This place has been in hyde park since I was young. Purchased some nice pieces from local Chicago artists and wanted to really display them nicely in my home. I came in and was greeted and assisted right away. I didn't catch the ladies name but she really helped zone in on a frame that fit the picture and the look I wanted. Although, a nice frame is a bit pricey they have options for all. Even got some marvel posters matted to hang up. Thanks!

My experience with Mark was exceptional. He was one of the few shops in the area that could get a quick turnaround for me. Its good to see someone so passionate about their trade and thankful for the opportunity to do business here! Will be back again for sure.

The Great Frame Up in Hyde Park use to be a good business. I would usually take my art posters there to be framed. That's now a thing of the past. I took in 4 posters to be framed for a man cave. The owner was very polite and stated that the posters would be ready in a week. I gave this man 10 days and I came to pick the posters up. When I arrived to pick the posters up, I was informed by one of his workers that the posters were not ready and he didn't even know when the posters would be ready. He just had a blank stare about him. Finally the owner came from the back of the store and informed me that the posters would be ready in 4 days. I wanted to take my posters back back but I then calmed down because I had already paid for the work. Bad choice on my behalf. In the future, I would never recommend this establishment for anyone. Very bad customer service.

I had a recent, great experience with this store. The woman who helped me had a great sense of style, was mindful of value and went an extra step to help me out. It's not cheap and it did take a bit of time over the holidays, but I was very pleased with the results.

Yeah, this place is just okay, but the work is spotty. Sometimes they do a fine job, but other times I've had to take something back twice to get it right. Taking it back once is too many times, IMO. The staff is nice, and the materials are good, but I shouldn't have to come back twice to get something right. That's what their supposedly professional eye is there to prevent. It's the only game in town in Hyde Park as far as I know, so that's what we're stuck with. They keep decent hours 7-days a week, so that's a plus.

Hate to do this to a business, but the property management booted my car and it cost $170 to leave, even after I visited a business in the commons. While I was waiting, they booted several other cars as well. This is no way to manage property to draw customers in. Drove me away and I won't be back. I have some frame project I need to shop around too, but I will not be going here based on the property management.

I have been to this location three times now and each time had great customer service & a wonderful finished product. I have had work framed elsewhere with either inferior results or at twice a price for the same result. I will keep coming back to this location as long as I live in Chicago.
