Great atmosphere and vibe! The live music was a fantastic touch--the musician performed beautifully as I enjoyed my meal and drink. We started with the BBQ Nachos, topped with brisket--absolutely amazing. The chips were thin, crisp, and perfectly layered with flavor. I followed that with the BBQ ribs, served with fries, coleslaw, and pickles on the side. Everything was delish! A special thanks to the manager, Cassidy, for stopping by to check in and make sure everything was going well. It was a great experience all around!

We went to a merchandise 'pop-up' for AC/DC. Once done shopping for pre-concert souvenirs, my husband and I decided to eat dinner while there. While reservations aren't required... they are highly recommended. There was not an empty seat in the restaurant at 6:30-7pm. We did miraculously manage to find two stools open in the bar. The menu was very limited, as far as variety. We both ended up with burgers... but that's a typical go-to! Despite the busyness, our food came out relatively quickly! It was tasty and prepared just as ordered. Once the food was delivered there was NO ONE that came to check on us.... EVER. Anything we needed, we had to return to the physical bar to get ourselves. Aside from that, our visit was pretty good. The live music for the evening was definitely less than engaging but that's not anything that the restaurant could've fixed.

Fantastic night tonight! We had a private party so had the whole place to ourselves. Delicious buffet with mac'n cheese, jambalaya, pulled pork, beans, coleslaw, cornbread. There was also a good looking fish. I didn't have it but others raved about it. For desert, really moist brownies and mini bourbon bread puddings. Open bar, so people were very happy. I commented that it would be nice to have a water station so those of us not drinking wouldn't have to wait in the drinks line. And lickety split, water station set up. The best part was the live music. Super talented 4 piece band with two guitars, bass and drums. The main guitarist was also on vocals. They played some wonderful versions of some classics. Great solos, very tight knit musical group . Really nice evening with delicious food, great friends, and wonderful music.

HOB is always one of my favorite spots to eat when I visit Chicago. It's not so much the food -- which is good if you stick to their Cajun specialties -- it's the incredible atmosphere. Live blues music playing as you're eating dinner. Unique art plastered on the walls. Monuments to blues legends draped from the ceilings. Definitely great vibes all around. And our service was excellent.

Stopped by after having dinner in the area. Luckily, got the last empty table for two as I was by myself. It was right at the front, making it a great place to enjoy the live music. The service was quick and thorough. I enjoyed a night cap, the espresso martini. It was delicious. Would come back again when visiting the area again.

As many others have mentioned, you go for music and the price of admission even when there is no cover charge are the very overpriced and mediocre cocktails. I highly recommend sipping an iced cold beer slowly so you can enjoy the music without dropping $100/person on drinks. The hostess at the front was really helpful and attentive and the bartenders were all really great. We stopped in for drinks after dinner so we didn't try any of the food. If you're visiting and like live music, this is a great place to check out.

The concert was great. It's a slight smaller venue that i originally thought. We had passes to the VIP lounge and their loaded fries were so tasty. The drinks were well made and the servers were very friendly. The decor is cool but also slightly creepy.

The food was amazingly high quality for a Comedy Show restaurant/bar. The Comedy was great! I laughed my butt off--I wish... I will be back, hopefully, they can make a space for me to try out my act and get booed so I can come back and try it all over again, yupper! I would love that! Great place. Went there in August 2023 for my birthday to cheer myself up after my mother's passing that January 2023, and Voila, it worked! Thank You, House of Blues Comedy Club and Restaurant! #fayerenee

Location location location. You are paying for not only the location but the venue fame. It's a little over the top costs wise. Worth checking off the box for a tourist visit. I would go e a 3.5 as the food is good. Just many other better options near and far in abundance. You can feel the energy and the historic importance of the place its a given. Service is all attentive and split into three server runner buser. Nothing last on the table without attention. Servers are knowledgeable and check on the table often. For me it's a one stop shop. Don't see myself repeating a visit just for price alone.
