with. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and accommodating - everything you could ask for when planning something as big (read: stressful) as a wedding! The communication we had from our initial walk-through to the big day was prompt, and Jamie patiently answered each one of my questions no matter how small. Here are my top 3 takeaways from our wedding day: 1. One of my family members forgot the teapot AND tea for our tea ceremony. Jamie was quick to act, and offered tea and a pitcher in a pinch. 2. Food catered from LM Catering was amazing. We had multiple guests come up to us during the reception to let us know. 3. Staff was incredibly attentive. Appetizers were served to my husband and me immediately in our private room after the wedding ceremony. The same attendant made sure we were well fed and hydrated throughout the night too - such a thoughtful detail, considering lots of brides and grooms forget/get too busy to eat. You won't regret booking with CVL for your event! Everyone had a great time and we're thrilled with how smoothly everything turned out.

We selected City View Loft/ Kitchen Chicago for our wedding on 11/17/18, and it was the absolute best decision we could have made! When searching for a venue, we immediately decided to book after the initial walkthrough. The space is modern, urban, open and airy. Upstairs has an incredible view of the cityscape! The entire team we worked with was incredibly accommodating. All chairs, tables and tea light candles were included. We were able to drop off our stuff prior to the wedding a day early, which was so helpful! The food (LM Catering) was incredible as well. We are still getting complements on how amazing the meal was. We received so many compliments from our guests about how amazing the space is and how perfect it was for the entire wedding. The team worked seamlessly with all of our vendors, and if there were any issues, our guests and we had no idea! A huge thanks to Gabi for helping us throughout the wedding planning process. CVL was a perfect choice for our June 29th wedding. Everything from the food (LM Catering), to the staff (shout out to Jamie and Gabi) and the gorgeous city views made our day exceed expectations. My husband and I highly recommend the venue to anyone that is looking for a unique, re-purposed space with tons of history and an urban vibe. The elevators can be a bit slow, but is understandable for a building of this age. Additionally, there are two bathrooms on each floor, but wasn't a problem with our smaller wedding of 100 people. I had the extreme pleasure of attending a wedding here this past Firday. Awesome, small but intimate space with a knockout view of the Chicago skyline from a west side perspective. Only strange thing is the elevator can move pretty slow I would definitely recommend this space to anyone that wants to have a small, intimate wedding.

My husband and I were married here on January 12, 2018. Our day was nothing less than magical and it is all thanks to the hard work and dedication of the staff. Gabi and Jamie were the most wonderful, and thorough guides to what could have been a confusing and difficult process-wedding planning is no joke! Throughout wedding day, Gabi made sure to come up to me on several occasions just to ask if I needed anything. I can't tell you how much that meant to me. Aside from their amazing guidance, the LM Catering staff is outstanding. They are thoughtful, attentive, and passionate about their work. Every aspect of our wedding day was seamless, I can't speak enough about the staff. On top of that our food was amazing! If you choose to have your wedding here you will not be disappointed.

We were married at City View Loft on August 31, 2018. I always wanted to have a destination wedding and since my husband is originally from one of my favorite cities, Chicago, we decided to have our wedding there. I am not the kind of woman who had every detail of my wedding mapped out but I knew I wanted a venue that reflected our sensibilities. City View Loft was exactly what I envisioned because it was the perfect mix of cool, urban, sophistication and even without decor, it's such a bright and beautiful space. We had our ceremony and reception there which made everything so manageable and allowed us more time to spend with our family and friends, many of whom flew in from out of town. Jamie and Gabi were wonderful to work with from the very beginning. They are knowledgeable, responsive, and clearly well-regarded by the vendors they partner with; they truly made our wedding planning process easier to navigate. I made what could have been a critical error related to my flowers and decor. This was completely my fault but they worked with our event designer and our amazing wedding coordinator to bring everything together less than two days before the wedding. I am eternally grateful for all that they did to make our day so incredibly special for us and our guests. On a practical note, we found City View Loft to be reasonably priced considering the quality of the food (it was delicious) their exceptional team and staff, and the sheer loveliness of the space. I am still marveling at how everything came together so beautifully.

We had both our ceremony and reception at City View. I cannot begin to describe how happy we were with our experience! Jamie was amazing to work with, she was attentive, fast to respond to my many emails and always had an answer. We had numerous compliments from our out-of-town guests about how unique and pretty the venue was. It also has a beautiful skyline view of the city! I loved being able to have the ceremony downstairs and just go up a few stairs to the reception. Our guests were beyond impressed. The staff were friendly and respectful, attentive and all around a pleasure to work with. Honestly can't say anything negative about our experience - if you have a guest list under 200 this is definitely a venue to consider!
